    I can't even imagine the minimalist logistics of the final roach fight

    That cage really trivializes the Gerudo Town fight.

    That was an incredibly inventive way to get around what I would have assumed was a serious "ok we need more arrows" moment! Well done!

    I love the cage idea! When I first did the gerudo town quest Riju died on me because I foolishly assumed her guards would...idk... Do their job and protect her. I wish I had thought to put her in a cage smh

    You don't need to worry about Riju in fights after the Gerudo Town defense. Once she's got the "blue aura", she's the same as any other Sage.

    Progress has still been made and massive mission accomplished. Love the title and pointing out the inaccuracy. Entertaining as always. You could probably use a flame emitter for the queen gibdo fight and strap it onto the ESWI. Mineru's shield might actually do something then.

    The cage was so cool! And thank you for the shout out!
    From my experience, the lighting temple boss is rather easy if you are patient, have familiarized yourself with all attacks (run away from the laser and the body slam attack!) and defeated the small gibdos together with the nests. You can practice the fight in the depths on an alt save. In my case, I used Yunobo's attack which is elemental and long distance. Sadly, I don't think there is a reason to finish the fire temple in the minimalist 100% run, but Mineru and your spear should also work well.

    Queen Gibdo outside is rough, but Queen Gibdo INSIDE is a living nightmare. I assume Mineru's cannons will be used heavily, but good luck with the whirlwinds.

    Now I want to see a Boko-Link mask run interacting with NPC's piggy grunts and all. lol
    It can be like an unofficial sequel to Monster Maze's "Life as a Bokoblin" ""Zelda Documentary"".
    Grats on getting a cage down to the desert and making an epic cannon seal statue! XDD
    I can't think of anything that might help with the Gibdo Queen boss right now other than Ultrahanding a flamethrower but I'm sure you can do it!
    I get the feeling each Minimalist Run hurdle you overcome is going to be a series of "out of the frying pan, into the fire".

    To blow up the temple entrance's magic pimple perhaps you need to activate Riju's ability and put it into the electric field, then shoot it with the cannon.
    I remember during the queen fight in the depths not being able to shoot the hives until they were engulfed into the field.

    Random thing I noticed- why the hell does the town whose sage specialises in electrifying arrows (and who have their own golden bow) not have a SINGLE archer in their grand army (of 7 people?) Honestly someone with a bow would probably do more damage to the Gibdos than that cannon they have...

    • @psuedonym9999

      Well if I remember right, the lightning arrow technique was sort of an improvised technique on the part of Riju, using the arrow as a guide for targeting her lightning.

    • @sammer1097
      @sammer1097 3 месяца назад +6

      Electrifying arrows is not a specialty of Riju's, it's something she came up with on the spot when reuniting with Link, so there was no reason for the Gerudo to be prepared to make use of the power. That said, it absolutely _is_ still weird that they have no archers, especially since they make their own bows.

      @@sammer1097I think the "0 Gerudo Archers" thing was the main idea, not just that it would be helpful for Riju

      The Law of Conversation of Deatail (TV Tropes). We're probably supposed to assume there are more members of the Gerudo army, but it wouldn't be practical from a game design perspective to add a ton more characters.

      But an in-game explanation would have been so easy ... something like:
      * The archers are scouting the desert at the moment, since they're the only ones who can defeat Gibdos from afar. As the new Gibdo hives are already at the gates of Gerudo Town, calling back the archers "now" would take too long.
      * All bows in the desert were corrupted by the Malice/Gloom, just like blades and spears and the like in the rest of Hyrule (Gerudo Bows are one of the few "manmade" bows made of metal. Most others are either wooden/construct type or belong to enemy types like Lynels and Lizals, and Ganon had no reason to corrupt those). They didn't yet have the means to import or create replacements
      * They did have some archers left but all of them got hurt during the fight at Kara Kara Bazaar (or some other random brawl that Link didn't even participate in)
      Just some examples.

    if you had 5 arrows, spent 1 at Zora's domain and spent 2 getting inside the temple, how will you hit all the lightning points inside the temple? or did you get more arrows at some point since then?

    • @WolfLink_justlookingfordragon
      @WolfLink_justlookingfordragon  2 месяца назад

      Not yet, but I will have to get more for the temple eventually. I've already tried all sorts of stuff in an alternate run, but the puzzles seem to ONLY work with arrows, and you can't pick them up again afterwards.
