A chronological compilation of Siskel & Ebert (and others later) reviewing the films of Kevin Smith It's bittersweet for me to post an updated version of this episode, since Kevin Smith himself commented (positively) on the last one, but it was a foregone conclusion. I waited for months to post the first one, hoping that the Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back review would eventually turn up. Alas, I cut my losses and decided to post it without that. Literally like a month later that review finally turned up! I got so excited that I forgot to add "Writer/Director" to the title card, but probably only I would even care to notice that... And just to sweeten the deal, I added some solo Roeper reviews of some of Smith's later works. From 1994's Clerks to 2011's Red State. Unfortunately still no review available for Clerks 2, and Dogma is still incomplete I excluded Good Will Hunting this time, just to stick with his directing work (I got several comments wondering why I included it the last time, it was because he executive produced it and was key to getting it made) Anyway, hopefully Kevin will see this updated one, and sorry again to those who commented on the last one... 00:43 Clerks 04:43 Mallrats 06:45 Chasing Amy 10:52 Dogma (incomplete) 13:32 Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back (with Roeper) 17:05 Jersey Girl (Ebert solo) 19:33 Zack & Miri (bonus review) 23:13 Cop Out (Roeper solo) 26:22 Red State (Roeper solo) Primarily for educational purposes, but enjoy however you see fit! I love these compilations keep it up
The strong reviews Ebert gave Clerks made Kev's career.
Roeper nailed it about the stories about Cop Out > Cop Out
Isn't that the lady who hated "Magnolia"? Roger really had a rough time with this guest host.
They had a big disagreement over Gladiator, too
Roeper stays winning
