Thank you for repeating your steps in more than one video. I need to be reminded " likes with likes," "work on it a little at a time (use timer if necessary)," "it will get worse before it gets better..." Seeing the end result really motivates me to plug away at it.
This is my room, but mine is much smaller and I’ve been purging for a few years. This is exactly what I needed to see. I’m ok going thru a few boxes a day and evaluating keep, donate, sell, throw out. I actually started one one corner today and realized that tomorrow I need to go get a few packing boxes to do my sorting, making sure that as I decide to purge it leaves so I’m not second guessing and bringing it back in. Thank you!
Thanks for common sense approach. A lot of people say touch item only once when sorting and purging. I find that hard because like you said. Put in large group then site smaller. Thus is what I do then feel guilty because I’m handling items more than once. I like your way of doing things. That’s the way I try to do sorting and organizing. Thanks
Well said! I think we've all been taught you should only touch things once. But, you can't know where to put items until you know what you have and how much! And if you try and organize in tiny groups first - you will be overrun with categories. I am so glad this clicks with you.
This is my story! My bedroom is a hybrid space for crafting and I have a lot of different materials because I have a lot of different interests--so there are a lot of found objects, ribbons, fabrics, paper, motors, my wood stash, metal stash, paints--- it goes on and on. This video gives me hope LOL!
Norrine, watching your videos has made me more compfortable with my process, thank you! I guess it just seemed natural to do the sorting like things and then break it down. So that has been my plan. My block walls are my mobilty issues and general weekness, everthing takes me three times as long as it takes most folks. I get discouraged, and just sit and stare at the kaos. But, then I watch one of your client videos and yeah it may take me more that three days, but I will win! Thank you for showing me I am on the right track!
My husband has been after me to organize and clean up the "crap" room as he now calls it. You have given me some great ideas and inspiration! I'm going through some health issues right now, but now I know I can nibble at it provided I have a plan!
Oh this crafty space makeover is amazing! My craft room is also my Lego room, classic video game room, Storage for my board games as well as my teleworking home office. It has gotten so out of control I have moved my laptop to my bedroom so I can work during the day. But after finding your wonderful channel I have started doing a little at a time. I too suffer from chronic pain and sometimes lucky just to get thru my work day. Today I got all the empty Amazon boxes that were hanging in my dining room took them to the recycle bin, cleaned out 1 cabinet in the kitchen and made a box full of items to donate and a box fun of items to donate to my Granddaughters dance studio. Thank you for the amazing channel and great encouragement and ideas!
Wow! This spoke volumes to me! I do all sorts of crafts, so most craft room organization videos don't help at all. I live in a small townhouse, so my craft room is my dining room with supplies kept throughout the house. I try to keep likes with likes, but get bored down in the micro. Thanks for the reminder to keep the wide angle view first!
Thank you for sharing . Wow , that turned out lovely and I imagine quite a calming place for her to spend her time now . Looking at her before pictures ..it must of been so overwhelming for her to start on her own , so I’m so glad you were both able to help her and I bet she loved that you love crafts too . Please thank her for welcoming us into her home..I never take for granted when I’m invite into someone’s home physically or virtually ,it’s a privilege to be invited ,thank you . 💛
I love that you are doing these! Not only does it warm my heart, it gives me so much information. For free!!! I took a lot of notes while I was watching this. That way I can get things prepared in advance so I don't need as much help getting things put away in the right places. I'll be watching it several more times just to make sure I don't miss anything that I need to know. Thank you for being the good we want to see in the world. Thank you for sharing. Whoever the client is, thank you for sharing your home with us. 💞
My Favorite on gutters is the Ribbon love. Looking for perfect way to display yet easy to roll out & use while creating wreaths florals to other stuff. This is great. To paints also love. Great inspiration.
This was so helpful! I usually spend so much time trying to get organized that I can't get anything done. And yes, I have multiple organizing boxes that its overwhelming.
Your words that resonated with me the most are “It’s going to get worse before it gets better.” I often start to declutter my craft room and it becomes so overwhelming when I start going through everything that I give up and it ends up being a bigger mess than when I started. I like you ways of general groupings and then paring down from there. I have also tried micro organizing and end up with so many containers and no room for them all. I love your videos! Thank you for being so personable and non judgemental in your videos.
Very interesting. I’m glad you understand about wanting to keep all the little stuff for projects. I really need help but watching you makes a lot of sense.
