I'm pretty sure Netgalley has an option to mark a book as 'will not review' or something like that which just removes it from your list entirely (and I think means it doesnt affect your ratio anymore?). Also on Goodreads you can create an exclusive shelf and call it DNF, and then move books to that, so they don't show up in your Want to Read anymore, without you having to mark it as Read. You can create the shelf on Goodreads website (not the app) and then in the settings make it 'exclusive'
Max!! You’re brilliant. I always thought “I will not be providing feedback” dinged you in some way. Maybe I’ll try it! And I had not heard of that on Goodreads- will give that a shot too. Thanks!
Definitely didn't realize that author's receive netgalley reviews! If I need to dnf on netgalley, I give it a 1⭐ then write why I was initially interested in the title and then why I dnfed.
On my laptop, I always order by publication date to know what 's coming up next, which works for me because I don't have nearly as many as you! But I echo your wish that it would let you filter out by month and year so that was all you saw on screen. I'm looking forward to everyone's feedback on what they're reading off of their NetGalley!
I really want to read the Hitchcock hotel! Can’t wait to hear your thoughts! 💕💕
Sky Full of Elephants was really good and My Darlings was 5 stars for me!😊😊
@@nic_readsbooks yay!! Awesome to hear

@@daffodilbookshelf628 I think that makes sense. I’m going to investigate the author thing further

JAYNE I DID NOT KNOW YOU COULD CLICK ON IT TO FILTER on the laptop!!! Heck yeah!! Thank you
@@tbretc Oh yay!! I still want a true "don't show me anything but July 2024" option though! "We have the technology" for that!
@@jaynehunter-aryes!! Agree with you there
Is the favorites by Layne Fargo on your list? It’s a 2025 release and looks good
Yes! I read a few pages and can tell it’s going to be good
….if authors get emails when I put my reviews in years later, I’m toast 😂
Right!!! I need to look into this!! 😂
