This isn't so bad, you just need to get one of several possible tools into your build to deal with this, and learn how to quickly get a backstab during the casting animation. A lot of people complain about TWOP, but the fact is if you see the animation you can either run away fast enough that it will be over by the time he catches up, or if you are too close you can just go in and get a backstab or kick him out of it.

When it came out, i would wait at the Oolacile Township bonfire, stay a little behind the spawnpoint and time any of the Firestorm Spells perfectly, spawn killing Invaders and if they somehow still live finish them off with Black Flame spam or Quelaag's Fury Sword R1 Spam.
I already reloaded this save file and respecced to a melee build. I said at the start, I'm gonna try all the stuff that is not in other souls games. Broken bead+twop is off the bucket list, still have to try some karmi justice shenanigans and maybe wog spam. It's not like I'm going around using the new tumblebuff glitch to one shot people with stone gs, you'll have time to complain about serious things very soon when someone that doesn't care releases it.
twop in general is easily considered one of the best spells in the game vs anyone who doesn't have a high magic defence shield handy lol. I have one literally just for this situation. Crest shield useful.

I played all the dark souls in reverse order lol and can honestly say everyone defending Ds1 pvp is looking through nostalgia tinted glasses. I love the single player but the pvp is the worst imo. I mean the meta revolves around backstabs, infinite stun locks you can't escape unless you use a glitch (toggle escapes) lol and this bullshit with twop etc. And the lag is the worst so far with teleporting vacuum stabs. I'm just really hoping more people think like this a return to Ds3 but I doubt that's gonna happen. Don't hate just dropping some truth bombs from an unbiased perspective. Love your vids tho if you bother to read this crap 10/10.

Besides the netcode part(at least from my experience), it's extremely solid and way less laggy than even ds3, the sucki-in vacuum backstabs are a problem only if you screw your roll/panic and I admit they look terrible, but almost never got them since I swapped from mid to fast roll. I'll release a ds3 video tomorrow and I'll try to keep the channel active on that side too(with at least one video/month), but of course 90% of the community is on the remastered now and this won't really change. At least E3 is behind the corner.

Would this work with great lightning spear or sunlight spear instead? I was thinking of making a petrus cosplay character since it could possibly make lightning miracles viable which aren't normally possible to hit due to how long the charge time is and the fact they can be evaded by walking to the side rather than dodging.
Henrizz could still do mid level invasions at anor londo, wouldn't be too hard to have 50 faith and 14-16 attunement and 18-20 vit and 15-18 end if I leave strength and dex at base level and use morning star/mace

Latency makes it even worse. Had my sheild up against dark bead. It hit me took the stamina. And as soon as i unshield it appearently hits me again because of lag. Definitely overpowered
Twop is my favorite miracle for pvp. No one knows what it is and they don't know how to deal with it.
How does dark magic scale in ds1?, it also sacales with faith?
Scales with intelligence and can scale with physical stats depending from the catalyst you're using