I am getting a craft room organize, it used to be my son bedroom. I had purchased a lot of supplies since April, furniture, etc.. more work than I was expecting. Thank you for your wonderful ideas.. one day at a time. Blessings!
What a great job you did with the craftroom! I agree with you- reducing the huge piles to smaller and smaller units or categories as you go- you do end up handling things more than once, but you can see progress right away, and seeing the empty spaces that open up is motivating. Thanks for the video.
I recently have gone through an excercise like this. It was almost overwhelming. Like your comment to plan for plenty of time I found that I underestimated the total time required and got frustrated. I persevered and took a step back to plan better. What a difference!! Your suggestions and calm have inspired me to tackle the next project. Thanks Noreen
I injured my back last year and turned to crafting to fill my time. I needed to fell like I accomplished something. I've been adding supplies to my little room, trying to organize as I add. My awesome husband is building a shed for his workshop which is next to my craft/laundry room. His shed is almost done and he will be moving his stuff out there and giving me his room which is connected to my room. I'm so excited to spread out and truly get organized and able to craft. I'm new to your channel and find we are very similar in our organization. I have basically everything in the large groups and am excited to start breaking them down like you did for your client. So many ideas and so excited to get started. ❤️
I am so excited for you!!!! This is the perfect time to get all of your supplies organized and ready to move! Please share pictures once you are settled in your new space!!!
I am watching this again. I have emptied out my craft room/office. OMG! You are right I have so many empty containers that I want to work but I don't think will. Having trouble sort into categories. So overwhelmed. Haven't been able to get someone to help. Wish you lived on the east coast. Florida is lovely this time of year. Thanks Tanya.
That is one lucky lady. WOW what a great job you did. My craft room is getting there. Still some maneuvering to be done but as you say slow and sure wins the race! Not a winner yet but closer.
I love your mad skills in organizing! You have such great ideas. I moved in July & used your advice to organize my first ever full craft room. It still needs refining but I love it thanks to your tips & tricks! 👍💗👌😉
Iknow your client must be so grateful for your help. It's a wonderful space! Love the sorting in plastic bags idea. How clever! I live in a really small, one room house, and I have no place to set up a crafting area. This has has helped (forced) me to act like a minimalist in all aspects of my home, and also pare down my crafting stuff. But now I plan on buying a Silhouette Cameo, and need to figure out a space for it. Something else has got to give, but I don't know what yet. It'll be used on the kitchen table. It's quite overwhelming. I love your videos, because they help me figure out solutions for my own home.
Look for small furniture/storage ideas.... (think small shoe storage) that can sit under your craft table or desk for the Cameo to sit on top of. Bonus points if it's on rollers, as it will be easier for you to have access to it!
This was great. I have a spare room that I have put things that I don't know what it where I want them. It is also a spare bedroom with a walk in closet. I cleaned out a different room a couple years ago and made it into a sewing room. So now the spare room is a catch all for non sewing items and other crafting and keepsakes that I still want, I think! Haha This has helped to get me motivated and to know where to start. Great video!
Hahaha, I could totally relate when you talked about the cute storage containers that you don't end up using. I have a pile of these things that I used for about a minute but have since proved themselves to not be as useful as I'd hoped. 🤷🏼♀️ This was an amazing before and after, so satisfying to watch. Great job!
Noreen, Thank you for showing this. This is an actual crafter’s room with all the various things. Often times you see videos to organize a craft room and there is so little stuff which is so not helpful. Great ideas! I reorganized most of my craft room in March and April. Because of health issues, I can only work for small amounts at a time. I took my time and am happy with the results.
Great tips/advice, I always learn so much from your videos. My biggest laugh (challenge) is the miscellaneous "boxes". By breaking down our likes with likes, is making a difference. You're great at what you do, geez I wish I had her craft room, it's a dream come true for me, lol. Thanks Norrine, have a fabulous weekend! 😊
Trust me - I can't tell you how many times I've completely taken an area apart - and had that gasp moment, "What have I done"! LOL But, it is the best way to really get to break down and get your categories perfected. Thanks for watching!
I did love how you approached that chaotic craft room. I love the steps, explanations, and solutions you provided I dont have a craft room , but to big IKEA shelves that must be organize. Thsnks for this video. An awesome one.REALISTIC!
