      EDIT: I was wrong. I just compared it to another playthrough and her "low" route is WAY below the mountaintop, while her "high" route is just barely above Death Mountain, so pretty low in general. I accidentally thought it was the low route for that reason. My bad!
      -The Spanish playthrough is a no-glider run, and when I saw her gliding VERY low near Death Mountain, I seized my chance to grab the sword early. I haven't been to the Lost Woods yet in that run, so it can be neither the quest (don't have it) nor the sword itself (otherwise she wouldn't have been low before I got the sword).-

    I was struck with a bit of a eureka while unable to sleep today, on this very problem of yours.
    You're thinking about this problem wrong. Instead of trying to wait for rubble to fall in the perfect... *make your own 'rubble'.*
    What I mean is... Get something as high as you possibly can and then *launch it downwards* at the highest velocity you can manage. THEN, you can use ANOTHER contraption at the BOTTOM when it hits the ground and *recall* the first machine in order to fling yourself sky high with the FAR higher momentum, possibly enough to reach this stupid island with your sled-carrying apparatus.
    To facilitate this, you could find a star fragment (they're somewhat predictable in this game) or get a Dragon part, and then fuse it to a contraption to give it an incredibly large despawn radius. (so it will still be waiting for you at the bottom) This should also make it less agonizing to transport since it won't despawn as easily if you get too far
    Something else which I believe will be incredibly helpful for you regards the sword you picked up in Part 26. If you fuse a Hoverstone (world object) to a weapon, and then THROW that weapon, the stone instantly pops off the weapon and appears in-world immediately activated. This requires no durability (to my knowledge?) and since it takes the world object of a hoverstone, shouldn't unlock its description either. This will allow you to have one on hand at any time you could possibly need one, and I'm sure you can think of plenty of uses where that would be very nice to have. I'm not sure if you'd consider that "using" the sword or not... It doesn't use any durability and it isn't dealing any damage, but it is using it like a utility item that I suppose you don't *technically* need... But I figured I'd throw the idea out there for you nonetheless. If the spear you have wasn't essential to keeping you alive in half the map I'd say you could use it instead, but there's not exactly a lot of cause to switch its use case considering that...

    At the beginning the light dragon flies very high. After defeating the boss fight in korok forest, the light dragon descends and stays at this height for the rest of the game (so that it's easier to reach). So the light dragon doesn't alternate between the high and low cycle at all.

      EDIT: I was wrong. It was indeed the "high" route, but she's just generally pretty low near Death Mountain.
      In the Spanish playthrough I haven't been to the Lost Woods yet, so I don't have that quest ... -and the only reason I have the sword is because(!) I caught her flying low once near Death Mountain and was able to reach her early. By that logic, she should not yet have been flying low, no?-

      @@WolfLink_justlookingfordragon Im very confused. Maybe you're playing on a different version (I play on 1.1.0) or you're confusing different playthroughs but when I did my master sword challenge (i.e. master sword is the only allowed item in the inventory besides absolutely mandatory ones) I had big troubles reaching the light dragon because it flew so high (above 2000m). The internet told me that finding all geoglyphs should make the dragon fly lower, but it did not.
      To reach the light dragon, I took two big floating platforms on the Great Sky Island and made my way up very slowly by moving them with Ultra Hand. But even after getting the Master Sword, the light dragon was still very high up. Only after defeating the boss in Korok Forest (using only the master sword in my case) and getting to the point where you would normally receive the tracker for the master sword, the light dragon finally flew lower.

      Ohhkay, I just checked again, and I have to take back what I said ... my bad. I thought she was flying the "low" route because she was just barely above the montaintop (reachable with a single battery) but I've compared it to a different playthrough now in which I have completed the quest, and she's flying WAY below the mountaintop then ... that's what I get for not fact-checking properly, lol. I'll have to put that into an errata section next week.
      Thanks for letting me know ;)
      (The bad thing is that this means I won't be able to board her during a "low" route in the challenge run either way ....dang.)

    • @SeeTv.
      @SeeTv. 7 месяцев назад +4

      @@WolfLink_justlookingfordragon Nice, thanks for checking that!
      But I think that you will be able to board the light dragon when it flies low, because you HAVE TO defeat the boss in Korok forest in order to reach three shrines in the lost woods. Before that the shrines are unreachable because of the extreme fog.
      Defeating this boss will be very tricky because the only way into the forest is via ascend which means that you can't bring anything with ultrahand. The only option besides Mineru (frost emitters on the arms will be good I think) that comes to mind is attaching a dragon part to zonai devices (so that they don't despawn) and dropping them from the sky down into the korok forest. Then you should be able to get them if you ascend from the depths.

      The problem is, once she does fly the low route, she's staying that way - right? So I would be able to board her, but end up underneath the sky island later instead of above it. ^^°
      Maybe I can board her near Death Mountain while she's still flying the high route. Tarrey Town is close by, lots of batteries and fans and IIRC some rockets as well. It just needs to be enough to land a sled on her head.

    I don't know if the weight differences make this not feasable, but I was able to use recall to stall my machine in the air while I waited for my battery to recharge during an exploration of Akkala sky. It takes multiple recalls per stall, in short 1-3 second bursts so you don't tip to much on the drops. As long as you're already controlling the steering stick when you release recall, you won't lose as much height in the transition and it'll be a net gain. Of course, I had more battery to give me leeway but I think it would still work with just the default.

      Is it a "piggyback" guide book? Because they also published the "Complete Official Guide" for Breath of the Wild, and that book had SO many blatant errors in it, that it even contradicted itself from one chapter to the next.
      Examples: They had a multiple pages long list of weapon bonuses that don't exist, urged the player to upgrade un-upgradable armor (like the Dark Link Set) to unlock bonuses that were already unlocked by default, they claimed that the LotM had max stats (he's actually "just" a 1-3-5 horse-type creature, not 5-5-5), claimed that the Royal White Stallion is the fastest horse in the game despite him having the second worst possible speed stat of all registerable mounts, they claimed that the Blood Moon happened every full moon and that it respawned literally everything (ore deposits and the like) ... it's almost funny how incredibly bad that book is, especially when you consider the name.
      It's a collector's item with neat art, but should never be used AS a guide.

    if you still havent finished this one yet (I say this because I just started the video) I'd suggest bringing up 3 raw meat and letting them freeze. They'll create a frictionless surface, and you can put a fan and steering stick on them for maneuverability (the reason I suggest 3 raw meat is for balancing purposes, and it's probably lighter than the sled, so easier to get up, at least a little bit)

  • @rebeggo358
    @rebeggo358 7 месяцев назад +2

    your first method with fans should definitely work if you use recall spamming to let your battery recharge. once your battery runs out, fall a short distance (not enough to fall off the vehicle), use recall to get to your max height, cancel, and repeat until your battery is full. if the weight is causing you to lose height while active, cancel recall after you activate it (full battery of course.) if I remember you've tried this method a long time ago (with a hoverbike maybe?) with no success, but with a flat vehicle like yours, it shouldn't be too difficult, assuming you're only using fans, a steering stick, and sled. this method would take a pretty long time with only one battery but at least it's achievable and should honestly be much easier than a hoverbike. hope next week goes better for you 🙏

    Couldn't you just take a dragon scale (Don't pick it up) and attach it to the sled where you'd end up needing at after the fall? The scale would make the despawn radius much larger, so you could activate the race and then just drop down for the slope. I'm not sure if it would work cause I haven't played the game in a while, but it seems plausible.
    Edit: Forgot about arrows to get the scale.
