Mr. Librarian, I need you to know I was only half focused when 1:48:20 finally happened and I nearly threw my headphones. It was possibly the best scare of my life, and I'm laughing like an idiot because I dared question your choice in games. For the whole HOUR I watched this I was like "this is great ambience, but its not really scary or horror" Then The Cave-Dwelling Rake appears for a split-second and your screaming and I flail like an idiot, truly remarkable editing work. Well done, you really got me! :D Started watching for your from the fog series I stumbled on at random on a creepypasta binge, and have been an active watcher since, bravo, good sir, keep up the amazing work.
2:13:00 Little did they know that there were two people working at this base, just missing each other by happenstance. One sees the other on the radar, one scrounges for mushrooms and the other wonders why their burgers and MREs keep vanishing around the base.
I've been watching Vargskelethor Joel play through this game for quite a while now, and I gotta say it's fun to see how different your playstyles are. Joel frantically runs around doing funny bits and his base is a total mess with stuff all over the floor. Meanwhile you go at a slow pace, taking in the atmosphere and keeping everything tidy. Looking forward to seeing more VotD from you!
Another thing to mention is that it seems to try to like.. emulate the source engine? It'll do the node thing out of date message for no reason especially sense that's a source only thing.. Here are some tips for the ATV: let gravity do the work for you while riding down hills. Hitting the gas while you're going downhill will make you go slower and you'll waste precious fuel, and it's usually better to hit the brake toggles than going in reverse, which is slower.
YEEEESSSS, finally you're playing Voices of the Void again. I loved seeing your older videos of it. And don't bother about the episodes being "too long", we all love hearing you talk about random subjects for hours. And the vibe of this game is awesome. I love the concept of being alone in your workplace, specially at night. This would be my dream job, mainly because I would be able to stargaze all night just like I normally do. And being able to work in a place with such beautiful landscapes would be awesome because I love photography. I would spend so much time just going for walks and taking photos of the nature. This game is scary but at the same time it's comfy. Some might say it is creepy and comfy.
I think this game gives me jurassic park vibes. You see all these buildings and man made objects surrounded by the unknown. At any time, something can break, and you can't just fix it from one terminal. You have to take these back roads to get to fix things, and you realize there could be anything around you at any time. Lurking... maybe it lured you out from the safety of your base.

The resource economy does seem a bit tight, but it's clear that the mushrooms and burgers and such are meant to help sustain you as you get the main upgrades in place. Also, the Bernard's door of having a secret underground room right next to you is too good to make up, considering that between all your videos you've probably missed it dozens of times.

This is the perfect game for you to play. Long stretches of nothing for you to ramble, the creepy cozy vibe this game has, fun things for you to find, and you can play it for a long time and long is the perfect length… for your videos.
Finally got my sister interested in this game, so starting this series from the (almost) beginning yet again! It's weird how this feels so nostalgic after just under a year since I started watching this series.
This game would be amazing in VR, not for its technical abilities but for the immersion. Truly living that experience with your entire being, I hope there's a mod for it.
Was that a clip from a previous playthrough? He seems to go somewhere random, get attacked, and then he's back at base without so much as acknowledging what happened...
Horrifyingly still. This game gives me the kind of vibe of a horror movie as they're building up a jumpscare during monotonous nothingness. The busywork drags on a bit, but I honestly like the mindless repetition it endears you to. A job simulator where spooky, unsettling things CAN happen. But at the same time, the job that you do can bear fruit and satisfy your efforts in the smallest of ways that make it all rewarding and worth your time.. But the hunger mechanic shouldn't be there. Sleep, sure, that makes sense and adds to the idea of adhering to the schedule. The hunger just slows things down too much and gets in the way of the already-numerous things you have to take care of and manage I feel.
1:48:30 I love your voice, it's calm and soothing, lets me work nicely, but when I was fixing something and heard you screaming genuinely scared the crap out of me!!!! Keep up the good work
I'm SO glad you're playing this game, again. I don't have a lot of time to watch (very busy and long work schedule), but I enjoy your videos, and I enjoy this game. I can't wait for more of this series!