I’m in the process of organizing my craft room. It’s slow but steady. Hard to discard (one way or another) things I no longer want to do, but they have to go. Looking for somewhere to donate. At least I have My workbench cleaned off and organized. I make handmade cards, paint, and misc. seasonal stuff with my grandchildren. They’ll be getting some of my overage. Yay!
Thank you for all of your crafting advice. I also craft in many different mediums, I paint ceramics, card making and scrapbooking, I paint on canvas and also sew. My craft room is not what I would call messy but when I switch to a different craft I find that my other crafting supplies are kind of in the way. Soooo, the month of January will be dedicated to organizing my craft room into a more ideal area that will be more accessible to my many different crafts. Thank you again, I just found you and am sad you will no longer be doing these amazing videos. Wishing you lots of luck and success in your future endeavors
I am still doing the videos!!!! Just my personal business of organizing in my local area is stopping. Too hard with the recent California small business laws and the Pandemic. I love RUclips and helping people too much to leave it all. LOL 🌺💜🌺
I so get how she must feel, have felt. I have gotten things gathered and many likes with likes.. I have more to do and this. I am encouraged by this process. I have tons to toss too.
I loved this makeover. I'm itching to get started on my own makeover now. Norrine, great as usual. I loved that you were able to use what your client already owned.
This has got me motivate. I have a craft space in my front room but my daughter is staying with me and she sleeps in my front room so I have brought in my craft stuff in my room. My room is a total mess with craft items and boxes to things that I have boxed to put in storage. My problem is I want to get everything done in one day instead if focusing on one area at a time.
I have more boxes to get organized. I have been working on this for months. I have been thinking about just getting rid of all my crafts because it’s so overwhelming. I don’t want to because it really brings me so much joy and happiness to craft. But watching this did give me hope. I do see that breaking it done into big like sections. Then looking for a place that it will fit makes a lot of sense. Thanks for sharing this.
Yes,I agree with Norrine -- you have to do things that bring you joy -- the world needs more happiness -- so keep on crafting -- whatever you choose -- and organizing -- that brings its own satisfaction as well.
I finally got the craftroom of my dreams 3 years ago. Went crazy buying supplies as I have many interests. Crochet, psinting, bead work, cricut, sewing. Im out of room. Haven't used my room in a year due to clutter. Im so upset my beautiful room is over run by supplies I can't seem to purge 😫
Hi, Kristine. Let's see if I can help. Email me pictures of your area (wide-shots of the room/area and close-ups) to CallClutterFairy@gmail.com and I will take a look. 💜
WOW, Norrine! I think you could do nothing but craft spaces. You really know how to assess functionality. A lot of organizers make things look beautiful, but they miss that part of the equation--especially if they are not creative themselves. This was AWESOME!!! :-)
Thanks, Hali! I love making rooms look pretty - but not if it loses functionality! We talked about moving furniture around and making BIG changes... but I try to keep things closer to what people at home would be able to do. 💙
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for sharing, thank you for the reassurance about it being ok to touch my items multiple times. I was just working on my craft room last night and was reworking a set of items. I told my sister I feel like that's a waste of time but I want it to feel correct when I sit to craft I want it just like you said my most grabbed items in arms length. I've been working on it since September I promise to share pics when I'm finished. I see the light of my finished room! So excited!
The before and after speaks volumes. The room looks soooooooo much better. I’ve adopted your techniques and has been the best thing for me to follow. So far so good......and so true....once all the items are removed and I culled it down as I did this. All like items with like items. I then had my bins and containers ready that I had already chosen for the space . Then all that was left was to put the containers back. My craft room looks amazing now. I actually have two spaces I use....one is my craft room and the other is my design studio as I am a designer/ tailor. Soooooo........I’d like to just thank you for all the time you give to creating your channel and sharing ideas and tutorials. You are much appreciated . 💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
I get to the it's gonna get worse part and get overwhelmed and shive things in drawers and boxes. I think I am able to get past that now, knowing that there is a better! Thank you for what you do!
You can do it! Try to not look at the entire project! Focus on the single task and celebrate when each step is completed! You will be shocked to look up and realize you are done with sorting, and ready to put things away!!!
