After 5 months, 5 days a week 4 hours every day wearing your simracing shoes with a fanatec V3 pedalboard, I can only say one thing, congratulations, a very comfortable, robust and durable product. I regret the initial confusion when receiving a product in poor condition, but your speed in correcting it says a lot about the positive quality of the company, I wish you the best and I take this opportunity to congratulate you on Christmas.
Cheers Karl, once again you have given me the confidence in a product I have been looking at. Loved that I came here just before purchasing and saw you had reviewed them. Hopefully you get a little something for using your link to the site. That is a Prime cockpit and now these you have helped me to buy with confidence. In Karl we trust. FYI For anyone looking at these its free shipping in the UK and also 10% off at present
Thanks Karl for a great review on the gloves,, I've just got my pair and thanks to you i ordered xxl like you I normally go for large but on your comment about xxl being like a large so definitely stopped me wasting money on gloves that wouldn't fit. Great honest review as always. Have a great day m8. Cheers kris
Good review, tbh I play a lot of golf, so I tried a pair of footjoy suede winter gloves, 2 years in they work a treat. Plus no damage to my suede rim. Think they were about 15 quid.
Just a FWIW: I visited their website and there's a pop-up that tells me that they ship to the U.S.! 👍 U$27.00 + U$10.00 for shipping, AND it doesn't seem to matter how many pairs of gloves you buy, shipping stays at $10.00! 👍👍
I used their gloves for less than a hour and they have done severe damage to my wheel. It done much more damage than they are even worth in zero time at all. I am very pissed off because it was an brand new wheel that I paid serious money for. I even ran ffb at around 35%!
@@peterotremba8980 Interesting. I never did buy these gloves that Karl reviewed here, but did buy some other ones. My Alcantara wheel is also showing signs of wear after a short while, but I attributed it to having used it without gloves maybe 50% of the time. I am now wondering if some gloves actually are WORSE than the natural oils of your hands when NOT using gloves at all??? Hmmmm....
@@Polymer for sure some gloves will wear the wheel down much quicker than using bare hands. I barowed some brand new motorcycle gloves from my brother and it took 2 weeks and they are tarring all over. Now the wheel was in perfect condition afterwards. The gloves are a combo of leather with some suede. As for now, I don’t know what gloves to use. If anything, gloves that are made for racing with Alcantara wheel, that’s probably my best bet.
These rubber patches are wearing out suede almost as fast as not wearing gloves from my experience. Alcantara might react differently, never had anything out of this stuff, but the best material to protect suede is probably suede itself or fake one. Both fibres together develop enough grip, but regularly brushing the wheel with a suede brush is probably still mandatory.
Lol, those pics of shit gloves destroyed my expensive brand new wheel in let that an hour. It’s by far the worst produce I have ever bought with nothing to even come close to it. Last year I bought a super cheap keyboard that ended up just being a scam. Was much more satisfied with it because it at less didn’t damage anything else
Seem like a great price really. I wore out a pair of dirt bike gloves then bought a pair of Abruzzi's but they are way to small even though I measured my hand according to their site.... May have to give these a try next.
Hard to tell by just looking at the video, but they look way too big, baggy. Are you sure XL or even L wouldn't have fit better? The gloves definitely look GREAT! 👍👍👍
I've been check sim cockpits out for the past week and within that week I've come across your videos and must say I really do enjoy your thorough reviews. At this point I may be the most recent subscriber. I've developed a liking for the NLR f-gt cockpit but I have question. How accurate is the motion platform and how much does it add to the feel of driving?
They are fun but not in anyway accurate to real life, they also usually make you a little slower if you have them setup aggressively or are in rally sims where you will be thrown around a lot.
You like them? i bought them and within a couple of hours the inner white stuff was already coming out of the seams everywhere. Then checked the Amazon reviews and read a lot of people have the same experience :-/
@@TraumaTeamRacing Yeah it was literally after about three hours wearing them that I already saw some white filling coming out :-/ Now 2 months later there is padding coming out at almost every place, not only at the seams but also at random places all over the gloves. Thought I might have been unlucky with a bad manufactured pair, but then I read the reviews on Amazon and a lot of people have exactly the same issue. I still wear them because they're very comfy, but I expected a bit more quality from Sparco :)
@@MrEDET Sorry to hear that mate. Had mine for a few months and they're still going strong. Maybe they were a dodgy batch perhaps? Have you looked at replacements?
yeah they are just like bmx gloves i wish they had it so the wrist extended a couple inches more and it to be stretchy on the wrist i hate wearing gloves that dont go up the wrist a bit
Hey, Thanks for the feedback, we developed a short glove as we found during testing that if the wrist is covered, it makes the hand feel a lot warmer! We are always looking to develop new products though so keep an eye on simhound.com for future products and developments!
@@KarlGosling Thanks for getting back to me! I've read some other comments in this video of people seemingly ruining their wheel with these, but if you haven't heard anything about that I'm sure they're fine. Thank you!
@@adamsimhound4155 I've been using batting practice gloves 😅 I'll give yours a try! It's hard to feel individual keys on a pad when you have a brick covering your face

I use bmx gloves from ebay, dead cheap, extra comfy and grippy and lasted over a year so far and still going strong! Not bad for a fiver aye

Thanks a lot for this review ! Bit concerned about the palm design already getting loose but look great and are pretty affordable !
Karl,
Would love to hear your comments on how these SimHound gloves held up over time...

Would have been too short when actually closing my hands around a wheel, but I don't have another size to test.

Can I ask what you measured your hand at. Mine was 24cm,which seems to be crossover between 2xl & 3xl. Which would you recommend?
You would guess the black and White thing. Especially looking at the room behind you.

Any responses to the comments on these destroying alcantara wheels? I ordered these, and now I'm a bit worried to be honest.

They appear to be £25 not £18.50??
I think they were on offer at the time of recording.
Thank you
You're welcome
If the quality they offer is the same as that of the sim racing shoes, it is not worth it, poor quality at an excessive price.
I don’t know man but those gloves seems to be way to big for your hands.
Once you grip a steering wheel they are spot on, you have to remember this when trying on gloves, we don't drive open handed.
