Every time I see Coy I literally think like a football fan being like yeah Massachusetts! I know Conan is from MA, but he made fun of Worcester on the Daily show, so Coy is now the more famous Redhead from MA 😅 Love the show guys!
Didn't Beau suggest watching the Star Trek: TNG episode "Cause and Effect"? That's all about being stuck in a time loop. Maybe that's why Bishop "lost" Cable as a baby and we haven't seen him since. He's been stuck in a time loop that's going to intersect with the finale.
The funny part of Xmen 97 giving a shoutout to Harmony, PA is, I used to live next to that very town and the local lore of the town is that it is named Harmony now because it used to be called Murdertown and they changed the name to lower the crime rate. Which strangely worked. But now I will never think of Harmony the same again after seeing it taken over by prime sentinels.
in the comics, wolverine didn't go feral right after the adamantium was ripped out; he went feral after Genesis tried to forcibly re-bond it to him and failed. So we don't have to go into the feral storyline right away.
I was hoping someone brought this up. Wolverine had a few issues where he was re-learning how to fight and be himself without the adamantium, and at one point his claws break and that does give him some trauma. But then a while later, as you say, Genesis tries to reinject adamantium into him and shit hits the fan. I'm not the biggest fan of that version of feral Wolverine, at least at the very beginning (also cannot remember how he returns to a more "normal" state, did the artists get tired of that design and slowly reversed it?)
Bone claws have been around since 1993, so 19 years after his introduction, and he's had them for 31 years since. Also, just because he was turned into a weapon, doesn't mean they need to add weapons to his body. That makes sense, sure, but so does Wolvie naturally having retractable claws to go along with his other bestial traits.
Wolverine naturally has normal human durability and strength. If it looses a limb he is out of comission for a week regrowing. Adamantium makes him the perfect soldier, the extra weight forces his muscles to rapidly grow faster to compensate giving him super strength and he is impossible to seriously injure or incapacitate.
Wolverine has more than peak human strength regardless of the adamantium. He has super human senses and reflexes. He’s not Spider-Man or Hulk levels of strong but it’s more than peak human. It makes sense that he already had the claws as part of his mutation. He had his memory wiped and brainwashed with fake implanted memories that mix and contradict his real memories. They took a natural alpha predator that occurred by natural mutation and gave him near indestructible bones and turned him into a puppet. I’d say that counts as making him a weapon.
@jaynecobb8356 he never popped them during his adventures before weapon x during Sabertooth killing his girlfriend silver fox because it was presumed the claws were something his gloves produced but maybe that's a corrupted memory implanted in him
Nightcrawler can teleport anywhere, he CHOOSES to teleport only where he can see simply because his spatial awareness ESP is limited and he doesn’t want to teleport somewhere and end up materializing into a solid object. He can teleport further and easier north to south than east to west, it think it has something to do with the magnetic poles and the brimstone dimension
Counterpoint; Wolverine having both healing and bone claws is no less disconnected than Emma Frost having both telepathy and diamond form. So it’s not like he’s the only mutant with 2 powers. Even Cable’s attack used both telekinesis and concussive blast.
Yeah I don’t see why secondary mutations have to exclusively be tied to the first one. I’d argue that their powers are actually quite complementary. Between her Telepathy and her Diamond armor Emma is quite shielded from most mental and physical attacks. Wolverine’s claws are just examples of naturally occurring tools for predators. His heightened senses, reflexes, mobility and strength complement them and his healing factor quite nicely in my opinion
There are a lot of Mutants with more than one ability and they all had no second mutation: - Jean Grey/Madelyne Pryor, Cable and Psylocke have all Telepathy and Telekinetic powers. - Pixie has wings and can teleport. - Leech can only absorb mutant powers, but I doubt, than he need green skin for this. - Legion possess more than than 2 abilities. He has a split personality and when he were first introduced, he had only 3 personalities. Each of his personality has a different power. Nowerdays he has more than 3 personalities.
its not the same though. Some mutants as people here already mentioned have multiple abilities like Wolverine, Jean Grey, Pixie. Emma Frost gained her second power years later and not many mutants have those true "secondary mutations". Its only that many mutants gained already many powers due to their first mutation. So what Im basically saying 1 mutation =/= 1 power.