My craft area looks like the before and I find it soooooo overwhelming. I do make an effort from time to time but it's like it's growing. The room triples up as my husbands desk area which is getting smaller and my beauty and body products. I am addicted to these too. I find myself closing the door and hoping fairies come along and organise overnight but they must be too busy. I love your videos they are really informative but they are always calming and comforting. Sometimes I play one to my husband to try and make him see it's not as easy as he thinks it is. Thank you for your wonderful advice and helpful information and support. Please keep it going I need you. Kindest regards...Marie oxo
I found this to be so encouraging.... I too enjoy many kinds of crafts, so I too have supplies for many crafting hobbies. Just today, my sister dropped by to see what progress I’ve made, and to offer suggestions to me..... I’m still unpacking from moving, and attempting to get settled into my new craft room.... in our first house, I had a wonderful room. The prior owner of that house worked for LeeWards here in Illinois.... the room was already established! Next house was a rough corner of our u finished basement..... 18+ years later, I have a room again, and loads more supplies and tools 🤔🤭😉
It’s so great to see a realistic craft room makeover. So many I watch look absolutely show room beautiful, but not really realistic of a true craft space. What a lovely bright airy space. Well done, you are truly an angel on earth for doing this 🇦🇺❤️
This craft room before pics remind me of mine, except mine is waaaay smaller. Im finding I have so many containers too, yesterday I actually fell over them. I’ve purged so much I don’t have enough stuff to fill them. Her room looks lovely 😊
@@TheCraftyOrganizer honestly I was going to sell them all on FB and get new ones to fit my new space if I need them. I don’t think I’ll need to though because I sold all the stuff I had in them 😂
Wow, still working on what we have talked about, I think this video helped me most..It was alot lot more space then I have..but a beautiful Job. It's going to take me forever, but more and more I will get comfortable with less is more, sometimes it's hard to let go of what I had planned to do sometime. I have always envied those that dont buy ahead for the good deals and only make ahead for one project until its done..then buy more for the next..with minimal tools.
I have learned to not shop. I used to go to see what deals I could find. I always found clearance deals that were too good to pass up and would bring them home for 'later'. While I do enjoy having things around when I want to craft - there has to be 'inventory control'.... or those later projects take over and eventually prevent getting to craft at all. I'm so excited about the progress you ARE making. Don't get discouraged, take your time, and enjoy the process while imagining your amazing space all completed!
Lol... looks like I'm on the right path... seeing n hearing your methods are very validating... I only have 42 bins to still go through to have my storage sorted(about half)... knitting, crochet, beading, leathercraft n sewing... many things I know I have but haven't seen for literally 40+ years... my goal is this time next year to be done n each have its own spot... my biggest road blocks... I get distracted by shiny objects(my precious newly found memories) n new projects... lol... I will persevere... thank you for all your hardwork making these videos that help us all... thank you for generously sharing all your knowledge... blessings
If you can have a friend or family member sit with you to 'keep you on track' it helps! Otherwise, set it aside and let yourself look forward to going through those memory items leisurely - AFTER your timed session is up. :)
I'm so guilty of the micro-organizing lol. In this next phase (moving slow but steady as my energy/motivation allows) I'm trying to stick to the wider end of the funnel as I sort. I just keep telling myself it'll be so much nicer & easier to micro sort in a generally organized space. Luckily for the project the handyman has allotted a day next week for my closet re-vamp which will finally allow all the sorted stuff in bins on the floor a place to call home which I think will be that "turning point" you mentioned. Keep your fingers crossed 🤞 Thanks again for the encouragement and inspiration to keep going.
I have a little garage,i call my sheshed but in the winter it's very cold and isn't properly insulated plus i'm a renter.i have paper, paint, furnature, almost everything i craft with.
I loved watching this video on organizing a craft space. My space is currently in my dining room. However, I see how I can make some of these strategies work for me. Knowing that I just need to put all like items and craft types together makes so much sense and will be a great help in itself. I am so excited to try your suggestions. Thanks
Love the makeover!! I have a basement craft room and I have stuff in 3 rooms! Your advice makes a lot of sense!! My daughter asked what she could give me got Christmas and I said help organizing. She said absolutely!!! She loves to organize! I love to organize too, but shoulder surgery a month ago and my husband had a full shoulder replacement 5 months ago...we are limited on what we can do.
Organizing your own stuff is ALWAYS harder!!! I take so much longer to organize my own things then I do a clients!!!! LOL I'm excited your daughter is going to help!
