Thumbs up for visiting Avebury and not just Stonehenge. There are lots of neolithic sites close to Avebury. Silbury Hill is quite enigmatic. Salisbury Cathedral is fantastic, but I'd recommend Winchester over Salisbury, both because its cathedral has an even more spectacular interior, and the city of Winchester has even more jaw-dropping architecture than Salisbury. Also Winchester was the capital of England in Saxon times before 1066.

I hope Manchester is on your list. Look up all the things invented in Manchester, England and it will blow your mind. Capital of the north. Also the home of industrial revolution and famed for great music and famous bands. Settled by Romans and Englands second city.
