Think of her a bit like if they made a Sucrose Kokomi hybrid but even more layed back to play. Inazuma Anemo character that scales on EM with a speedy on field skill and a burst that summons a cute thing that heals allies that are below 70% HP or deals damage otherwise? Nope, I’ve never seen anything like this before Jokes aside, I am a little disappointed in how her healing works. Only proccing below 70% HP and only for the onfielder is a little sad, especially given Furina seems to be a good partner for her. I wish she had a passive like Sayu where she healed the entire party a little bit when she triggers swirl onfield, in exchange for her burst healing being a bit lower. It’s also sad how they locked the removal of the 70% HP restriction behind her C4 while Sayu’s is on her C1
@ Benny’s is a different thing entirely. Mizuki and Sayu’s cons remove the restriction so that they can always heal, Benny’s just removes the restriction for the attack buff, it’s not exactly completely comparable

the thing that i never get about genshin or other gacha games is what's the purpose of making this kind of characters so mid/bad. you are wasting time and "effort" into making a whole new unit for what? at LEAST make them really good on one team or somewhat playable instead of them being incredible bad or mid, not even worth pulling for the sake of having them. her design is so pretty and the animations too its sad
The only modern gacha that still does this is Genshin lol But either way who really cares, its not like Sige or Dehya where they were already a character people anticipated, Mizuki is a complete stranger. My problem is if her kit is gonna need cons to do its job.
i hate, that they waste so much artists work with basic attacks for characters who never make them (most of the characters in genshin lol). For example, Yunjin has amazing basic attacks and recovery after them. And many others. And all that work is just wasted by kit designers.

Burning team can have Pyro Traveler, Mavuika, Xiangling, Emilie with all characters having off-field application that doesn't require any actions from the on-field character, plus those characters deal quite good damage, esp Xiangling with Bennett's buff even without reactions, but it's just raw damage bruteforce at this point. The idea of turning Swirls into some kind of Nilou-Blooms is cool, but the realization and numbers are just not there.
13:37 For the Gilded Dreams thing, reminder that having 2 Anemo in the team reduces the amount of EM the 4p gives. Also the VV shred being triggered by Mizuki is probably more consistent, so putting the Gilded Dreams on your off-field Anemo is probably a better option in that scenario

She doesn't group, she doesn't buff the team (just VV), she doesn't really deal talent damage, she's less flexible than the alternatives. Well, at least she heals a little bit. Worst part: Swirl is already struggling because they put single-target check on both sides of Abyss. Yet, she's not that bad compared to the other standard 5*. Swirl is just that busted of a mechanic in AoE. On the other hand, people already at the late game have zero incentives to build her.
@yamsbeans Apparently, they did make an abyss special for Mizuki (version 5.4[1]). However, I have a hard time believing this is a permanent change, and we'll no longer have bosses on both sides. I think much more likely it would be for Hoyo to develop a new game mode focused on AoE, and Spiral Abyss would be focused on single-target. Of course, if AoE focused Abyss becomes a trend, the value of Kazuha, Sucrose and Venti is gonna skyrocket. Could this be a return of Freeze teams?
Funny thing is that the correct romaji nihonshiki writing would be Yumemiduki Mizuki which actually says "mid" in her surname. Note that the wiki wrote it as Yumemidzuki but that is incorrect, づ can only be written as "du" in the nihonshiki, and "zu" in the kunreishiki and hebonshiki. Also note that only the surname can be written as "Yumemiduki", and not the name "Mizuki", since one is written as （ゆめ）みづき and the other as みずき. However, the phone "du" and "zu" are pronounced the same in modern standard Japanese. But yeah, it would not be incorrect to write her name Yumemiduki if you really think she is mid.
Im starting to notice that Hoyo does notice that certain elemental reactions need a buff... and they use that to instead build a character with that kit. Why buff freeze when you can have a character work off that (Freminet). Burning? Here's Emilie. Swirl? Here's Yamemizuki Mizuki. They're trying to dodge the problem by instead sell off a different solution. Like selling you windows when your house door needs fixing.

My first team to kill wenut without a sweat was Furina Fishl Kokomi Kazuha. I was just onfielding Kokomi, it was truly a summon team. Probably can do some funny shit with Mizuki Furina Fishl Yae and it will still work just fine. So I prefer losing 50/50 to her instead of more than a half of standard.
I’m just going to call it rn it may or may not happen but many ppl who defend this character going to be like “I clear the abyss perfectly fine” while other side take 30s to clear and another side with mizuki will take double or triple of that time
I'm getting Dehya vibes from her, which means she's gonna end up being good with the cryo archon and usable as a utility/sub dps with other Snezhnaya characters. Edit: her pose when she does her burst is reason enough to get her, her looks are dreamy!