Voices of The Void is one of the few games I love watching, but unfortunately dislike playing, I probably need to get some buddies together in a VC and just chat to distract me from the monotony of the gameplay loop to get to the good stuff. Please play the 6.1 version of the game. It adds more mechanics and scares that im sure would improve the experience alot more
prolly the first time actually watching a whole hours long video. Your videoes are honestly really engaging and keeps my focus throughout the whole video.
I love how cozy the community here happened to be. It's really like all the people who love "creepy and comfy" content gathered here.
I love these videos! And You sound like a total sweetheart deserving of headpats 🥹🥹🥹🥹
jeez i love how much of hl1/2 sounds are used in this game.
This is the perfect game for you to play. Long stretches of nothing for you to ramble, the creepy cozy vibe this game has, fun things for you to find, and you can play it for a long time and long is the perfect length… for your videos.
Oh man, i've waited for this video for so long! Thank you, Librarian!
I like how sometimes the Librarian's calm voice just goes full Markiplier mode when he sees the Antibreather.
Must be one brutal exercise if going to the toilet increases your stamina
This game has you be scared of the cryptids in the forest while slowly turning you into one with each passing day as you start to lose your mind.
This is great! Pleaseeee with a cherry on top make this a series or atleast a pt2 or 3
This is genuinely my favorite thing you've ever done I love voices of the void so much! I hope you do more on this game! I'd come back every time!
Finally got my sister interested in this game, so starting this series from the (almost) beginning yet again! It's weird how this feels so nostalgic after just under a year since I started watching this series.
I'm constantly amazed that people can do math that quickly in their head. I can only fathom that power
This game would be amazing in VR, not for its technical abilities but for the immersion. Truly living that experience with your entire being, I hope there's a mod for it.
Oh God it would, horrifyingly so
VR mod is being made. Its unfinished but the guy making it posts short vids of it in the discord
@@ZeallustImmortal yo that's awesome! i don't have discord so i'll just check the steam community every now an again
@@blobtheblob7975 Theyve posted a couple clips on the subreddit as well
amzing! i love this game and all the secrets and little nuances that come with it, please continue the series!
its my birthday, and i love watching your videos! they are absolutely calming tbh, (without the jumpscares lol)
Happy birthday, from the internet!
🌻 ☺️🎂 🎉
We 👏need 👏more 👏of 👏this 👏
In all seriousness, it's such a mood ngl, so scary too at times
I've been waiting for this for so long. I always thought this would be a perfect game for your video style if you could take your time
love how he just hard cuts away from being assaulted by the antibreather
It was on his previous video, Here it was a "flashback"
1:48:30 absolutely gave me a heart attack holy crap
Was that a clip from a previous playthrough? He seems to go somewhere random, get attacked, and then he's back at base without so much as acknowledging what happened...
@@DeusExNihilum I know it's weird lmao, I don't think it's from a previous playthrough.
@@vodyanoy2I think it is because it happens right after him talking about what happened in the last play through.
@@jamiebare9970 Maybe it is, I'll have to watch it again
@@jamiebare9970Yeah now that I watch it again I think it is from the last time.
No freaking way he's playing this game... calling it now, this is going to be one of the best series on his channel.
I absolutely love this channel. its always a breath of fresh air from the usual madness of youtube
The way my head shot up when you said EXO planet 😅 I was so invested in my project that it snapped my attention right back to my background noise
This is genuinely the most enjoyable thing I've watched so far, didn't want the episode to end lol. Please continue :)
How did I not even notice this was posted this is the greatest game for Librarian to play
1:48:30 I love your voice, it's calm and soothing, lets me work nicely, but when I was fixing something and heard you screaming genuinely scared the crap out of me!!!!
Keep up the good work
You can think people are over reacting when something happens but when you actually play the games yourself... Holy damn
I'm SO glad you're playing this game, again. I don't have a lot of time to watch (very busy and long work schedule), but I enjoy your videos, and I enjoy this game. I can't wait for more of this series!
So glad that more people are playing this amazing game
Voices of The Void is one of the few games I love watching, but unfortunately dislike playing, I probably need to get some buddies together in a VC and just chat to distract me from the monotony of the gameplay loop to get to the good stuff. Anyways, very glad you're trying it out! Hope to see more.
