- Day 10 of my two week solo trip in the UK was a quick day trip to Cardiff, Wales! Come along with me as I explore Cardiff Castle and Cardiff city center on another beautiful day in the UK.
Cardiff is an amazing city and a great little intro to the culture and individuality of Wales.

Oh missed so much in Cardiff.
The Bay, even the stunning walk from the Bay to Penarth along the barrage on a sunmers day is amazing.
Castel Coch - A beautiful fairytale castle
St Fagans - a free open and inside museum that spans acres.. they have a complete history and is a must when visiting Cardiff
I know! I had such a short amount of time but I didn’t want to miss Cardiff all together. There will be a much longer visit to Wales in my future!

Live in Cardiff/Caerdydd and enjoyed your video. I really must give the castle another visit as just take it for granted. Yes, the Marquis of Bute owned the castle and park until he gave it to Cardiff Council in 1947 (the Bute's owned much of the city - esp mines and docks etc during the nineteenth century). For any visitor who likes the Gothic Revival (such as the decor within the castle), the Butes also owned and decorated another castle just outside the city >>> Castell Coch. That is definitely worth a visit. That castle too was given away by the Butes in the 1950's.

I’m in Cardiff right now for a day or so. I thoroughly walked the castle grounds today and the entire perimeter. But did not go in. Thanks for showing what I missed!

I had never even heard of Cardiff before this video. But now I want to go see that creepy castle!

@BonVoyageBrenda You really should !! Wales is the most beautiful country in U.K.& one of the most beautiful countries in the world !! I love Wales / Italy/ Argentina the best !!! I'll visit all over Wales someday soon ,too !! Gem 💎 Wales is also the most affordable/ budget friendly country in U.K.& compared to Ireland . 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
I have to say, you missed a lot. For example, you didn't go and visit the Bay. But Cardiff needs at least two days to visit properly, and when you get only one day, it can be difficult, and frustrating.
I totally agree! I will be doing another visit because I only had a short time. But I’m glad I got to visit at all!
Bara brith at Pettigrew & Fuchsia Cafe in Tenby are the best !!! Welshcakes were very yummy at Rogue Welshcakes at Newport Market in Newport, Wales & M& S got real yummy ones ,too ~!! I didn't have any Welshcakes from Pettigrew, so I trust your words as they are real good tea house & very popular ! I visited Cardiff in Sumner 2022 & had an awesome time !! 👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶🏴💕💞