Well, her C6 IS just like Nahida's C2. Just like Mizuki's C6 is screenshot bait for "deals 30% more damage", Nahida's C2 (the reaction part) is also screenshot bait for "deals 20% more damage". I guess the main difference is that 20% more damage on blooms is a lot better than 30% more damage on swirls.
I mean, standard banner is a free character eventually so no point complaining too much. Better than HSR releasing 10 5* for every 4* while HP-inflating the game to the point where units can only last over 2 months if you have dupes, other synergistic units or favourable chamber buffs

C2 Citlali can also replace Ororon or Yae in tazer teams with Furina & Fischl. Sometimes she triggers big superconducts with the recent superconduct buff, she hyper-buffs Furina (and/or ig Fischl if you want), and she gives Mizuki 250 EM and a shield. Also follows you around, unlike Ororon, so she's more comfy
mizuki is gonna be good & interesting if >she can also apply phec, so like chasca but more focus on transformative reaction DPS >she can deploy some form of elemental aura and she can swirl it, also make her anemo DoT an self center AoE instead of auto targeting AoE
She feels like she's meant for casual run-around-the-overworld f2p accounts given she works with guaranteed characters like Kaeya, Lisa, Xiangling, and Lynette, doesn't take much work, and is easy to play.
How hard would it really be to set up a melt-swirl? Idk how to come up with a team like that, maybe someone who applies a little of either element to multiple targets + someone who applies a lot of the other element but to only 1 target, then swirl?
Being anemo is already good, especially for newer players. For us who's been playing since week 1, its just another vv holder you feel like playing time to time in overworld.

If she can't than yeah thats pretty restrictive to snapshotting units, although they should still have like 110% or something damage from Furina + Ororon (if you run Ororon+Fischl/Lisa he should always already be first anyways) so not the biggest deal just a little unfortunate. If you can swap off her during burst than just delay Fischl/Lisa etc not the biggest problem in the world. I do see it being easier especially on first rotation with none snapshotting units, i just bring this up because sometimes Zajef's comments accidentally lead to people going "OH NO THAT CHARACTER CAN NEVER USE THAT BUFF" etc when sometimes its just hes saying its easier, less complicated with others, and i think that is what is happening here.
You can't even do taser. Her heals are not teamwide and Furina demands that, but you have no other Hydro option. Her healing in general doesn't seem to be enough to keep the team alive against heavy hitting enemies either (btw can she even dodge in her floating state?)
Leaks have said the next abyss will have a 600% swirl damage buff on the top half. If they are going that far in order to make Miziku appear better than total trash then you know she is suck really badly.
I think Mizuki has good Potential to get better as we get more Team-wide buffers. i think the biggest problem is she wants a team where everyone is doing off field dmg. but Besides Furina i can't really think of a team wide dmg booster. As pretty much all dmg buffers are given to at most 2 characters.

An anemo on field that doesnt relied on burst or crit/crit dmg is alway welcome imo. She can make any team work as long as it P.E.A.C . Burning with Emilie and Faruzan , Taser with Furina , she can even work in Dendro team too . Man i just love any character that use EM as their main stat :v .
@@dangkhoa100 faruzan is an anemo support, but she buffs anemo dmg. mizuki is built full em, her anemo dmg is extremely low. she's a swirl dps. her dmg comes from swirls. faruzan will buff only the small amount of anemo dmg mizuki does, making her effectively useless for comparison, that's like putting emblem on furina. like, yeah, sure, she does have burst dmg, but that's like 0.01% of her dmg output

heck my burning team atm is kazuha/emilie/Dehya and Faruzan C6 . Kazuha full EM , Emilie crit/crit dmg , Dehya hp (cause i dont event use her properly) and about Faruzan you dont have to worry about her burst since you are using 2 anemo anyway .

the thing that i never get about genshin or other gacha games is what's the purpose of making this kind of characters so mid/bad. you are wasting time and "effort" into making a whole new unit for what? at LEAST make them really good on one team or somewhat playable instead of them being incredible bad or mid, not even worth pulling for the sake of having them. her design is so pretty and the animations too its sad

Burning team can have Pyro Traveler, Mavuika, Xiangling, Emilie with all characters having off-field application that doesn't require any actions from the on-field character, plus those characters deal quite good damage, esp Xiangling with Bennett's buff even without reactions, but it's just raw damage bruteforce at this point. The idea of turning Swirls into some kind of Nilou-Blooms is cool, but the realization and numbers are just not there.

13:37 For the Gilded Dreams thing, reminder that having 2 Anemo in the team reduces the amount of EM the 4p gives. Also the VV shred being triggered by Mizuki is probably more consistent, so putting the Gilded Dreams on your off-field Anemo is probably a better option in that scenario

She doesn't group, she doesn't buff the team (just VV), she doesn't really deal talent damage, she's less flexible than the alternatives. Well, at least she heals a little bit.
Worst part: Swirl is already struggling because they put single-target check on both sides of Abyss.
Yet, she's not that bad compared to the other standard 5*. Swirl is just that busted of a mechanic in AoE.
On the other hand, people already at the late game have zero incentives to build her.

@yamsbeans Apparently, they did make an abyss special for Mizuki (version 5.4[1]).
However, I have a hard time believing this is a permanent change, and we'll no longer have bosses on both sides.
I think much more likely it would be for Hoyo to develop a new game mode focused on AoE, and Spiral Abyss would be focused on single-target.
Of course, if AoE focused Abyss becomes a trend, the value of Kazuha, Sucrose and Venti is gonna skyrocket. Could this be a return of Freeze teams?