Fantastic job...very inspirational...since you can’t come to Australia I will have to tackle my craft room which is in my garage on my own 😁 your ideas will help me...thank you Juliana
I love that you showed us this. Im still not ready to tackle my craft room . You make it look so easy, I start then just get over whelmed. Thank you I can't miss any of you vidieos . You teach us so much
that's it, you've inspired me to finally organize my craft space. The challenge for me is I have no money to work with. But I have many containers and shelves and so know I can do it! I'll take before and after shots so I can see my progress. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas!!
Yes! It's been nearly a year since I began transforming our 2nd guest room in to my craft room. I'm down to the last bit... which I have designated to 2 shelves in my refurbished armoire! Today is the day I am going to tackle the mound of "stuff" and complete the transformation! I needed this to reassure me of the steps to be taken to organize the remnants! Thank you!!
Wow! Y'all did a FANTASTIC job organizing this room/area! Thanks for sharing. Have you done any videos on organizing family pictures? If you do will you please list them. Thank you.
Good advice. I am a firm believer in sorting boxes. It is a good investment to buy clear plastic totes, shoeboxes, and ziploc bags of various sizes. The sort boxes won't go to waste and can later be used for off season storage containers. Sort boxes restrain the chaos more effectively than sorting into piles on the carpet or a table top.
I'll get my guest room ready in Georgia for you to visit! I have a storage/craft/cake decorating/out of season clothes/file cabinet room that needs you! Excellent video!
This was really helpful because my office is also my craft space and everything is jumbled up and piling up. I am going to try to break it all down like this and then decide how to organise like with like so I have a space I can use. Thanks so much!
Norrine, thank you so much for doing my room! I have so much peace now and just grin every time I walk in there! You and Mary were amazing! I was embarrassed at how messy it was in the beginning, but reading the comments of others, I realize many of us crafters are in the same boat: too many crafts, too many interests, and just way too much stuff! I'm glad that you were able to help so many through my room!
I knew it would help others!!! I just regret not showing your amazing talents and art that you've created!!! If I get to come out again... we are getting in that storage area!!!!! :) Thank you so much for being a part of this and letting us 'play' in your room. xoxoxo
Hello Norrine👋 Haven't seen U in awhile! I Love Ur Craft Room! Especially the Beautiful Turquoise/Blue U use! I live in small 1 BDRM Apt., so I don't really have Craft Room(more like Overflowing Craft Cart)😂😂&Holiday Decor😂I understand the "being Overwhelmed"😵😱I loved Ur approach&Results! TFS! Hope U r doing Well!Stay Safe&Healthy😷 😎💗🌴🌸🌞🙏
OMG! I totally needed this! I've been wanting to see your work, so this was great. I really need to get myself organized and this did help me feel motivated. Thank you!
Yes I have an office and craft room together. I did what you did and took everything out and sorted it outside of the room, so the family room was a mess. Then I acquired 3 file cabinets with 3 and 4 draws at different depths. I took off the robe doors and placed the file cabinets into the wardrobe space, this free'd up floor space in the room. I also got a work bench with storage underneath and on top. I cut a piece of wood to make the size desk I could fit in the room for the sewing machine and placed that on 2 cupboards and 2 sets of draws. Lastly I had lots and lots of folders on display taking up room, so I pulled everyone apart, had a save and rubbish pile and cleaned them all up. Next I got myself a labeler (Brother PT) and started to put items from the folders into my upright file system's in the wardrobe which got rid of the majority of folders, only keeping 10 out for the important documents. All craft is on one side of the room, all office on the other side and the workbench sits in the middle. Open trays set up at 3 and labelled, work, home and business hold the items being used or ready for filing neatly under the workbench. All tapes, staples, hole punches etc are on top of workbench and a magnetic knife block on the side of the workbench hold's sizzor's, blades, and metal tools. A magnetic board is on the wall for items to take care of for that week. And a computer desk also fits into the room now. All items where possible are on wheels for easy removal for cleaning. And one cabinet is used solely for stationary. On top of all 3 file cabinets are baskets and containers holding most used item for easy access. It was a huge job but a good clean-up to get rid of old items, I feel so much better in myself and my room now, a cleanup is as good as a holiday for the body and brain as much as the space you work in, I recommend it to everyone to change rooms around frequently and get furniture on wheels, any room in my home can be transformed easily into what I want with all my storage on wheel's...Rozz...Brisbane....Australia
I LOVE ❤ ORGANIZING. It keeps me sane. I too suffer from depression & anxiety. Medication wasn't helping at all but organizing stuff keeps my mind occupied and just makes me happy to see the outcome. I love watching your videos for diy ideas for organizers and tips on organizing. Thank you for sharing❤
Your description of touching/moving things multiple times like a sliding puzzle is so true! I feel like I am constantly moving things around for a better fit. I try to think of my stuff as fluid...it grows and shrinks, and how often I use things changes. So I may need to move something I'm not using as much now to a less convenient place so things I am using more often now are easy to get to (and put away).
