That “you wouldn’t understand” in regard to her faith was the ultimate disrespect from Sabine to Thrawn. His whole character is built in knowledge and understanding as many cultures as possible.
Thrawn pulling up with a dead army is more than we could've asked for and the fact that Thrawn put gold on therye armor and turned them into art that is soo Thrawn.

I’m most excited about what Baylan is referring to as the beginning - almost Prometheus vibes - and what Thrawn and the Nightsisters are running from. I think Thrawn is actually referring to that “greater power” rather than himself when he tells Sabine “You gambled the fate of your galaxy on that belief.” And probably why he seems confident Baylan and Shin won’t make it back in time. Possible that Thrawn might be the least of Ashoka’s worries by the end of the season.

After 30 years, the Heir to the Empire himself has been seen on screen in the flesh. It honestly is so surreal to me as someone who’s read both the HTTE trilogy, as well as Zahn’s canon novels (which are arguably even better than HTTE imo). That was one of the coldest entrances I’ve EVER seen in Star Wars 🔥🔥🔥. Even for those that haven’t watched Rebels or read the novels, I think this episode did a good job at starting to solidify not only why he is feared, but also how different he is from most Star Wars villains
Oh man! I think Kailyn may be right?! I never thought of it, but the whales wouldn’t decompose in space. Unless… maybe they have the decomposition microbes in their bodies, and after they die, the microbes run rampant. Oh the things we worry about. 😂 Star Wars… am I right?!
Rebels takes place around five years before the original trilogy, the original trilogy is about four years, then I believe Mandalorian is about five years after return of the Jedi in season one. Then from then Jon Favreau said around two years have you passed.
Hey new sub here! Great reaction! It's been, at least 9 years for Ezra and Sabine. Remember Jacen was not born when he took Thrawn to this other galaxy.
A few tubers has complained about Lars Mikkelsen looking fat and his pants baggy, instead of considering the fact that he's become old, changed by the exile and that the actors had to adapt a lot from the animated series while bringing something completely new and different into it at the same time. If Thrawn had to look exactly like the CGI version he would've looked like a mix between a blue muppet, a human and something made with GMod :D
I love Baylan so much. One of the most interesting new character. I want to know his whole story. If I had to bet, I’d say Anakin/Vader killed his apprentice or his master during Order 66.
The night troopers look amazing, you can hear the distorted voices when they are chanting thrawns name. Baylan plans is the most intriguing part of star wars we've had in a long time. Did anyone else pick up in the night troopers moving coffins to the chimera, Morgan mentioned the catacombs, seems like thrawn is preparing an undead army.
I highly recommend you guys read the Heir to the Empire trilogy and the new canon Thrawn novels. His character is far more dynamic than the show reveals.
Baylan is playing a longer game than even Thrawn. The reason Baylan isn't concerned about a Thrawn/New Republic war is because he's looking for a power to end what he sees as the galaxy's cycle. "One must destroy in order to create."(1) Baylan believes there is a power on that planet (or in that galaxy, somewhere) that will wipe the slate clean, so he can create a new galaxy that fits his vision and breaks the historic cycle. (1) Picasso: "Every act of creation begins with an act of destruction"
You know what would be really cool? A series with huyang narrating stories about the Jedi and other stuff over the years. I would watch the heck out of something like that!
Last scene of the season should be a reuniting of the whole Rebels gang! Ahsoka, Ezra, Hera Sabine, Zeb, Chop, Jacen and even Zadi preparing to confront Thrawn.
This episode was fantastic I wonder what this new threat might be but I'm glad to see the Rebels back together now they must find Zeb. I'm a new subscriber great video love your reactions I'm excited as well there's so much Star Wars on the way plus Star Wars Outlaws and Eclipse I can't wait to play lol
I was thinking the same thing about the Purgill carcasses but also there could be organisms that live in this universe that feed on things like debris and carcasses that float around? Similar to skeletons you'd find in the sea, the whales came there to die, then slowly over time things picked away at the flesh and meat until there were just the bones left. Just a thought.
In regards to the timeline, Ezra and Thrawn left 1r BBY (Before Battle of Yavin). Star Wars Episodes 4-6 lasted 4-6 years. Ahsoka takes places 8-10 years after Return of the Jedi. So, Ezra & Thrawn have been gone between 13 - 17 years.
