There is a large population of people who care and I believe I am fairly young. Whatever you have quoted at the beginning is right but at the end I don't agree with it.
If there was one reason needed to convince that a product like this, needed a product review format like Motorinc First, this is it. You can ride and ride the bike all day long, but once you saddle off, you sit and talk and get into the weed of things of why something just works. Great work guys. On bajaj freedom, mighty impressive to have such a disruptive product, and getting so much right in the first try. This has the potential to change the commuter segment, design of bikes, fueling infrastructure, and Bajaj's reputation. And this is going to go abroad, bring in engineering accolades as well.
Love how Bajaj is making quality and style accessible through the Freedom. It is not giving the user in mind a bare minimum package. Instead it is giving the customer the best thing possible at the price. As always an insightful and wonderful episode from MotorInc. The best way to have spent my lunch break. Also, a question that might be a bit stupid and could be answered through a Google search. But here goes. Aren't ABS-fitted brakes mandatory? I have always noticed how MotorInc has batted for universal ABS and has called the lack of such a system, a deal breaker while considering a vehicle. Does the combi brake in the Freedom, deliver similar braking performance? Thank you and have a nice day!
@@arjunkovoor9488 Hi. The government, as per usual, didn't quite write the rule well enough/diluted it deliberately. Hence, CBS is enough for regulatory compliance. And no, ABS (even pretty basic) is far superior to CBS. CBS merely ensures that beyond a certain threshold, the front brakes will start to also be applied along with the rear brake giving you a better chance of not fishtailing. But you can easily, and absolutely will still lock-up your wheels with CBS. Even front-only ABS is better than that. And absolutely nothing like ABS front and rear. As the good folks at Motor Inc rightly hammer it home, it is a must-have (the irony of me waiting for an ABS-less Ather as I type this is something I'll try not to think about).
Apart from what Mudit said (thanks Mudit!), ABS is mandatory for 125cc and above, the Freedom is 124.XXcc. There’s also a flaw that doesn’t specify that ABS must be on all wheels 😳
@@motorinc Didn't know that part. No wonder almost all scooters get away with CBS! Always learn something relevant with you guys 😀 Edit: Off-topic, but when is the Guerrilla 450 first ride video coming out?
Had a Wagon R CNG in the family for a very long time (2004 dec make, Lovato CNG conversion kit). The only irritating point about that car was waiting in line to fill up the CNG amongst all the cabbies being irked that they are spending their working time not earning money. The CNG line is often the most guarded line. I wonder what will happen when the novelty wears off and they have to stand in the rickshaw line .That is my guess as most stations for at least two years will not bother with a separate pump for a relatively rare vehicle. Hats off to Bajaj though. P.s. Bajaj may not be off when they said cruising at sedate pace can give 115kph. my Wagon R on the highways just sitting at 80kph, gave insanely high mileage. maybe CNG fueling requires less effort to just maintain the engine that is only ticking over at a constant pace. easier to modulate the amount of gas injected resulting in smaller precise bursts through the injectors giving a higher economy
Good to see shumi and Karthik so happy. Dont remember the last time they were so happy that something was launched & kudos to Bajaj. I might buy 1 for my daily office commutes. Great review guys. Thank you so much.
I might buy this bike just for the sake of its novelty and start living with it ASAP. I love the way it looks and your perspective almost paints the whole picture for me, a test ride will complete it. And to talk about the scooter part, I think it might not be happening. Since Shumi has mentioned that the CNG tank needs some open space to cool down as it runs really hot. Scooters have more body work covering them, so yeah it is just my guess with your info, they might work around it with a cooling system but, then that is going to increase the weight and equipment required. Also any info on when it is available?
The Freedom is an example why other brands are tying up with Bajaj, I N N O V A T I O N. Hope Bajaj brings out the CNG scooter too soon! In days where the social media platform is flooded with shit & crap things, you guys are only one that make me stick to RUclips & I'm genuinely in love with the type of content you bring out & the way you present them.