One word: FABULOUS!! I'd love to see more makeovers like this (!!!) and hearing your organizing techniques even if they're repetitive. I'm someone that needs and learns best from repetition. I love her new space and believe a clutter-free space creates more space for organization but also for creativity. God bless her and you! 💙 Karen in Marshfield, MO 💙
Oh Norrine, she had floor space available before you got the room organized! How nice it would be to have such a big fantastic craft room. You definitely have wonderful ideas! I've been purging and organizing several spaces at the same time. As I've been working I found that I had all kinds of craft organizing items that I just filled up because I had them, not because they actually helped me be organized! Besides being a crafting collector, I buy and sell antiques and collectibles so I have stuff EVERYWHERE. I've decided I want my house back so the biggest thing for me is getting rid of stuff I will never use or sell. (Much like a hoarder, I get attached to things...not healthy!) For the past month I've delivered a carload of stuff including project furniture to our local thrift store two or three times a week. Its amazing how much stuff I had stuffed into my house, craft room and shed. I'm also cleaning up my office and shredding old papers. I am SOOOO glad I found your channel. You have given me the courage and skills to actually tackle this gargantuan task!
I am so excited for you!!! It feels wonderful to get control of your space again. You don't realize how much it was affecting you, until you get things out and can breath again! Yay for you!!!!! Will I get to see pictures??
This was amazing to “see” happen. I have craft stuff in three rooms in my house. I know it’s not fair to my family, so I am trying to get things started now. My daughter comes home in November after a year of not being able to see her. She teaches and could not come for her Spring Break or any part of the summer, obviously due to COVID-19. We are praying that her states numbers stay down and our states numbers stay down. So, I have a little over a month to get all of my stuff tamed. Wish me luck, it’s going to be a journey!
Thank you for repeating your steps in more than one video. I need to be reminded " likes with likes," "work on it a little at a time (use timer if necessary)," "it will get worse before it gets better..." Seeing the end result really motivates me to plug away at it.
Glad it helped!
Thank you!
You've got this, Kat!!!
You can do this!!!! Remember to set that timer.... and take care of you first!!! The room is patient and will wait. Go at YOUR pace.
My husband has been after me to organize and clean up the "crap" room as he now calls it. You have given me some great ideas and inspiration! I'm going through some health issues right now, but now I know I can nibble at it provided I have a plan!
You can do it!!!! Go slow, there is no time limit.
Really nicely done! I love real life makeovers! Thank you 👍
Thank you! 😊
Twila!!! I am so excited for you!!!! Those little steps add up to amazing results in no time!!!!
I think I was led to you today. You have given me hope.
You are so welcome!!!
You’re welcome 😊 I feel the same, I am honored each time I am allowed to come in and organize. I'm so glad you liked the outcome. We did too!!!
It really was so much fun. I have a hard time not wanting to come back and craft when I am done helping with a space! LOL
My Favorite on gutters is the Ribbon love. Looking for perfect way to display yet easy to roll out & use while creating wreaths florals to other stuff. This is great. To paints also love. Great inspiration.
You have such a natural talent for organizing. Great information. You calm manner is so happily refreshing.
Thank you so much!
This was so helpful! I usually spend so much time trying to get organized that I can't get anything done. And yes, I have multiple organizing boxes that its overwhelming.
I'm so glad!
I'm so glad it helped, Sandy! Let me know how it goes! I'm here to support and make suggestions if you get stuck. ❤
Blessings!
Wow! So lucky to have all that space! My craft room is whatever nook or cranny I can grab lol
My first craft area was a broom closet and a small tool box. Oh... how we've grown! LOL
What a great job you did with the craftroom! I agree with you- reducing the huge piles to smaller and smaller units or categories as you go- you do end up handling things more than once, but you can see progress right away, and seeing the empty spaces that open up is motivating. Thanks for the video.
Thanks, Carol! 🌞
That's so exciting!!!! Keep me posted on your journey!!!!
I wish I could come help!!! Working on getting that RV so I can start traveling! Stay tuned!
