X-Men 97 season one was so good Just a few lingering questions to ponder Q1: Will Sinister get his groove back? Q2: The missing, were they also misplaced across time? Q3: Within the Six months of E-Day, what else might have happened in our time?
Student of the Year for me would be Nightcrawler. Even though he showed up midway, he quickly became the heart of the team. He was so good at holding space for them and helping them heal during tough times just by using his words. Such a good friend
We watched the finale tonight and my daughter jumped up and yelled "I want more!" after the mid credit scene. This show has cemented her love of X-Men. Jean was MVP here. I was chanting "En Saba Nur" when I realized that part of the team ended up in Ancient Egypt, and my husband was just "Who?" Poor Storm. She's gotta wrangle Morph and feral Wolverine.
Cyclops is my student of the season, he went from being a boring sappy boy scout to being a badass and leader by the end. I never cared for that character but now I see him in a completely different view.
Thissss dam show, between Morph’s transformations every episode before this and Gambit’s death, I’m done emotionally 😅 I teared up when Rogue came in with Gambit’s line, oof that episode still lingers, sunspot’s entrance was pretty cool, Cyclop’s little beam off the wall, and Bastion slapping Cable with his own arm was savage and funny at the same time😂
Missed Jay on this finale breakdown ! This season showed the potential of what marvel can really do with the mutants and x-men, hopefully they take notes for the MCU adaptation

Given Bishop's unexplained disappearance and reappearance. And the well set up return of Apocalypse. I wouldn't be surprised if Bender!Immortus is involved... somehow. Those three characters have a history 😉
I was kind of hoping that Bastion was going to trigger Onslaught and we wouldn't see Apocalypse since he was so heavily featured in the original run. but also: it was a good season finale and sets up some fun cliffhangers. The Phoenix thing was kind of a lame out. The cameos were great. I still had fun watching the show and as long as I didn't think so hard about the plots, they were JUST FINE.
Rogue and Sunspot were the only ones in space and both can survive the trip in space to get to the Blue Area of the moon where there is oxygen. Jubilee got sucked out on the Asteroid when they were in the upper atmosphere, so she had air, but it certainly should have been a struggle (and cold).
I hope that Storm, Morph and Wolverine might be in ancient wakanda and I am hoping that Storm meets her ancestor who was the Sorcerer Supreme and Storm might get to learn about the magic side of her family as her ancestors can be traced back to Atlantis .
Good episode. Maybe a 4/5. I thought 8 and 9 were better though. The bastion fight didn’t really do anything for me. Wolverine out the entire episode is exactly what I figured and said last week. But was shocked we didn’t get any good Storm action. The best part of the episode was the very end. I didn’t see that coming at all. Jean and Scott being sent to the future and the others in the past. Well… most of the team. Where did Storm, Morph and Wolverine end up? And why didn’t they show us? Perhaps they were taken and along with Gambit will be the Four Horsemen? Or were they taken to be members of the 12?
I thought Kurt was instantly going to teleport Bastion away but Rogue rightfully got her own back and the tears in her eyes as she hits him was a nice touch
I think you're gonna find out more about the technovirus and how it changes Nathan, I think somehow Cable makes it to the past and his blood will end up infecting En Sabba Nur, partially responsible for creating the Apocalypse we know. I wouldn't be surprised if we get Kang for a big chunk of it. There's a story called Apocalypse wars where they get separated in similar fashion. I believe the horsemen in that were Colossus, Logan, Venom and Deadpool so maybe some variation of that probably with Gambit in place of Deadpool. Gonna be interesting where it goes with Sinister. I guess he goes to apocalypse to fix him. Also would like to see more of the Avengers in this timeline. Funny to see them as like the government superhero cops as opposed to the xmen.

I’m not a fan of this McGuffin ending. Phoenix force then gone, Magneto didn’t bleed out, making Bastion attack humans helped exonerate the Mutants and he’s not that dumb to do that, Fake out death for the entire team, Time Travel But not in a believable way like with Bishop or cable. The only thing I liked was Apocalypse and Gambit scene. And En Sabin nur design and X-man possibilities.