What an interesting motorcycle this is! So proud to see Bajaj bring in this innovative product. While I may never buy it, I'm halfway through, and smiling that they've done it so well. Great coverage like always! 👌🏻
I still remember my dad riding a 1985 Bullet 350 on LPG. He had 2 small tanks in a box mounted on the side of the bike. He used to refill both the cylinders every Sunday using the LPG cylinder we used for cooking applications. This was around 2008.
Bajaj freedom single handedly made my father reconsider buying a new motorcycle and letting go of his old discover, a feat which I couldn't even achieve... It reignited my father's love for motorcycles...
Owner of FREEDOM 125💪 super drivability agile planted ,but in mud terrian tire grips gets off ,Petrol pickup super ,CNG pickup slight down.Headturner fair enough, but handle height is shorter needs height, but Nirmala Sitaraman scares more because she'll increase cost of CNG😢😢😢😢.
Shumi dada! 40:00 The fuel dispensers at Fuel Stations have different speeds at which they dispense fuel into vehicles. Filling the tiny tank using the faster speed can (will?) lead to fuel spilling outside given the small size of the tank. I have had this happen to me on my scooter.
Yes and it's something that the manufacturer has to account for. Highly unrealistic to expect us and the petrol pump operator to bear that responsibility no @RamSharma-90_64?
4:37 Best thing is that bajaj made it look cool Reminds me of where tvs failed with jive ... It looked like everything else on sale ... I rode it and it was excellent...it never sold because the technology that it had was excellent and based on youtube comments , it has been reliable .
I am so impressed by this bike that my expectation from Bajaj have been raised quite a bit, how amazing it would be this technology and 165cc engine from N160= wow
8:56 Finally.... One of the very few channels that has the courage to address this long seat issue and condemned on the speech of Rajiv Bajaj.. 4 people riding on a bike is illegal & it's really unsafe & dangerous (ofcourse not all the 4 is gonna wear helmets) thing to do on public roads which may lead to accident of other riders on the roads. And the story that he narrated about how he felt when he was travelling in his car and he saw a middle class family with a children bla bla bla was really unacceptable. Kudos to you guys for speaking it loud. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽 I'm really proud & happy to be a long time follower of Shumi & Karthik.. ❤️❤️ P.S: I own a BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 & I'm happy with my bike.
I would love to test this bike, despite it not being my kind of bike. I love that Karthik brought up the fact that the workmen bikes shouldn't be just boring and plain! I love the innovation that Bajaj, out of all the brands, to come up with this! I hope that other brands in India use this technology to develop their own kind of motorcycles, with different shapes and sizes! OMG I loved the Honda Grom reference too!! Overall, really looking forward to this bike dominating the 100-150cc family bike market! Kudos to Bajaj
Said it before and will say it again. This bike is a phenomenal release. So unique and innovative yet it looks beautiful. A perfect bike for the real India.
I wish we had professors and teachers like Shumi in school and colleges. I would have scored so much higher. What a pleasure to be listening to you guys❤
Regarding seat length i think it's more to do with you can put a delivery basket and have enough space for a pillion there are fasteners added to the seat for convenience.
Every now and then Bajaj comes up with an unconventional but verryyy appealing design. Like the V15. I always hoped that they'd translate the V15 to V400 or something. Making the gear a little short and the 373 cc engine a little calm. Would've made a lot of sens.e
@@motorinc it would have been much better than the ns400z. The whole point is that indians don't always look for speed. They look for identity, authenticity, a well tuned engine and comfort. People love the ktms, REs and all those for these reasons. Bajaj however fails to identify this. They always think performance is what made the old pulsars a hit.