That is one lucky lady. WOW what a great job you did. My craft room is getting there. Still some maneuvering to be done but as you say slow and sure wins the race! Not a winner yet but closer.
YES!!! You will get there!!!! I think slow and steady is better!!! You will be so much more invested in keeping it that way!
I love your mad skills in organizing! You have such great ideas. I moved in July & used your advice to organize my first ever full craft room. It still needs refining but I love it thanks to your tips & tricks! 👍💗👌😉
I'm so glad!
Glad it was helpful!
Excellent. Such excellent ideas and categories. Great tips to get going. 🎉👍🌸🌺🌻
Glad it was helpful!
Thank you for showing this. It was a very relatable craft room. You have helped me so much! I appreciate you taking the time to share!
I'm so glad!
Great job!
Thank you, I needed to hear this. I have so many crafts I love. I am hopelessly in effective at organizing.
I am your cheerleader to help you get through this... and have suggestions if you need them. :)
I hope you are feeling better! I am so excited that you now have an organized craft room you can enjoy! Great job!
Thanks, Michele!
WOW! I hope I can accomplish that good of a result! Miscellaneous category? LOL my LIFE is miscellaneous! ;-)
Mine too!!!! I like to keep tons of things, so I can be creative!!!! It means lots of things that don't have a home! Miscellaneous is now a home. LOL
Loved the way it was it was organized. Just don’t have any shelves to start except a dresser I have it full and carts with rollers.
Hi Norrine! Fantastic video. The room looks amazing! We all fear and hate the moment it gets worse before it gets better! Xx
Thank you so much!
This video was so helpful. I too work on various crafts
Yay!
It feels so great when it's done!!! Keep me posted - I'm here to support and give suggestions, if you need either.
You've got this!!!! I'm here to cheer for you and give suggestions if you need them!!
I’m definitely doing these tips to my craft area
I loved this makeover. I'm itching to get started on my own makeover now. Norrine, great as usual. I loved that you were able to use what your client already owned.
Thank you!!! Talk to you soon. :)
My craft room is almost over flowing - I love yarn - crocheting, beading, painting, sewing, and all kinds of crafting
That's awesome! Sounds like you just need some storage solutions for each interest. :)
My crafts are currently strung out through the house, most are in the living room where I've started getting organized
And I thought I had a lot of crafting stuff! 😂 She’s definitely a crafting champ!
I wish I had shown some of her art and craft books. AMAZING!
It will take more than one day. That's ok! Enjoy the process, take the time and create the space you want around your favorite craft items.
It makes it MUCH easier!!!! Don't give up - especially if you enjoy crafting! 💜
Yes,I agree with Norrine -- you have to do things that bring you joy -- the world needs more happiness -- so keep on crafting -- whatever you choose -- and organizing -- that brings its own satisfaction as well.
That was an amazing room transformation!!! Love love love organization. Great Job
Thanks so much! 😊
Such great tips! 👏🤩 I love before and after!😻 I am totally motivated to attack my craft room! 🧶🧶🧶 Thanks!!! 💖
You can do it!!!!
This is amazing! The room looks great, and it is so awesome that you get to make your living doing what you love and are good at!
I can identify with this gal! I’m a scrapbooker and junk journaler and such a paper nerd!
Very useful information! Still would love to have you come do mine!
Maybe one day! Pennies are going in the jar for my RV. :D
So excited!
Oh - that is so exciting, Nicole!!! I can't wait to see pictures!
💐💐💐💐💐💐💐
I am grinning ear to ear!!!! I am so excited for you!!!! Please tell me you have pictures?!??!!?
@@TheCraftyOrganizer
Yes I do. Before and I’ll take the after.......looking forward to sharing on your face book group🥰🥰🥰
This was so helpful! I am planning to reorganize my craft room/office the first of the year.
Perfect! Please keep me posted on your journey!
I'm hoping to get an RV in the next few years - and when I do, I will come help!!! Don't know if you can wait that long though! LOL
That's so exciting!!!! A blank slate to plan your space!!!!
This was a great example. Exactly, what I have been looking for. Many great ideas to organize my multi-interest craft room. Thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
It’s so great to see a realistic craft room makeover. So many I watch look absolutely show room beautiful, but not really realistic of a true craft space. What a lovely bright airy space. Well done, you are truly an angel on earth for doing this 🇦🇺❤️
Yes! I agree 100 percent!