Reading from the Four Horseman storyline or whatever, it seems like Wolverine was depicted as both Death and War. I think the last Horseman of Apocalypse, he was a pureblood mutant and under Horsemen of War as Xorn was The Horsemen of Death. Wondering now what happened to Storm? She was also one of his Horsemen, and if she was with them, she could be slotted into Horsemen of Famine. Maybe he got Mystique somewhere with him and she could be the Horsemen of Pestilence. Or Storm could of just took them all to Wakanda and her and T'Challa gonna fall in love and have a baby lol

One thing I noticed is that the Cable in this season never mentioned Apocalypse. What if the Cable we have seen since thhe original series hasn't always been the same one. They stopped Bastion's utopia from forming, which paved the way for Apocalypse. So the ruturw Nathan has ended up in has changed from Days of Future Past future to Age of Apocalypse future.

You should check out Kamen Rider Build, which has a similar origin for a character as to Bastion. In Kamen Rider the future goo crawls up a woman hoo hoo, and the lady conceives a baby with a man, yet the baby is born with future techno abilities
When he says to storm about appealing to his humanity I thought that was them calling it out, but no they did it anyway 🤦🏽♂️ the landing stuck a little but not quite what I expected, will be interesting to see how the Xmen being back in time affects Apocalypse in the future

To be fair, people who don't know xmen aren't going to spend their time watching this show. They would have checked out pretty early on or never started at all. I am a fan, and for the people or back story I don't know, I watch shows like this to explain things to me and thats all I need.

I’m not a fan of this McGuffin ending. Phoenix force then gone, Magneto didn’t bleed out, making Bastion attack humans helped exonerate the Mutants and he’s not that dumb to do that, Fake out death for the entire team, Time Travel But not in a believable way like with Bishop or cable.
The only thing I liked was Apocalypse and Gambit scene. And En Sabin nur design and X-man possibilities.

Reading from the Four Horseman storyline or whatever, it seems like Wolverine was depicted as both Death and War. I think the last Horseman of Apocalypse, he was a pureblood mutant and under Horsemen of War as Xorn was The Horsemen of Death. Wondering now what happened to Storm? She was also one of his Horsemen, and if she was with them, she could be slotted into Horsemen of Famine. Maybe he got Mystique somewhere with him and she could be the Horsemen of Pestilence.
Or Storm could of just took them all to Wakanda and her and T'Challa gonna fall in love and have a baby lol

One thing I noticed is that the Cable in this season never mentioned Apocalypse. What if the Cable we have seen since thhe original series hasn't always been the same one. They stopped Bastion's utopia from forming, which paved the way for Apocalypse. So the ruturw Nathan has ended up in has changed from Days of Future Past future to Age of Apocalypse future.

When I saw skip credits my whole body jumpeddd up and screamed “we have a post credit sceneeeee” 😂 I love this show, but I hate that everyone’s like Gambit will come back as the horseman of Death and I’m like nahhhhh mate he will return through Krakoa, then Apocalypse sits where he died, picks up his card, and empathises the word death 👀😂 so yeah maybe he will be the horseman of death 😅

You should check out Kamen Rider Build, which has a similar origin for a character as to Bastion. In Kamen Rider the future goo crawls up a woman hoo hoo, and the lady conceives a baby with a man, yet the baby is born with future techno abilities
When he says to storm about appealing to his humanity I thought that was them calling it out, but no they did it anyway 🤦🏽♂️ the landing stuck a little but not quite what I expected, will be interesting to see how the Xmen being back in time affects Apocalypse in the future

To be fair, people who don't know xmen aren't going to spend their time watching this show. They would have checked out pretty early on or never started at all. I am a fan, and for the people or back story I don't know, I watch shows like this to explain things to me and thats all I need.
I don’t think they pulled off the Bastion finale as well, I was like wait that’s it? They thought they could give us cameos all over along with the return of phoenix and we would accept this ? I’m with Jess, I hated how they actually tried to reason with him, he even says it, I massacre you people or something like that and you recruit me? I was waiting for all of them to hit him with that cliche team blast where all their powers just end him completely
