Oh dang, I actually read this comment before watching the vid, that makes her their 3rd clean singer/keyboardist Also I’m a fan of Drown the City so I’m happy about this Edit: I probably should’ve guessed but it’s cool to see she’s also doing screams here; song is sick, as expected!
Yeah her name is Alex Reade, former front woman of Drown This City whom sadly went under. She's Aussie and we Aussies know our metalcore for God damn sure.
@@tiagofrancisco6955 it’s crazy how much their sound has evolved yet you can tell when a song is make them suffer, and still throughout their deathcore days and now metal core every song is just solid or perfection
Their last album still tops this for me. Still hopeful for what they have coming next but this song def didn't do it for my ears. I am not the biggest fan of the new singer but I hope I come to love her down the line!
Band is so good my personal favorite and my God this is a level up for them. Alex adds so much more with her diverse vocals. Seriously I've listened to this song over 40 times already
I’m new to Make Them Suffer, but damn I thought this song was fantastic!! Loved the bouncy riffs. And I love the chorus. Sometimes crazy songs should be crazy the whole way through and sometimes a nice break in the chaos is needed. I felt like the “calmer” chorus was great here. Both vocalists killed it. I’m gonna have to listen to their older stuff but I am super stoked for anything new now!
I really recommand you begin by the single Contraband and the album How To Survive A Funeral because this song is the direct sequel to this stuff. (Do not miss the singles "27" and Hallowed Heart who are not on the album) The album before, World Apart, is much more rock focused, very groovy but very different from what you have here. The album before, Old Souls is much closer to their recent stuff, it's heavy and it contains some of their best songs (Fake, Blood Moon, Let Me In...) and it's more symphonic deathcore than their todays sound. The album before is their debut record and it's very much deathcore. It's more "classic" but songs like Widower are classics
@@str1897 The beauty of MTS is that songs like this would get the biggest fucking circle pit going, and they could then quite easily dim the lights, split the fucking room, and then hit those first few notes of Widower and the place would fucking crash and burn with filth. Each of their albums brings something different but it doesn't lose the "heavy" vibe than some bands do as they age and change.
@@bennyhaslonghair absolutely, they each have their own sounds but they remain authentic and has this distinct Make Them Suffer vibe. Perfect for a contrasted show
The whole Worlds Away album is a must. It's the beginning of their sound change from deathcore to more techy-metalcorey-deathcore. Also, the first album with their previous keyboardist/vocalist. It's a must listen. The latest album was not bad, but nothing tops the Worlds Away album. :)
Nice callback title to Contraband. Also this track is just amazing. The new vocalist coming in with good cleans, back up screams, AND a keytar? Sign me up
This was an amazing way to kick off a new era of MTS. The new vocals and the heavier use of synths just fits their sound so well. I have listened to this song on repeat since they released it!
Super sad the bad omens tour had sold out fast, wanted to see these guys since forever! Love her vocals hopefully we’ll get to hear more on the album! Also 4:02 that spooky synth!
Man, Nick writes some of the catchiest fucking riffs. One of my favourite things about MTS. I've only been a fan since 2019, but I love everything about them
Alex was such a great addition to this band and opens up so much more diversity for them as a whole with her melodic vocals on top of her heavy vocals. This track was such a banger and I cant wait for what’s to come. This band just never disappoints.
What a badass song, and it surely is Make them suffer iconic sound and even more refreshing with the new keyboardist. Always love when you clap hands to a banger, same here.
Finally decided to give this band a try after a years worth of procrastinating and holy shit this may be song of the year. That was fucking nasty and groovy. Who knew metalcore would have a keytar in it! 10/10. 2022 banger of the year right here.
Dude. How do they continue to get better, and better, and better .. I’ve been into MTS since Old Souls, but I cannot wait for what’s to come. This was fuckin epic 🚀
I was really worried for the future of this band after I heard they (understandibly) split from Booka. But my god with just this one song they blast all my doubts out the water. Alex adds a complete new layer to the sound. Can't wait what they're going to do next!
Never was a huuuuuge fan of Booka even though Erase Me is one of my favorite songs. Alex is a fantastic replacement. And the fact that she also screams opens a lot of new doors for MTS. Very very excited what comes next. Song 5/5*
I agree a lot. Since the verses are so explosive the chorus doesn't stand out. To me it makes the song sound pretty one-note because there is no real climax in the song. I do really love Alex's vocals though. She kills and her background screams are the highlight of the song. I am excited to see where Make Them Suffer goes next. Going to see them live soon.
I have to disagree with you about the chorus. I always tought MTS would be better without a female vocalist, but she is the first one that I actually like
The last and only song I've heard from these guys is Ether, completely different but a nice change definitely, the video is really well put together to, from me I love it
I’m really impressed with the new keyboardist, she’s killing it in this band already and it’s only her first song with them.
She was the front woman for the band Drown This City. She more then qualified. Probably the best choice for the band to make.
@@calebc4077 I did hear about that recently, super sick.

She was also on their song contraband if I'm not mistaken. Regardless she's a good fit.
They just cant keep getting away with this... there is no way a band can consistently produce banger after banger for literally a decade straight. 🔥🔥🔥
Them aussies and their special water or something
Honestly don’t think they’ve released a bad song, it’s incredible consistency

The keytar is the moment of the year in metalcore. What an amazing addition! This is truly amazing

The pre chorus won my heart, but the keytar won my soul. God damn this is so good.
Almost 100,000 subs dude, congrats! 🤘🏻
Honestly, I really wanted another breakdown in the slowed down part at the end. Not that the song needed it but damn that would have hit.
This song is all around GOOD! Great long intro, sick riffs, great dark melodic chorus and that change before the breakdown was mind blowing!
I've been missing this band since Contraband. So good.
This is worthing the waiting. Damn what a song!!! Total fire 🔥
God I can't wait to see them with Bad Omens
Big facts
same, so hyped to see them both in SLC 🙏
Saw them last night, that entire lineup fucking slaaaaps
I comment this under every reaction but 4:48 is absolutely Hooligans from Issues and I LOVE IT

Easily single of the year, absolutely blown away by this

BRO THE RIFFS
This entire song has the energy of a breakdown
Song ABSOLUTELy slapped!
Loved your reaction, have watched heaps 🤘
I loved the visuals in the video. Very akin to Hypermania from Polaris a couple of years ago.
Also Falling in Reverse - Drugs
Really digging the electronic vibes on the second half of the song! 🔥🥲
Dude. How do they continue to get better, and better, and better .. I’ve been into MTS since Old Souls, but I cannot wait for what’s to come. This was fuckin epic 🚀
For me the chorus was a nice way to slow down the craziness of the song, i think that makes more easy to enjoy when the song is 4 minutes long
I had no idea Alex from Drown This City joined Make Them Suffer!! Bruh....
Hyped as FUCK for new Make Them Suffer!
So so got damn good as always!! MTS left us with a banger last year but is back with a pure filthy banger of the year!!
Love them!
“Well you didn’t ‘make me suffer’ on this one”😂. I feel like I laughed at that way more than I should’ve

Thanks for reacting :) it's soo good 🤟🤟🤟
Make Them Suffer casually coming and dropping another SOTY contender after already winning for me with Contraband last year lol
