Very nice video, I'm surprised you didn't use color cast removal for background color (pixel selection, fill layer, divide). Anyway, I wonder if your process can be modified for when a scanned in document needs to be OCR'd and translated. I will try to apply some of your techniques, as what I describe is a very practical work flow that often arises. I am in the process of translating a poorly scanned book written in Czech to English. Thanks - Pedro
Thank you! You are completely right, the fill with divide would work but it will also affect the artwork/lines (make them a bit thinner) as these probably also contain some colorspill (especially in the "gray"/transition pixel). Using the curves and only modifying the highlights as demonstrated, generates imho a better result (thicker lines) I think the techniques here should work on OCR too. It has been a while since i OCR'd a scan :)
@@Graphicalfinity I will play with both methods, as it seems the OCR engine gets confused with artifacts - maybe combinations of both methods will provide better source for OCR
Thank you so much! This is the most comprehensive guide I've ever found, and I appreciated the alternatives!
Excellent ! .... Excellent ! .... Excellent ! .... Excellent ! .... Excellent ! ....
Many thanks!
Thank you so much for presenting these alternative ways of achieving a great result.
You are so welcome! Thank you too.
Six and a half minutes packed with lots of interesting information. I love it !
Awesome, thank you!
Exaaaaactly what I was looking for! Perfect thank you
Great to hear!
Nice!
Thank you! Cheers!

If i have some time, next month, i'll will try to do a tutorial