It's really good to see an Indian company coming up with innovative products like these. I really hope this becomes a commercial success, and doesn't get branded as a delivery guy motorcycle We still need to figure out the alternate fuel approach for motorcycles and this could be a step in the right direction I feel that vehicles like these could become the middle ground between ev scooters and high performance petrol motorcycles, talking to the conservative buyers in between
Experience was great I myself put the all the accessories like the saare gaurd and all others Still clutch control is sensitive if left a little more the bike stops but it is the thing which one will get used to Also a good feature the instrument cluster has variable brightness it's bright in day and dim in night Brakes are great pickup is also great doesn't feel like a commuter I was a owner of platina h gear bought that bike to save fuel now the fuel savings is even great @@motorinc
We all can agree you guys are one of the best and most honest automotive journalists in India, but let's be real, I'm also here for the fashion rehab. Both of you have a style game that’s on point
This is true engineering & from all the reviews I've watched till now, this one was the best. Even the write-ups you did on YT & Instagram were also so informative. As Shumi said "this is a good bike". I was looking for a commuter in Bangalore, after seeing the freedom, I am getting gravitated towards it. I should take a test ride maybe multiple times to get to know the bike & to get used to the small niggles Shumi mentioned. But this is one good bike to consider. I always loved to try new brands, but was hesitant towards EV's all these time as they entirely had a new tech inside, services, re-sale, etc all were concerning me. But in the case of freedom, those are not there. Kinda feel there is a stable product engineering done & Bajaj should do the same on their future products too, as they are competing against a heck of good brands in the 2 wheeler segment. Love this video & loved the enthusiasm you guys had during this conversation & the time that you had with the bike. ❤
This is second time, I saw Shumi sir kid like excited. First one was during 250 duke podcast!😅 His excitement levels tell all about the product quality!
Shumi, man you are rocking and talking non stop without a water. So detail and logic. Is there any possibility to ride and review for Simple one scooter?
Bajaj products are amazing just like TVS but only thing owner's should worry is servicing it because it should be taken to authorised service centre and the guys at service centre are not trained well for petrol engines than think what would they do with this bike
This is a very important step in our auto scene. With EV bikes not having great options, this was the cleaner fuel alternative that we need. And this is good that they took their time to design it and do it properly rather than a quick hash product like the NS400Z. This is a milestone and hopefully we get more of the NS variants and the NG variants in various shapes and forms as Shumi said. Any news on the Basalt launch though?
Hey, What are empty shifts? Also I want your guidance with my fz25 having very hard shifting especially between 1st and 2nd. Observation: Smooth when cold; progressively difficult later on
Somehow even if I’m not interested in the car/bike, i still end up watching your videos. They are that good. ❤ P.S. - Will we get a Motorinc first for the upcoming Triumph Daytona 660?
I refrain from indulging in any other review now, and patiently wait for MotorInc to put out the episode. This show is just getting better and better. As an automotive designer and an enthusiast, this episode feels so wholesome. The detail at which every aspect is captured is just phenomenal.
To me this feels like the true flagship bike of Bajaj and also effectively i think this is the king in the market as there are no direct CNG competitors for this bike.
Great great review, as usual I must say. Great infos, great stories, great tips, great smile. As if they are my brothers, i feel at home, enjoying the ride as if jumping on the motorcycle. On petrol or gas, let's not ride on the economy of fun.
I am an Owner of a Royal Enfield Bullet 350 BS4 since 2019. And I truly love the bike for what it is. Looking at how fuel prices increased through the years and how Innovative this Bike from Bajaj is very interesting to consider. 😅😂
Just saw the Kawasaki H2 HySE. The first thought I had was, Guys! Get in touch with your old friends in Pune😄. Bajaj has been testing Wind/Platina CNG, Electric Scooters, and Electric Qute since the mid-2000s. One problem, though, is that Vanaz already has CNG kits for Activa and Jupiter. If Bajaj doesn't do it, others will for sure! Quick suggestion. You should add one more to the set of videos per product. Onboard POV.
How do you transition or adjust to riding or testing different types of vehicles and of different power & torque.. I find it astonishing.. do you need to spend some time with the vehicle or do you connect with it instantly?

