This is my favourite Eurovision song EVER, it was well-before it’s time and resonates more strongly now than ever. Genius lyrics, it’s just a shame they didn’t shine on the night, for whatever reason because Cathy is one of Irelands most talented singers… I love it, I still play it a lot and sometimes it makes me cry 🇮🇪
Although it's actually a very good song, folk at Eurovision was never really going to work tbh. It's a shame, as well, that Cathy's amazing voice didn't come across so well on the night.
Why do u think it's never gonna work when it's literally the best musical genre in the universe your words are hella depressing and would say a lot about Eurovision if true I would love more countries to send such music to Eurovision bcs the contest lacks it really much!!!
This song was so underrated. I voted for it and could'nt belive my eyes when I saw it was placed last in ESC. Shame on you Europe! =) Cheers from Sweden
I can. It was completely off key the entire time in the final. I was horrified and so disappointed, because it's such a sweet song, and I love Dervish. But they utterly botched it.
its because everyone who votes on eurovision hates the political message of the song they adapted it to ireland about the nonstop young violent male migrant invasion currently conquering ireland
I would like to thank you very much for the Celtic Whispers. While listening to this, I have the feeling like I watch myself from the ceiling, like loosing weight, I don't know.. sounds funny, but it is true. :D Thank you very much. :)
@dangubaable If this made you cry I have no idea what Celtic Whispers will make you feel like. Listen to Celtic Whispers' songs Mistaken, Hills of Shiloh, Haunted Kenban... Pure gold.
Nope. I LOVE Dervish, and I enjoy this song. But they utterly botched their performance of it in the final. So off key I still have nightmares about it.
this song is brilliant but the sound on the actual night was so bad and it keeps happening in 2023. Wild Youth are brilliant on the radio and on tv but the sound at the eurovision was bad again
Must be the best song that ever came last.
One EU elite hates the fact they can't stop the spring.
One of the best... in my opinion, Kabat from the same year and also Melanie Rene from 2015 contest are the best songs that came last.

One of my favourite Eurovision songs ever
me too! also I commented 9 years later to bring you back here, you're welcome
The best Irish Eurovision entry of XXI century!!!
It was partly due to their poor performance on the actual night, I believe. But the song is pure gold! =)
One must love the references to Prague Spring of 1968.

@@voloshanca I agree, folk is my favourite musical genre. But it doesn't have the widespread appeal needed for success at Eurovision.
Favourite Eurovision song ever. Shame the performance weren't the best but the song still #1 for me.
This should be the song for this year. Rock on Cathy Jordan!
my god, one the most beautiful songs I have ever heard... makes me cry every time. :)
Aye ye cannae stop the spring like.

I really like the song, and am a fan of Dervish, but even I couldn't bring myself to vote for something so out of tune.
Beautiful song.
I can't believe this song ranked the last of Eurovision Song Contest 2007!!!
I can. It was completely off key the entire time in the final. I was horrified and so disappointed, because it's such a sweet song, and I love Dervish. But they utterly botched it.
@@Redstomp I completely agree with you. Such a Good song. But a worthless performace :/
It was today that I discovered this song ranked very last in Eurovision. I can't come to terms with that.
its because everyone who votes on eurovision hates the political message of the song they adapted it to ireland about the nonstop young violent male migrant invasion currently conquering ireland

Non è andata bene, ma voi siete grandi! A me la canzone piacque molto. Bravi! Dall'Italia.
i loveee itttt !!! congratulationssss, i like this songg so much

It's about Praga's Spring in 1968
Wonderful song :)
It feels to me like Esc viewers have more and more a bad taste

I liked it ! lol :)
Imagine Agneta and Frida singing this song. A great song but needed a different voice to Cathy’s to make it work.

You should really look at the performance. Also they edited the song awkwardly.
such an amazing song! too bad the live performance was not good at all:(
never read it, I watched the movie the night before I made my gmail account. :D
Sounds like a folky Dido
Though Charlotte Brontë wrote Jane Eyre well, I didn't care for the story :P
:P lol