I would love to see you guys react to Arcane, from a great story telling perspective. When it comes to Star Wars in Dave Filoni we trust to do all that we need to have done to move the franchise forward.
Kailyn's right now bacteria/bugs to work on the bodies they would just float and slowly be pulled in to the planet by gravity and probably burn up during reentry. But that can take from years to millennia
8:10 about the decomposition: don't forget it's science *_fiction_* . If you want to analyze Star Wars scientifically and be consistent in your critique, you should also address all the explosions in space. They should be silent, since there's no sound in space because of the vacuum.
Unpopular opinion: I like the Thrawn from the books (Timothy Zahn's latest book trilogy in particular - Thrawn, Alliances and Treason) waay more than the version of Thrawn from Rebels and now Ahsoka. I watched Rebels after I read the books and I was a bit disappointed with him, although everyone loves him in Rebels. He was more of an antihero in the books, compared to Rebels where he is a straight up evil villain. In the books he strategizes in such a way that loss of life is minimized, on either side. He will never kill unless there is no other way around it, unlike here. The version from the books makes me sympathize with him all the way. I get it, too much moral ambiguity and complexity was perhaps unnecessary in an animated series made for a younger audience, but now the same version of evil Thrawn is in the Ahsoka series. I wish they would've went with the books version.
Kintsugi is the Japanese art of using gold to reattach pottery or porcelain (Stormtrooper armor/armour). Boken Jedi, boken are wooden training swords. The nomads armor/armour and weapons are super Japanese. George Lucas NEVER referred to Japanese culture ever... the whole time, whoops! (Also, yes 10 years time jump. Dune on that gold shuttle 💯. Are those Night Troopers zombies? So many theories)
Talk about timeline of this episode... In episode 1 (S1), there was scene when people of Lothal celebrate 7 years of their freedom day from Empire (the day Ezra drag Thrawn and the rest of its troopers into other galaxy with the help of Purgill). The celebration that Sabine refused to join and left the event before Azadi speech. So I think it was about 7 years Ezra (and Thrawn) gone missing until the event of this episode. CMIIW though.
As far as Enoch - I’m thinking a Dathomiri male possibly… maybe somehow SAVAGE!?!?! In my dreams but I’d settle for any Dathomiri male back in live action
Lol I actually searched this up right after I watched the episode “Does organic matter decompose in space?” 😅 Because I was like, they wouldn’t right? No microbes to break down the material. Space whale rules I guess, since they can live in space there must also be other organisms that can too… AND I also thought about the time thing but apparently there’s no relativity in Star Wars either
If you know anything about history that mask becomes even more menacing. The mask Enoch is wearing is very similar to the burial masks that ancient Romans once made to remember their dead. It could be an easter egg into who or what Thrawn's troops are now.
I watched on my OLED TV where I stretched the screen vertically as I always do if possible, to get rid of the black bars, along with upscaling all content to 60fps of course, but this made especially Thrawn look so much better, taller, leaner, and younger, and it didn't make the other character have long faces or anything, and Thrawn skin and eyes also looks way better on an OLED screen, cause of the perfect contrast, and the colour set to 100%, full brightness. Also I don't remember that Thrawn and Sabine ever met in person, this is the first time, she only saw him through a hologram when he was bombarding Lothal I think, but here she didn't seem scared of him at all, probably cause she's still way to cocky, she doesn't know even a little of what he's capable of, especially with his new allies. And I love how Shin and Baylan both know that they can't just take out Thrawn, and even if they did, they'd be taken down by the nightsister and nighttroopers, that's Thrawn power, he doesn't have any himself, but he can do so much, with so few assets and allies.
A lot of dumb stuff said in this video. The tag line has always been canon...it's in just about every movie...it's just the first time it's been spoken out loud instead of just text. No, a human body would not decompose in space where there is no oxygen, however we don't know anything about the makeup of a Space Whale's body, where they are designed to exist in space so they bight have a different molecular construction that does degrade. No she just said that Peridia was her ancestor's home world so that is where the Dathomir people originally came from and then just named their new home world after their race. Yes it's been ten years. Why would it give you Dune vibes when it looks exactly like Clone Wars...it gives Clone Wars vibes. No they are not Loth Wolves...that's a different galaxy. It actually did work since by getting Thrawn out of the way, they beat the Empire and destroyed a planet destroying space station since in that time.