@@MuditBadlani thank you for explaining :)
Always learn something relevant with you guys 😀
Edit: Off-topic, but when is the Guerrilla 450 first ride video coming out?
Wow so cool review!! A great innovation from Indian Manufacturer!!
Solid points, both, Doc!
Good to see shumi and Karthik so happy. Dont remember the last time they were so happy that something was launched & kudos to Bajaj. I might buy 1 for my daily office commutes. Great review guys. Thank you so much.
Thank you for watching @madihalli! Be sure to take a test ride before you decide.
Wow, that intro is something else. Screams Quality ❤❤❤
Thank you Rohit!
Really impressed with Bajaj. 👌🏾 Seems like they had put an entirely different team dedicated only for this project.
Thank you for joining us @ArunSapaare!
Love the innovative idea of Bajaj. More & more bikes & car companies should spend money on R&D be it on engine or innovative designs.
What an interesting motorcycle this is! So proud to see Bajaj bring in this innovative product. While I may never buy it, I'm halfway through, and smiling that they've done it so well.
Great coverage like always! 👌🏻
Thank you for joining us @ishaanagrawal2763!
I still remember my dad riding a 1985 Bullet 350 on LPG. He had 2 small tanks in a box mounted on the side of the bike. He used to refill both the cylinders every Sunday using the LPG cylinder we used for cooking applications. This was around 2008.
😧
This is why I come to this channel! They go beyond the spec sheet !
Thank you @octaofficial7481.
Thanks for the video guys.
I hope to continue the quality & attention to detail to on coming Bajaj bikes
Kartik and Shumi, nice review straight from heart. Happy to see Bajaj leading such innovations!
This bike is so aesthetically pleasing. I hope we get more such designs.
Shumi dada! 40:00
The fuel dispensers at Fuel Stations have different speeds at which they dispense fuel into vehicles.
@@motorinc what could they have done as per you?? Just curious
5:20 I think NG stands for Nitin Gadkari
4:37
Best thing is that bajaj made it look cool
Reminds me of where tvs failed with jive ...
P.S: I own a BAJAJ DOMINAR 400 & I'm happy with my bike.
Thanks for sharing your perspective @yogeshkumar-ly9gl
CNG Kits require periodic service & sometimes even a different grade engine oil. It will be interesting to understand more on this topic.
Love the happiness in Shumi and Karthik. ❤❤
Thank you @omcarrides.
Regarding seat length i think it's more to do with you can put a delivery basket and have enough space for a pillion there are fasteners added to the seat for convenience.
Friends, could you do a detailed program on Honda 300R please.
Every now and then Bajaj comes up with an unconventional but verryyy appealing design. Like the V15.
I always hoped that they'd translate the V15 to V400 or something. Making the gear a little short and the 373 cc engine a little calm. Would've made a lot of sens.e
Interesting! Is that something you think would fare well today @Antonyeratt?
@@motorinc it would have been much better than the ns400z. The whole point is that indians don't always look for speed. They look for identity, authenticity, a well tuned engine and comfort. People love the ktms, REs and all those for these reasons. Bajaj however fails to identify this. They always think performance is what made the old pulsars a hit.
It's really good to see an Indian company coming up with innovative products like these.
I really hope this becomes a commercial success, and doesn't get branded as a delivery guy motorcycle
We still need to figure out the alternate fuel approach for motorcycles and this could be a step in the right direction
I feel that vehicles like these could become the middle ground between ev scooters and high performance petrol motorcycles, talking to the conservative buyers in between
Just purchased it
You cleared all my doubts
Waiting for delivering
Congratulations @masterology9349! Let us know how the delivery experience goes.
Congratulations @masterology9349! Let us know how the delivery experience goes.