They can continue the Weapon X plot for Wolverine to get his adamantium back. And they can introduce X-23, Weapon X can send her to capture Logan. Nightcrawler does not need line of sight to teleport in the show. If Bastion wins, he can convince the humans to use mutants as slave labor to repair the damage Magneto caused and most people would probably support him to get the power turned back on. When Cable showed Bastion's future, you see Polaris using her powers on the earth's magnetic field. So Magneto must have EMP'd the planet in Bastion's timeline too and they used Polaris to restore the earth's magnetic field.
As far as Wolverine after losing his adamantium...I remember an in story point of saying the feral "no nose" Wolverine was just a further mutation he'd have naturally undergone but the adamantium held it back. Now maybe they changed this later but I clearly recall that idiotic point being made, and...on the topic of it being revealed that Wolverine had bone claws... Yes, if you were making a mind-controlled mutant into a weapon you might give him claws, but why claws over other things you could give him? Wolverine's skeleton was covered in adamantium and this was the always repeated description of him...him having bone claws is just an extension of 'they covered his bones'. Yes, at the time, before the bone claws reveal, it could have gone either way (story wise) what do you get with a Wolverine who has no claws? What...give him a sword? Wolverine without claws is taking away part of the character.
I believe that It will either end with: Teams Gold and Blue Jeans school for gifted youngsters, leaving Scott. Cyclops becoming a villain and having his own team. Wolverine definitely going ferral, leading the x men (wolverine and the x men) or he could also have his own school for gifted youngsters like jean but separate.
5:15 I don't know why these guys are so hung up on the idea that Magneto is this conniving evil mastermind and opportunist. MAGNETO HAS NOT BEEN A VILLAIN FOR ALMOST 2 DECADES!
with the bone claws friendly debate - I don't really see why some are opposed to the bone claws when Marrow's mutant power is to produce weapons made of bones. Plus when they took the adamantium from Logan they still had to give him defensive weapon/ signature. Those claws protruding from his hands are signature.
I never looked at wolverine as just a healer. I have always looked at him as a mutant with visible mutation. His sense of smell and heightened awareness makes him more animal like as well. Then his healing on top of that. He's more of a beast than man. Then THAT was turned into a weapon. They tried to remove the man from the beast. So I've always loved the idea of the bone claws.
My rationalization of the bone claws is that the adamantium has to be molecularly bound to Logan's bones in order to not be rejected by his body. I know his healing factor isn't portrayed consistently but it has been shown his body can reject bullets if they are lodged in his body. Plus he has other animalistic features and abilities so claws aren't any more ridiculous than having extremely heightened senses with human facial features.
I love how they showed how powerful Cable is as a telepath because I feel its been underutilized, and they really seem like they depowered him a lot in the Deadpool movies which I thought was lame. Love Cable.❤
I think next season Wolverine comes back with those detachable metal claws that featured in the earlier season with Captain America! Side note I’m glad I’m not the only one that heard the fart after the threading joke 😂
Hear me out. Sinister said to Jean, I needed you to bring it here. I think he has a way to control the Phoenix. The next season will be a combination of Schism and Avengers vs X-Men. @@JJ-tq5sk maybe. I just re-watched the scene. He said I was waiting for you to bring me what I want. It just seems he's using Cable to unleash the Phoenix force. I was wondering if he was going to use some of it's power to resurrect Apocalypse or my other theory.
Whoever was the Phoenix, was also dark phoenix, since the Phoenix never left her body. She hung around in the sun, and came back to Earth. The best time Jean could have been replaced, was when sinister grabbed her and had to deliver her to Apocalypse. He probably made himself a copy and later switched them...
