    W206 C43 owner here. I like it a lot. U.S. spec has wireless charging available as an option and it’s got a less muffled exhaust sound. Cost is comparable to BMW M340i and I liked the controls layout better in the 43, and I found the standard leather seats more comfortable. The M139L is underrated, in the 43 it is more powerful than advertised, as least in U.S. spec. It handles like a smaller car thanks to 4Matic and rear wheel steering. Mine is fully optioned, it ticked every box other than heated steering wheel, acoustic glass, and performance sound. It cost $78,000 USD new, but I bought mine certified preowned from a trade in from a family who’d had it a week and decided they wanted an SUV. It has plenty of drama, and having owned several U.S. built V8s I don’t miss it.

      This is the modern boy - wants wireless charging over a V8...

    • @mauwalker
      @mauwalker Год назад +2

      @@AmericanBusinessman422Two problems with this quip: (1) I’m female and (2) the M139L will pin you to the back of the seat just as quick as the M177 will. It might not have as much drama but it has its own drama and it’s plenty loud and nasty. And it does have wireless charging but only if you spec it. Mine has it. But that’s not why I got it. I got it because I liked it.

      A disappointment, hell no, if anything, the older one was a disappointment, it wasn't even a real amg, you can have your m340i, but I will take this c43, I won't regret it one bit, plus has a better interior, I would have both but the c43 is the one I'll drive more

      Although I hate 4-pots, I really get this move from Merc to a 4 cylinder. What I don't get is the 2+ tonne (as reported by journalists) of the older sibling, the C63. And the C43 is no lightweight either!
      However, we've seen the same 'Emissions' excuse when the 718 Boxster came out. Sales tanked for that 4-pot, and low and behold, Porsche are back to using a 6-pot.
