Family was in ruin because of restaurant's revenue losses, and dealing with people is a big part of chef's job, he dealt with them and restaurant, it lead to them fixing themselves too

@@universesays1842 1) 20% success rate of other peoples’ restaurants in addition to his own is pretty incredible. 2) Some of those “failures” were the owners retiring, selling the restaurants, shutting down to move on to something else, etc. Not all of them actually failed. 3) He can only fix what he can fix, if a manager/owner is too stuck in their ways, Gordon can’t exactly be held responsible if they go back to how they were after he leaves.
In that perspective, if true, a 20% success rate over a number of years of restaurants he only visited for a week is pretty damned impressive.

Chef Ramsay, despite how he comes across, is a man of great compassion and has a big heart. He is just relentless and efficient in tearing down delusions in people's minds that keep from from achieving what will truly make them happy.

Something I've noticed after watching bar rescue and gordon ramsay's shows is that due to a lot of these restaurants being family run, a lot of the issues in the restaurants stem from a breakdown in the relationship of the family itself. So they end up being psychologists and fixing the disorder in the family which in turn allows them to address the actual business which they are technically experts in.