Nightcrawler - yes, to the bit from X2. In Pryde Of The X-Men (non canon, yeah?) it's mentioned that Nightcrawler has mastered the art of 'line of sight teleportation'. I remember a point during the Claremont/Byrne run where the X-Men were on a boat off the coast of Japan and Nightcrawler teleported to dry land when they could only see the island as a small, far off bit of land. That said...maybe X-Men 97 is tweaking Kurt's powers... When Wolverine was holding onto the Prime Sentinel when Kurt bamfed the animation almost made it look like a tunnel through physical space, a very limited wormhole, where he pops in on one end and out on the other. You guys should ask the writers!
Im suprised people want it to be "same wolverine as something else we already got". Its clear it can just be is own new wolverine and thats it. + even if it is some already known Wolverine -> its VARIANT OF HIM. Not actual one. By the very fricking definition. Just like villains in no way home were not exactly the same ones. I feel like people dont watch these movies at all.
Something is up with Magneto. The blast that killed Leech was supposed to kill him. After the blast the Sentinel considers Magento neutralized/dead. If the story was JUST that Magneto survived but Leech didn't...how did the Sentinel lose him? What happened while Bastion had Magneto collared and shaved him? Yes, you could say that Bastion wouldn't have had his Mom 'dying' as part of his plan but who's to say he didn't see her as a necessary loss in reaching the goal of establishing the future Cable described to the X-Men? I think something will be revealed in the last episode of the season concerning Bastion and Magneto. Also...I think we're getting a cliffhanger OR an ending that seems fairly final but is REALLY bad in some way...
I don't know why people think Onslaught is coming next week. There will be no reveal until season 2 episode 5. Also, Wolverine doesn't go feral when he loses the adamantium, he went feral when an the first attempt by Exodus to put adamantium back in him fails
Season 2 to be part Messiah Complex (plus Avengers v X-Men), and Onslaught, and Age of Apocalypse, and New Mutants, and Morrison’s X-Men. Come back to me in two years.
I think teleportation across any distance does not equate to weariness for Nightcrawler, but perhaps the amount of teleporting he does. Somewhere, maybe in X-Men Evolution, he talked about a time he was stranded over an ocean and could only teleport as far as he could see, so he teleported over and over and over until he reached land and recounted being exhausted. Huh, that's weird. Why didn't he just teleport to a familiar place, say maybe, 50 feet above it, enough time to scope a landing spot. Maybe he has to know where he is to gauge teleportation plans.
Jumper was insane because he could look at a photo and jump to the location. Thats how he got into the bank and on the pyramids. If I remember right i think he carried places on cards to jump to
The cynical energy towards Magneto is wild. He thought his closest friend died. Something like that can genuinely make someone change their ways and a genocide and being captured/tortured/betrayed can make him change back
Same. I understand some cynicism but it irritates the fuck outta me when people say he let Storm get hit by that blast. He’s shown the utmost respect for her always.
Don't know if it was said, but teleporting accounts for earth rotation/orbit by making it a teleport relative to their location instead of a fixed point.
I have tried the first episodes of the Thor and Loki 5k training and the X-men adventure since Bruce were free…this code was the perfect excuse to unlock the rest.
I still don't understand why Kurt didn't open the fight by bamfing to Magnus and swiping the helmet right off at the start, it shouldn't have had to be Wolverine to rip the helmet off of Magneto...
Morph/Juggernaut - Morph transforms into a strong character that looks like Juggernaut, no need to bring the gem of Cytorrak (did I spell it right?) into it. Think of it as Morph taking on the form of Iron Man...he would look like Iron Man and could fly as well as shoot energy beams though they wouldn't strictly be repulsor beams.
There are bamf creatures that allow Kurt to teleport anywhere . At first he could only teleport to places he’s seen or been. When he discovers the bamf creatures their assistance opens his spacial awareness. The bamf creatures resemble night crawler physically but they are much smaller in stature so Kurt sees them as his little brothers.