Experience was great I myself put the all the accessories like the saare gaurd and all others
Still clutch control is sensitive if left a little more the bike stops but it is the thing which one will get used to
Also a good feature the instrument cluster has variable brightness it's bright in day and dim in night
Brakes are great pickup is also great doesn't feel like a commuter I was a owner of platina h gear bought that bike to save fuel now the fuel savings is even great @@motorinc
I agree totally agree with schumi, if the platina can get abs then why was such a revolutionary product left out
We all can agree you guys are one of the best and most honest automotive journalists in India, but let's be real, I'm also here for the fashion rehab. Both of you have a style game that’s on point
Thank you for the double compliments @mohamednaflan4361 😅
Thank you for joining us @aravind1264. Do let us know what you thought after your test ride.
@@motorinc sure, will update it in the comments as soon as I get a hands-on on this. 🤘
there were so many review of this bike but, i knew what i was waithing for
Thank you for waiting @jack76thegamer30!
Please bring us the comparison between updated n160 and other
This is second time, I saw Shumi sir kid like excited. First one was during 250 duke podcast!😅 His excitement levels tell all about the product quality!
Thanks for joining us @subhashbhattcmgmsxfwah9157!
100% agree with the payload comment. It is like encouraging people towards dangerous riding.
I love when shumi goes educator mode
I wish they add more petrol storage to it so we can have more effective range. But kudos to Bajaj for coming up with this innovative product.!
I sat on a talk show for 40 frickin minutes ???!!! Dude I don't even .... Kudos
If they really launch a CNG scooter like Shumi said, it would be awesome. I can’t imagine how it would look.
Hopefully like a normal scooter @sacchii9445 😆
I learned how to ride a motorcycle on LML Freedom ❤
This is a very important step in our auto scene. With EV bikes not having great options, this was the cleaner fuel alternative that we need. And this is good that they took their time to design it and do it properly rather than a quick hash product like the NS400Z.
This is a milestone and hopefully we get more of the NS variants and the NG variants in various shapes and forms as Shumi said.
Any news on the Basalt launch though?
We hope so too @BhaskaraVenkatesh! As for the Basalt, we're waiting for first drives.
It looks so good. Yes. YES. If they get a pure petrol version of this SAME thing ! Would be sooo good !!!
Just the one thing missing from Bajaj's arsenal is a Good Adventure Motorcycle....
and a fast scooter like aerox but with a bigger tank and softer suspensions
I was waiting for this review & Its spot on as always.
Thank you @nayanmenon5084!
Hey,
What are empty shifts?
Also I want your guidance with my fz25 having very hard shifting especially between 1st and 2nd.
Observation: Smooth when cold; progressively difficult later on
Somehow even if I’m not interested in the car/bike, i still end up watching your videos. They are that good. ❤
Thank you very much @angshumaaan.
Pushing my friend to sell his old thunderbird for this. Just phenomenal! 😄
Woah! You liked it that much?
31:34 on that note TVS is making scooter for Jupiter 125
To me this feels like the true flagship bike of Bajaj and also effectively i think this is the king in the market as there are no direct CNG competitors for this bike.
If it becomes a success, there'll be many in no time @vishnumohan5603.
Take a test ride and see what you think @nealmascarenhas1262! We'll be very interested to hear what you think.
I think TVS has announced a CNG version of Jupiter 125. I will be interesting to see how it pens out.
Can't wait any longer, please do the Guerrilla 450 already.. I check MotorInc channel almost everyday now, hoping to see a first impressions video.
Stay tuned @faraanrocks14.
Thank you for the info and the suggestion @virajvrooms!
How do you transition or adjust to riding or testing different types of vehicles and of different power & torque.. I find it astonishing.. do you need to spend some time with the vehicle or do you connect with it instantly?
Wow ! Thankyou guys 🙂
Thanks for watching @devanshugaur6490.
31:00 about CNG scooters, I think TVS is developing one under Jupiter label.
The intro is a banger btw
Indians r doing serious things in the motorcycle world..
Bajaj - Innovation
Tvs - bought NORTON
RE : making classic highend motorcycles
Just awesome
Any idea if mavrick 440 will be reviewed
We're definitely planning on it @emmanuel.indukuri.
