I saw a new E Class this morning on the freeway. Couldn't tell if it was a C Class or CLA or S Class until I saw the rear badge. They all look the same nowadays, just pick your size.
The cla is fat and round, you can tell if it is a c or a e by the front grills or if you look really close you will see the e class rear doors are larger and the s class has a huge front grill, a chrome line in the back and the rear doors are just as big as the front ones...
I absolutely love my 2018 Mercedes Benz E300! It turns heads, its a thrill to drive and I feel safe on the road with! I have owned more than a few of the German 3 (Audi A4 & A6, BMW 3, 5 & 7 series, Mercedes e320) and by far, my E300 is my favorite. I know this video was done years ago, but I enjoyed it!
Sick are you in England? I am so stuck between the C300 and E300 I can’t decide 😂😂🤦🏽♂️ I learnt and passed in a C300 but the extra inside space and luxury of the E class is pulling me towards it what’s E class like maintenance wise has it been money heavy or ok this past year?

S90, 5 series and E-class are really nice, Lexus GS, Caddy CTS not sold in Europe, A6 and XF look weird and the Infiniti can't match the already mentioned. I would take the Merc but if you asked me again tomorrow I might just say S90 ;)
I've been driving Merc's for 30 years...started out with a 210 then got a 211..currently driving a 212 wagon.they say "once you drive a merc it's hard to go back"...there is some substance to that saying. One thing I can say about driving Merced for almost 30 years is that every new model is a considerable improvement to the outgoing model.I remember when stepping into a 211 after driving a 210,it felt like such an improvement in luxury...so I'm sure the 213 will surely impress me...it truly is the "ULTIMATE DRIVING MACHINE"
Because it's got soul and this E class had too many gears. Furthermore the Jag differs more from its brother XE and it's got growly engines which pack power. It's a better drifter and overall more fun. Last but not least it looks tons better.

Trading in my 3 series and jumping to the E-Class. You just can't beat the comfort and interior with the Merc. Basically an S class interior. The ambient lighting looks so cool!
Finally someone mentioned those fake exhaust tips, It really baffles me why they went through more trouble to make them fake than just have the pipes go through them.
E220dA 4M or S90 D5 AWD? Interior, engine, practicality? You get a fully spec'd S90 with a stronger engine for the same price like E220d with few options.
I don't know why but I prefer the C-Class because of its interior. The E-Class interior is too "digital" and "modern", it has lost its character. I really dislike digital speedos. Some things should be still analogous, it just looks classier, it fits better to a Mercedes. I know you don't have to buy it but everytime I see the new E with analogue speedo, I feel like they designed it extra ugly and cheap so the people pay for the Widescreen-Cockpit. Additionally I don't like that black piano trim, which is plastic. And you can't have anything different, not as in the C-Class.
No its not bad as it is optimised to not affect you. We own one of these and I love it so much. The tech enhances your experience and there are quite a few toys to play with.
you can have difference trim from the black piano, and the new C class will have the option to get same screen - this will be an option for every Mercedes in the future, with the A class being launched within the next 5-6 months.
Ive always thought of the big 3 Germans the same. Mercedes does luxury the best, BMW has the best driving dynamics by far, and audi is a bit of a middle ground- decent to okay at both.
Avi Savant They would still be using similar cars. Taxis aren't all cheap Camrys. That being said, even in Australia, the average middle class car is now the compact luxury cars 3er, C-class, A4 etc
I was given the WOW factor when this car was announced. But when the price got announced, it made a huge blow to me because I thought I could pick one up for 50k... maybe used in 3 years when leases end kek.

To be honest... I don't like it! If I was on the market could easily safe my money and take the C-class. It has completely the same look but much better proportions. It has better interior - as freshklinki93 said below the analogue gages are much better looking. And with small invest in air suspension will get the split between comfort and sport very well. And who the hell need this autonomous driving features? (not even to mention that modern cars, with this level of electronic in it will be complete nightmare and total shit as second hand car and the depreciations will be enormous!).
As 1,87 cm tall didn't find it that spacious, tho driving position and front cabin together is perfect. Your interior spec was gorgeous! I'd still probably take the 5er

i am sorry but got to disagree about the command system and BMW I drive there Mercedes is much easier to use on the go and it's more precise, when you talk about the entry level sat nav again compared to the entry level BMW system Mercedes is just as good, it always seems to me once one car person has said something not as good you all tend to follow well I live with the car for more than a week or two and that when you find out if something is better or not. BMW nor Audi come close to the Mercedes for fit finish and overall feel of quality and sadly Jaguar are years behind when it come to interior quality.
I completely agree with you, I also think the Mercedes system is much better. The Audi system is so weird and unintuitive. One of my friends got an SQ7, we spend at least 3 hours to set the whole car up, connecting phone and so on.
It is high time these so called, luxury car companies, started concentrating on getting the basics right. They could start with an in-car audio system!
Boyan Marinov Doesn't matter. That shiny black plastic trim is there no matter what wood trim you get. The wood trim is only on the upper dash area and doors.
E-class best interior and comfort - 5 series most fun to drive - S90 falls in between. So maybe S90 is best allround, while E-class definitley has nicer interior. Personally I like the mercedes :D
"The best car in the back seats in this class". I really don't understand how the space it's not roomy enough when taking into consideration the size of the car. Specially in the middle seat. I took a taxi and I could barely put my feet under the front seat. And it seems it's the same with 5 Series and A6. I'm not surprised people are changing to the urban SUVs.
Merc should use the old E class model without a facelift for taxis and keep it that way, its luxurious enough . Like the London taxi example. Or at least change it with this new one in 7 years when the newer model comes out.
Mercedes Benz E Class is legendary reliable. That's why they are used as taxis in Germany. You also see some Volkswagen and selten Opel Insignia and Toyota as Taxis here. Almost none BMW or Audi is used as Taxi in Germany though. I suppose because of the lower reliability. Also Mercedes produce special E Class models as Taxis, as far as I know. There is however no visible difference to the regular non Taxi version that you can tell.
The Mercedes Benz E Klasse is the best full size sedan of the 2010's. It is way better than the super competitive and athletic Audi A6, the athletic BMW 5 Series, the Yankee Lincoln MKZ, or the negro Cadillac XTS. Its design is pure and efficient. This is the ideal full size luxurious car.
You mention smartphone ability but I can't find anything that supposedly does this? Mercedes own app at around 50 euros per annum only works in Europe. Any information on what app you are using? We have on order the 2017 E300 so I'm hoping these apps might work?
I never get why reviews say 5 series handle better, with AMG package, it's just as fun and will easily handle as good as ANY 5 series, before I got an older s class I had 2012 e class and of course driven the 5 series before buying that and I don't understand how people say they drive better, the quality is nasty! I know many who made Mercedes to BMW change and regret it, you won't get bored driving a Mercedes but a 5 series is good for the first month, that's the difference

The shiny black trim in the middle of the dash scratches so easily. Mine is scratched to death already. 3 weeks of ownership
should have gone for the black unpolished wood, but that's not exactly cheap

I had one, but the front seat used to dig into my thigh as it was too hard and narrow, so after a couple of hours I was wiggling trying to ease pain.