I think that Bastions mother is in favt dead because she had mentioned that she was sick and that he saved her. I assumed that she did die but only because the nanites were the only thing keeping her alive. I would also assume that unless the nanites were the only thing keeping you alive that you'd be fine. Beast even said that there is a hidden humanity in them all which sort of hints that they're still there to me.
I think with Jean and madilyn out that the pheniox would rebirth and would start off AvX. At least that's my hope. But good feeling Jean is not dead. Also is it clear that everyone who was in the series finally knew that prof x was not dead or did he just stop contact and that's why they thought he was dead?
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought it was established in the show that Apocalypse needs mutants alive in order to turn mutants into an his horsemen. If that happens in the comics that's one thing but that's how its established into yhe show.
Lingering Question.... in episode 8 Jubliee and Sunspot was escorted out by the prime sentinels in collars. How did they get free AND lose the prime sentinels, just to meet the mob of FOH in episode 9?
Magneto's EMP from episode 8, reversed the polarity emanated by the collars. The PD's systems shut down, they obviously escaped jail as they were on the street level. Not exactly a hard question 😂
@@murk4552it’s not a hard question but why not show it tho? It is poor to have them in collars and cuffs one second and the very next just them running in the street from FOH
It was a very strange theory that I thought didn't make sense. TAS is it's own thing and the movies are their own thing. In Dr. Strange MoM we saw there are animated worlds so you can connect them that way maybe if you want. Sadly, what Coy said, I think is true for Wolverine. Wolverine will be off on his own. The show runner said they wanted to keep the focus off of Wolverine, and most of the show they had him doing nothing in the mansion which was annoying. This way, they give that awesome "oh shit" moment and then write him off and no longer need to even worry about how to use him. If they gave us a solo show with Wolverine, like how the comics have a solo book, then I'd be totally ok with that, but if they just write him off I don't know. I'll be pretty sad. I totally disagree with Coy though. Bone claws are bad ass. It was also sort of hinted at in Weapon X, which sure they may not have intended it, if you read it now, it is sort of an "ah ha" moment. I hope they keep that in the show.
Morph also changed into Spiral and from what I think I know of her, which isn’t much, she’s not a mutant? Also I don’t think it was established that Morph can only change into mutants 😅 especially after we just saw him turn into the Hulk
What if Magneto did die on Genosha and Apocalypse is pretending to be Magneto and Valerie Cooper is actually Mystique and the post credit scene of the finale will show them both dig up Gambit's grave in New Orleans and raise him as his 4th horseman, Death? He has the abilities to pull it off. That might be why they keep showing Apocalypse in the show intros so much. Also, I think the creators are hinting at Phoenix returning for season 2 in Xmen 97, the introduction of Onslaught and Apocalypse as the 3 baddies like this season Sinister, Bastion and Magneto are the main villians.
One thing I don’t understand about Magneto. Don’t get me wrong I agree with him. But it wasn’t humanity that attacked Genosha, it was Bastion. So why he pissed at humanity?
@@Mjsports3730 Yea and he made peace with humanity. Saving people, turning himself in, playing by their rules. Then Bastion (not humanity) attacks Genosha, and then Magneto blames humanity for Bastion’s actions. So tell me what part I left out
@@ayezoop884I think he believes the US government was in on the bombing with Genosha. We see Valerie Cooper was cooperating with Bastion, but she swears up and down to Magneto that she didn’t know he was planning to destroy Genosha.
@@ayezoop884 Magneto was TRYING to walk Xavier’s path but it didn’t work. If you have seen, read, or watched ANYTHING with magneto you would understand exactly why he doesn’t like humanity. It was a joke, since that scene was the only time we saw anything close to the blue and yellow suit. But since it was a deleted scene completely different from the canon ending you could argue it’s a different timeline that got pruned

Nightcrawler can only teleport in his line of sight and a series of jumps. He can’t teleport directly over ocean or would be a series and he could get exhausted he couldn’t make that move.
