  • I needed to get another minor thing fixed on the door that was overlooked when it was replaced and as I was hooking up to take the trailer into the RV dealer, I ran into a slight power problem.
Here is a list of some of the products I use for my trailer on my adventures if you want to check them out.

Hey Stephanie!! I’m telling you that I’m living through you! That’s such a drag to continually have to go back to the camp store for repairs!!! I love how you stay positive through it all though!!❤

Hi, thanks for the video. The jack is not broke, so that's good. The truck plug is designed to only provide very little charging amperage to the trailer to keep a trailer battery (needed for electric breaks) to stay topped off, about 2 or 3 amps. The people at the service center did not see anything apparently disconnected. That probably means somthing drained the battery unless you have a manual battary disconnect switch? I do not know if the trailer came with one. It is simple less expensive upgrade if not. Having one helps from draining the battery when the trailer is not in use. That might be it? You mentioned a solar panel. If a parasitic load is present then, it's there around the clock where a solar panel is only producing power during daylight, so a drain will eventually outpace the charge. Another inexpensive fix is, you can have the battary disconnected and still have a trickle charger hooked up to it from the house electric to maintain it. The battary will live longer if it is stored with a full charge.

Wow, thank you very much for this information! Very informative and helpful. The thing I don’t understand is I haven’t had an issue with the solar keeping the battery charged since I got the trailer months ago. I haven’t changed anything to drain the battery more that I can think of 🤔 I’ll ask about the battery disconnect switch 👍 and I’ll get a power adapter so I can plug the trailer into my house power. Thanks again!

Chexk your house battery be sure the connection bolts are tight; and be sure power cut off switch is on. May sound simple but it’s tiny stuff like that throws everyone for loop; thinking it could be something bigger.. Check your fuses as well. When you have electrical issues these are the first two areas you start with. Process of Elimination. Hopefully you’re up and running quickly 🌅

I have the same trailer. I left my trailer sitting for two weeks. The same thing happened to me. My battery was totally drained! Nothing on inside! I live in the Palm Springs area with major sun/heat. I was upset that the solar panel did not charge up things. What’s the point of the panel if it doesn’t keep things topped off? I ended up putting in a 30amp plug in my driveway to keep my trailer plugged in between trips! But, I will say that when I plugged into my Tacoma Truck, the power hitch did work for me, unlike yours. I look forward to hearing what they say went wrong for you. I just know my solar will only charge little things so off grid isn’t really feasible for more than a few days with this little guy! PS, if you do leave your trailer sit for more than a week, I would definitely throw the battery switch to the off position, otherwise it drains right out. The switch is located on the driver’s side of the hitch right below the propane tanks. Look for it, it’s underneath. It’s a dial like thing. Just turn it. Hope that helps.

Sorry late seeing your dilemma. Sounds like your battery is shot. Some do go bad even when new. Have them do a load test. Have the techs check to see if the solar is charging the battery. You probably have a 12 volt fridge. If that's left on it will drain your batt. If you have a battery shut off, make sure that's not shutting off the solar too. I always have mine plugged into house current to keep the batt up at home. I see you're not using grease on your ball. For battery back up, get a jump starter. I always carry one when camping and an air tank. Compressors are fine but nothing like having a tank ready at will for peace of mind. Happy holidays!

In the event your electric jack fails you are supposed to be able to manually crank the jack down with the crank handle given with the trailer to crank down the stabilizer jacks. Somewhere on the top of the electric jack there should be a small cover to remove and put the crank handle down inside and crank it down. They were supposed to tell you this during your new owner orientation. I would ask them about it next time. Instructions may be somewhere in your owner's manuals. Again I like those boots. (Eyebrows moving up and down.) PS. You back that trailer like a pro. Better than most guys I know could do.

I was going to comment the same thing about manual operation. The same with the awning. It also has a manual crank option. Hope you get the electrical fixed. That can be difficult to diagnose. Were you plugged into electric at home, or do you plan on the solar keeping the battery(s) charged?

Solar does well to keep the battery charged 👍 Electrical was fine, after talking with the technician, I finally figured out I probably left the inverter on and something plugged in. I Haven’t had a problem since 👍

Stephanie, every about selling that trailer while it’s still new spending the money on our real one a BC company makes a trailer called armadillo one piece fibreglass you can live in it full-time and you wouldn’t have any issues you buy this trailer. You can sell this trailer 20 years from now for probably more money than you paid for it same guy that makes these used to make the Bigfoot trailers

Sorry to hear about your electrical issues. It almost seems as though something is draining your battery. Do you have something to check the state of charge of your battery? Since you indicated they recently did some work on your solar, it may be related. Do you charge your batteries using solar while parked in you driveway or do you plug into shore power?
P.S. We have an older E-Pro (2019) and don't even have the door latch. I may install one though..

Hi there 👋 My batteries charge using solar and they stay charged all the time. I haven’t had to plug into shore power while parked in the driveway since I got the trailer. I noticed the power was an issue when I got the door replaced and they reprogrammed the solar panel thinking that was the issue that I wasn’t getting power but I’m still having a problem.

Many 12v electrical issues are a poor ground connection caused by the vibration of traveling. Solar controller should show state of battery and voltage from panel to battery. If everything else 12v works it may be only the power jack. If allowed to observe the trouble shooting process it will be another good learning opportunity. Thank you for sharing this small struggle.@@lifewithstephanie42

I accidentally erased one of the comments I was replying to in this section, but it had to do with the solar panel. So when I took the trailer in to replace the door, the batteries were low and the solar don’t seem to be charging like they were suppose to. I told them about it and they said the solar panel was not programmed to “flooded” so they did that. It seemed to work until I went to take the trailer in this last time and it had no power at all.

Never put a hitch lock while traveling, just use a clip pin god forgive the trailer catches fire you need to unhook quickly

@lifewithstephanie42 it's a red key looking dial mounted on the frame usually under the battery tray or propane tank tray.
