25:31 Andy mentioned this in the Seath video, randomizer has some hard coded exceptions that don't get replaced and Nito skeletons are one of them.
I thought as much, I assume it’s to help the game from crashing or another big brain solution🤔🤔
that would make 6 manus spawn inside Nito arena. would have made the whole thing impossible imo.
We killed 7 manus in a small area in sens fortress, so I think it would def be possible, just very difficult

I think the reason why Manus spawned in the Bed of Chaos arena while the Bed of Chaos was still there was that the actual boss is that bug thing you have to kill inside the boss and Manus may have only replaced that bug instead of the whole thing.

I like how this run mirrors ChallengerAndy's all Gwyn run.
Gwyn is a god, but more importantly he represents the light.
Manus was a human, and he represents the darkness.

I thought this challenge would be easier due to the amount of souls you get but then I remembered what boss it is. Also this is a great video I was shocked to see how few subs you had

The manus that jumped over in firelink shrine did not kill the fire keeper. When you picked up the fire keeper soul or down blightown enough, lautrec will escape his prison and kill her.
Hmm i see, but I’m not sure if I went down to blighttown yet, there was a health bar down that and something got blasted but I could be wrong

thanks to the all seath video the reason the skeletons in nito aren't changed is actually because of a hardcoded exception, meaning you *could've* had gank central there if you edited the randomizer script

He is indeed a very well designed boss, and his arena and magic attacks are very interesting to fight with the charm, so I would have to agree with you
27:00 You actually didn’t have to do that. There are walkways leading to above the area with the chest, and you can just fall down without having to kill any manuses
I had no idea, that would have saved a lot of worry I had during that section😂😂😂
Also, for some reason, if you sit at the bonfire while standing outside the cell, you can actually warp normally.
That could have saved us if we ended up vetted stranded

I remember not even realizing manus was the final boss of the DLC because I killed them first try with my mage character. It felt so underwhelming because I wiped the floor with them. Crystal soul spear will do that to ya.

The reason the four manuses was invisible is because in the four kings fight there is an invisible one that spawns the health bar and then the kings you fight are enemies that share the invisible kings health bar
That makes sense, would also explain the lack of spawns immediately
@@surgesouls a similar mechanic is used in the deacons of the deep the arch deacon is hidden in the structure in the center of the boss room and he is teleported out when the second phase begins

You can’t level up in ds1 until you leave the asylum, when that bird grabs you, so the first manus was mandatory first

I could be wrong but I’m pretty sure the firekeeper at firelink can never die through normal means. The only way for her to die is for Lautrec to kill her, which happens either after ringing both bells OR grabbing the fire keeper souls in undead parish and blighttown. Since you mentioned grabbing the three available fire keeper souls and didn’t mention killing lautrec early, which is the only way to stop him from killing the fire keeper, I’m pretty sure he actually killed her and the Manus being down there was just a coincidence.