Thank you so much!
That was incredible! Great job!
Thank you!
This craft room before pics remind me of mine, except mine is waaaay smaller. Im finding I have so many containers too, yesterday I actually fell over them. I’ve purged so much I don’t have enough stuff to fill them. Her room looks lovely 😊
Oh wow! That is actually great!!!! Box them up for now.... you may need them once you get into your new space (once you move)
@@TheCraftyOrganizer honestly I was going to sell them all on FB and get new ones to fit my new space if I need them. I don’t think I’ll need to though because I sold all the stuff I had in them 😂
What a great transformation! I use a lot of the same craft supplies in my junk journals so I understand how it takes over a space. 🐞🥰🐝😘🦋🤗
That is SO exciting!!!! Can't wait to see pictures!!! Keep up those amazing cards!
Everything looks amazing! Love that space she has. I could see myself on that sofa 😄
Me too!!
Amazing, practical, and realistic transformation! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you liked it!
I have a little garage,i call my sheshed but in the winter it's very cold and isn't properly insulated plus i'm a renter.i have paper, paint, furnature, almost everything i craft with.
My office/craft room are in the garage too.... it gets COLD in the winter and HOT in the summer.
I loved watching this video on organizing a craft space. My space is currently in my dining room. However, I see how I can make some of these strategies work for me. Knowing that I just need to put all like items and craft types together makes so much sense and will be a great help in itself. I am so excited to try your suggestions. Thanks
You can do it! Keep me posted!
Oh.... I wish I could come to Australia! Let's put it in the universe that a big budget company will help get me there to help you! LOL
I love that you showed us this. Im still not ready to tackle my craft room . You make it look so easy, I start then just get over whelmed. Thank you I can't miss any of you vidieos . You teach us so much
You can do it! Just start small, and set that timer! You will start to see progress - I promise!
I am going to tackle mine soon...it has spread to other rooms and seems to be taking over my entire house.

that's it, you've inspired me to finally organize my craft space. The challenge for me is I have no money to work with. But I have many containers and shelves and so know I can do it! I'll take before and after shots so I can see my progress. Thanks for the inspiration and ideas!!
I'm rooting for you, Tina!!!! Let me know how it goes!
AMAZING...you did an awesome job on this project!!! Thank you for sharing the process.
You are so welcome! Glad you enjoyed it!
Thank you!!
I can't wait to see the finished room!!! Congrats!
Love it! So Helpful! Keep up the good work !!😉😁💖
Thank you!! 😊
Wow! Y'all did a FANTASTIC job organizing this room/area! Thanks for sharing. Have you done any videos on organizing family pictures? If you do will you please list them. Thank you.
I'm working on that video right now!!!! Stay tuned!
Hi Norinne! This video was fantastic! Thank you, homeowner. I so appreciate being able to see this transformation ! Looks beautiful and functional!
You are so welcome!
Great sorting and organization ideas. Thank you 👍
Glad it was helpful!
The after is so amazing! Thank you for what you do!
You're so welcome!
Well said! And I completely agree - if you have space to store when not needed, they come in handy for SO many things!
I'll get my guest room ready in Georgia for you to visit! I have a storage/craft/cake decorating/out of season clothes/file cabinet room that needs you! Excellent video!
Once I get my RV... I won't need to invade at all! I'll just sleep in my RV :)
This was really helpful because my office is also my craft space and everything is jumbled up and piling up. I am going to try to break it all down like this and then decide how to organise like with like so I have a space I can use. Thanks so much!
You got this! Let me know if you get stuck - I'm here for support and suggestions.
Awesome, my craft room is a working progress..
I think they all are! I know my craft interests are always evolving and changing! So, my room has to adjust as my needs/hobbies do.
:) Thank you so much for being a part of this and letting us 'play' in your room. xoxoxo

OMG! I totally needed this! I've been wanting to see your work, so this was great. I really need to get myself organized and this did help me feel motivated. Thank you!
You are so welcome!
This space sounds amazing!!!! I'd love to see pictures of it!!!!
That's exactly it!!!! It occupies my brain! And.... gives me something I CAN have control over. Happy Holidays, Vanessa!
@@TheCraftyOrganizer happy holidays to you too❤
I love your advice! Thank you!!!
Happy to help!

You've got this! Set the timer and put on some good music!
Wow, what an amazing job! Well done!!!
Thank you so much 😀