Funny thing is that the correct romaji nihonshiki writing would be Yumemiduki Mizuki which actually says "mid" in her surname.
Note that the wiki wrote it as Yumemidzuki but that is incorrect, づ can only be written as "du" in the nihonshiki, and "zu" in the kunreishiki and hebonshiki.
Also note that only the surname can be written as "Yumemiduki", and not the name "Mizuki", since one is written as （ゆめ）みづき and the other as みずき. However, the phone "du" and "zu" are pronounced the same in modern standard Japanese. But yeah, it would not be incorrect to write her name Yumemiduki if you really think she is mid.

Im starting to notice that Hoyo does notice that certain elemental reactions need a buff... and they use that to instead build a character with that kit. Why buff freeze when you can have a character work off that (Freminet). Burning? Here's Emilie. Swirl? Here's Yamemizuki Mizuki.
They're trying to dodge the problem by instead sell off a different solution. Like selling you windows when your house door needs fixing.

My first team to kill wenut without a sweat was Furina Fishl Kokomi Kazuha. I was just onfielding Kokomi, it was truly a summon team. Probably can do some funny shit with Mizuki Furina Fishl Yae and it will still work just fine. So I prefer losing 50/50 to her instead of more than a half of standard.
I’m just going to call it rn it may or may not happen but many ppl who defend this character going to be like “I clear the abyss perfectly fine” while other side take 30s to clear and another side with mizuki will take double or triple of that time

Well, her C6 IS just like Nahida's C2. Just like Mizuki's C6 is screenshot bait for "deals 30% more damage", Nahida's C2 (the reaction part) is also screenshot bait for "deals 20% more damage".
I guess the main difference is that 20% more damage on blooms is a lot better than 30% more damage on swirls.
That mizuki and sigewinne banner is gonna be the most skipped banner of all time.
I mean, standard banner is a free character eventually so no point complaining too much. Better than HSR releasing 10 5* for every 4* while HP-inflating the game to the point where units can only last over 2 months if you have dupes, other synergistic units or favourable chamber buffs

C2 Citlali can also replace Ororon or Yae in tazer teams with Furina & Fischl. Sometimes she triggers big superconducts with the recent superconduct buff, she hyper-buffs Furina (and/or ig Fischl if you want), and she gives Mizuki 250 EM and a shield. Also follows you around, unlike Ororon, so she's more comfy

Being anemo is already good, especially for newer players. For us who's been playing since week 1, its just another vv holder you feel like playing time to time in overworld.
19:10 can she not freely enter and re-enter her burst state? If she can't than yeah thats pretty restrictive to snapshotting units, although they should still have like 110% or something damage from Furina + Ororon (if you run Ororon+Fischl/Lisa he should always already be first anyways) so not the biggest deal just a little unfortunate. If you can swap off her during burst than just delay Fischl/Lisa etc not the biggest problem in the world.
I do see it being easier especially on first rotation with none snapshotting units, i just bring this up because sometimes Zajef's comments accidentally lead to people going "OH NO THAT CHARACTER CAN NEVER USE THAT BUFF" etc when sometimes its just hes saying its easier, less complicated with others, and i think that is what is happening here.

Her heals are not teamwide and Furina demands that, but you have no other Hydro option. Her healing in general doesn't seem to be enough to keep the team alive against heavy hitting enemies either (btw can she even dodge in her floating state?)
Leaks have said the next abyss will have a 600% swirl damage buff on the top half. If they are going that far in order to make Miziku appear better than total trash then you know she is suck really badly.
Yumemizuki mizuki, furina, fishcl and venti wouldve been bonkers like Morgana level broken in 1.0 abyss.
Have you considered the possibility of overvape teams? Taser + Overload, with Mizuki's shred, grouping, and EM, could be quite decent.

I think Mizuki has good Potential to get better as we get more Team-wide buffers. i think the biggest problem is she wants a team where everyone is doing off field dmg. but Besides Furina i can't really think of a team wide dmg booster. As pretty much all dmg buffers are given to at most 2 characters.

An anemo on field that doesnt relied on burst or crit/crit dmg is alway welcome imo. She can make any team work as long as it P.E.A.C . Burning with Emilie and Faruzan , Taser with Furina , she can even work in Dendro team too . Man i just love any character that use EM as their main stat :v .

@@dangkhoa100 faruzan is an anemo support, but she buffs anemo dmg. mizuki is built full em, her anemo dmg is extremely low. she's a swirl dps. her dmg comes from swirls. faruzan will buff only the small amount of anemo dmg mizuki does, making her effectively useless
for comparison, that's like putting emblem on furina. like, yeah, sure, she does have burst dmg, but that's like 0.01% of her dmg output

heck my burning team atm is kazuha/emilie/Dehya and Faruzan C6 . Kazuha full EM , Emilie crit/crit dmg , Dehya hp (cause i dont event use her properly) and about Faruzan you dont have to worry about her burst since you are using 2 anemo anyway .
A barely playable character that will for sure ruin one of my pulls in the future or C2 Furina, such a difficult choice.