Morgan and party would have still rescued Thrawn and brang him and the Chimaera back to the SW galaxy, regardless of Sabine's presence with them. So it's not really her fault (except for wanting to take the map in her tower, unprotected at the beginning of the season). Ahsoka would have still wanted to get to Peridia regardless of Sabine's alignement as well. So ultimately, Sabine didn't really undo anything. The New Republic captain in the first episode is the real idiot who let an unknown Jedi dock on his ship instead of fleeing with his valuable prisoners directly back to Coruscant... As much as I hate Sabine's actress way of playing the character and the Disney narrative, the character of Sabine is not at fault of bringing back Thrawn, not really.
You don't need to decompose to end up being pulverized frozen meat after millions of years in space. EDIT: YES it's been 10 years since Thrawn and Ezra disappeared. Stop second guessing yourself.
"You wouldn't understand." To a person who seeks to understand everything. Great insult to Thrawn from Sabine. Enoch = Wes Chathum of The Expanse. I wonder if he'll be one of the few not animated troopers. The creatures are more hermit crab Ewoks.
Unnecessary dude. You weren’t moved? Fine. So say that. Different people will react in different ways. No need for the snark. After 46 years of loving SW my totally reflexive reaction was one of emotion.

The liberation of lothal was in 1 bby and the show is taking place about 9 aby so yes, 10 years. Ezra is about 28 years old in this
15 years have passed since Rebels
It's been 9 years.
The zombie death troopers are my favorite on this episode
Very Bene Geserit vibes.
indeed
Space whale rules I guess, since they can live in space there must also be other organisms that can too…
AND I also thought about the time thing but apparently there’s no relativity in Star Wars either
and there is sound in space! george lucas laws of nature ⚡️
Thread of fate. Will of the force. Feels very yin and Yang lol
If you know anything about history that mask becomes even more menacing. The mask Enoch is wearing is very similar to the burial masks that ancient Romans once made to remember their dead. It could be an easter egg into who or what Thrawn's troops are now.
Everyone about Howler: What an ugly crea... Aww, I want one
11:19 Baylan got a point you got to admit
And I love how Shin and Baylan both know that they can't just take out Thrawn, and even if they did, they'd be taken down by the nightsister and nighttroopers, that's Thrawn power, he doesn't have any himself, but he can do so much, with so few assets and allies.
can’t wait to watch again on a big screen 😮😮😮
*Gleaming*
lol

It actually did work since by getting Thrawn out of the way, they beat the Empire and destroyed a planet destroying space station since in that time.
you seem fun
Project blackwing finally happened
Why are bandits on every dirt trail of every depopulated moon in Star Wars? What is with this economy?
You don't need to decompose to end up being pulverized frozen meat after millions of years in space.
EDIT: YES it's been 10 years since Thrawn and Ezra disappeared. Stop second guessing yourself.
"You wouldn't understand." To a person who seeks to understand everything. Great insult to Thrawn from Sabine.
Enoch = Wes Chathum of The Expanse. I wonder if he'll be one of the few not animated troopers.
The creatures are more hermit crab Ewoks.
Plus Claudia Black (Erin Sun from Farscape, or Vala from SG1)
"this is very star wars esq."
yea its star wars....
some things labeled “star wars” don’t feel very star wars…
Everything with Gen Z's is so bleak. That's what happens when you're the progeny of those who witnessed 9/11.
was expecting a chad looking thrawn like baylan not an old dude with a dad bod smh
thrawn looked great
thrawn is 70 years old at this point...
well looks like he only eats fast food@@nerdymarriedcouple
He looks like fat Elon Musk. Not villain material. I'd be more worried about the death eaters... er I mean night sisters
If far,far away blew your mind i feel sorry for your mind. It apparently doesnt take much to blow it.
Unnecessary dude. You weren’t moved? Fine. So say that. Different people will react in different ways. No need for the snark. After 46 years of loving SW my totally reflexive reaction was one of emotion.
what a fun attitude you have
Way to hone your joylessness.
