SN: I passed my second attempt yesterday. I just did this video to highlight my experience with failing the exam on my first attempt. How I Passed The CompTIA CySA+: ruclips.net/video/I3Jba_n7sXU/видео.html
Now try TCM security's PNPT. It would be nice if you review it after passing in terms of comparison between OSCP and PNPT, PNPT with real life Pentesting job.
Thank you for posting this!! I took mine yesterday and barely failed as well. I've not done a comptia before, and I expected the practice exams to be similar to the actual exam and they weren't at all. Now I know and can study properly for my retake, and I know my weaknesses in my knowledge.
Dude, thank you for posting something like this. I'm sorry you failed this last time, but I know this will springboard you back onto the success rocket ship through motivation and perseverance. Keep up the excellent content and work!
For the record, you mentioned underestimating the certification. It's not a 1-1 comparison but I can't count how many midterms and finals I underestimated and paid dearly for. My Discreet Structures midterm will live in infamy.
One step back and two steps forward. We all have those moments. It's learning from the experience that makes you stronger. Side note: I failed the CISSP the first time. Back then it was all paper exam with a limited time period. Bottom line, I wasn't prepared. Passed it the second time but you are correct it is a humbling experience. It also makes you think about "core strengths" versus your weaknesses.
Keep it up!! I always share advice to everyone. Read materials in your favorite Teacher's voice. Doesn't matter what he/she taught, just take that voice and read it. You'll retain information better than reading in your own voice in your mind. Since then, I had no problem passing on first try. I know it's going to get tougher for me. But I had no problem passing exams with my favorite teacher's voice. Best of luck!
I pass this test on the 1st attempt and like I stated on them your LinkedIn profile the exercises that you and Ronnie have done has helped me out a lot better I believe is how I was able to pass the lab questions online. you got to think about the questions as kind of like what a manager would do in this situation is the type of questions that I ran into Good luck I know you can get this done.
Just revisiting this as I’m doing pentest+ for the third time next month. Comptia make things VERY tricky, and I’ve had 3 years in the industry. I passed CYSA+ first time but COMPTIA make things very hard.
Great job. Yea that exam is a BEAST! I studied for 6 months straight and still failed on my first attempt by 100 points. I then passed it on my second attempt 😅
I failed the beta version by even less.....I feel your pain. Wish I had studied even a little. Don't underestimate this test or really any other test, always prepare! lik'd and sub'd
Great video man, even though I’m slightly older than you, I look up to your progress and your videos, I only wish you elaborated on what made you fail but I look forward to your second video
I failed mine last week with a 730. Lots of log analisis that they dont discuss on the objectives. But its true what you said, i underestimated the exam but now im gonna give it my all to learn all the material throrougly
Just had my first attempt yesterday. Got a 727! 23 points short! It hurts to be that close and have to redo it all again! 3 hours is draining mentally lol. It’s much harder than any of the mocks around in my opinion. There were only around 20 questions that seemed to be information related and most of the rest were hands on experience type questions. I felt like even knowing the information I had no clue for some and was just taking educated guesses. Wish me the best for my second try! I’ll be giving it another go in a week or 2. So close but not over yet :S
@@DayCyberwox Honestly, I feel I know the content... some of the questions just catch you out you know? lol but yeah im brushing up on the finer details and going to have another go Saturday. How many questions did you see being repeated on the 2nd go round?
@@cleverestx I did! More different questions than I expected though, only a few repeats but what really helped me was the performance based questions were the same except for one. Which saved me a bunch of time the second time round because I knew the answers. It gave me an extra 30 mins at the end to go through all the questions again! - trouble is, now I’ve forgot a lot of the content and I’ve not applied for any jobs in cybersecurity yet lol still getting more experience in standard IT job till next year.
I’m so sorry you failed man… I know how hard that exam can be. I’ve actually made a video about my preparation for CySa+ on my YT channel. I’m sure you’ll crush that exam next time! 🏆😊
been studying since the summer started and yes it is a hard exam, i have attempted many practice tests and i barely get 60-70% , sometimes i get lucky and get 80% 😭
Tthanks for candour Day. Its amazing how transparent and down to earth you are. Sharing your experience of a falied attempt after many successes is very humbling and that will help those who are struggling with some challenges in their journey to success. Your sincerity is very helpful. Thanks
When I tell you that God pulled me through this exam, I had just taken my Sec+ and took CySA 23 days after. I was sick for months, I did attend my classes but I didn't study however my prof made us summarize every chapter of the CompTIA book. He also made us take the exam for our finals, paid for by the school plus we got $300 when we passed. During the exam I was ripping my hair out, I was nervous on top of being sick I was sure I was going to end up in the hospital. Mind you I didn't study, but I was concerned because I wanted to maintain my A and I was satisfied with passing Sec+. When I saw that PASS, I shot out my chair and left the room I thought they were going to take my grade away for moving from the camera. Man I went crazy, I was shaking and crying while some stranger watched me lol fun times! Congrats Day!!!!!!!!
@@Jupiterxice what study material are you using? Are you using any of the Boson practice exams? They’re harder than the exam questions, but the explanations will prepare you for that exam, more than anything else. Plus, it will also tell you your weak areas, so that you can focus on improving in those areas. You got it! Just lock in!
Just took it today n barely passed 753 but in my opinion I don’t really like Jason dion’s course he’s pretty boring , mike Chapelle course LinkedIn learning better
