Scouring pads and metal bristle brush on a non stick surface. That's why you're finding it hard to clean it, there's no coating left! Also, by using that mat, you're not going to be able to drain the fat sufficiently.

Hi Tony. If it’s not windy not a problem. It does need some protection if above breezy.

Just had you suggested to watch. I don’t usually enjoy RUclips/internet bloggers vloggers etc, but you made me chuckle- is it the gin though 🤣

A great video you two👍. My question is slightly off topic. How does the Cadac perform without the Windbreak? Regards Tony

Glad I found you guys. I’m a big time barbecues and pizza oven user. Top tip with cleaning a bbq grill.... don’t bother. Next time you want to use it get it really hot, this burns off any nasty bugs, bacteria etc and then give it a quick brush with a bbq brush. Been doing that for years ever since a Weber rep advised it.
Just ordered my Cadac as an addition to my collection. Lol

I had to check my playback speed thinking I’d got it set to 2x but no, it was normal. Never have I heard so much enthusiasm for a cooking gadget. Personally I don’t get cooking outside, not ashamed to admit it, my caravan kitchen is fine. Chin chin both.

I got bored with the waffling I left half way through, why use 5 words when 500 will do!

Seems like too much unnecessary effort with this grill mat. Rather, when you're finished grilling, just use lemon or water and your brush and give it a quick clean. The trick is to do it while the grill is still a bit warm.