Mystique was more apocalypse's servant in the og series. And was another character that was put more into the spotlight in the live action movies for sex appeal i guess or singer had some weird fetishes. And i guess her powers are easy for cgi artists hahaha.
People really want x-men the animated series to be the mcu x-men. The x-men animated series should be is own thing and should not be the mcu x-men. I like x-men the animated series but that doesn't mean it should be the main mcu x-men.
I’ve been waiting all dam season to see these two in this new style, that’s why I was hyped when Quicksilver showed up but then it was Morph 😅 When they mention the avengers getting involved I just kept thinking are we going to see the twins, and I love how they ignored the stupid retcon with mystique and nightcrawler so hopefully they do that with these two

Season 2 to be part Messiah Complex (plus Avengers v X-Men), and Onslaught, and Age of Apocalypse, and New Mutants, and Morrison’s X-Men.
Come back to me in two years.
NOT MY MOM!
Brandonnnn! LFG! Ahaha 🙈🤣
33:49 this is what Marvel’s all about 😭😭
I think teleportation across any distance does not equate to weariness for Nightcrawler, but perhaps the amount of teleporting he does.
I believe that happened in Wolverine and The Xmen but yea, Kurt's teleportation does have some limitations
Brandon is getting the Danger Room confused with the Holodeck
This series shows people love when hope is dead.
C'mon. Apocalypse teaser with Leech, Goblin Queen, Gambit and Wolverine as the 4 would be insane.
Jumper was insane because he could look at a photo and jump to the location. Thats how he got into the bank and on the pyramids. If I remember right i think he carried places on cards to jump to
Sick panel, reminds me of early days of BR
The cynical energy towards Magneto is wild. He thought his closest friend died. Something like that can genuinely make someone change their ways and a genocide and being captured/tortured/betrayed can make him change back
Same. I understand some cynicism but it irritates the fuck outta me when people say he let Storm get hit by that blast. He’s shown the utmost respect for her always.
I agree with the prospect of Cable traveling further back to attempt a reset as a possibility. Like all the way back to 92.
It's too soon for Onslaught! Maybe next season would be great! 😎👍🏼
Don't know if it was said, but teleporting accounts for earth rotation/orbit by making it a teleport relative to their location instead of a fixed point.
I definitely respect Coy’s opinions, he knows way more than I do, but I heavily disagree regarding the bone claws
I have tried the first episodes of the Thor and Loki 5k training and the X-men adventure since Bruce were free…this code was the perfect excuse to unlock the rest.
1600 jumps for Kurt to teleport from NY to Scotland. He can travel 2 miles per jump
I still don't understand why Kurt didn't open the fight by bamfing to Magnus and swiping the helmet right off at the start, it shouldn't have had to be Wolverine to rip the helmet off of Magneto...
Jumper should have been a franchise!
Things are going to get really good ❤️😮😱🤯🤨
Love from Belgium 🇧🇪 ❤ Coy ❤
There are bamf creatures that allow Kurt to teleport anywhere . At first he could only teleport to places he’s seen or been. When he discovers the bamf creatures their assistance opens his spacial awareness. The bamf creatures resemble night crawler physically but they are much smaller in stature so Kurt sees them as his little brothers.
That’s what they are 😂
@@J.O.R.D huh?
I think that Bastions mother is in favt dead because she had mentioned that she was sick and that he saved her. I assumed that she did die but only because the nanites were the only thing keeping her alive. I would also assume that unless the nanites were the only thing keeping you alive that you'd be fine. Beast even said that there is a hidden humanity in them all which sort of hints that they're still there to me.
6:06 as a simple humie,
that’s not right 😅
I buy your comics MUTANTS 😂
Magneto was on full crashout timing and Chuck just wanted to talk
I think with Jean and madilyn out that the pheniox would rebirth and would start off AvX. At least that's my hope. But good feeling Jean is not dead. Also is it clear that everyone who was in the series finally knew that prof x was not dead or did he just stop contact and that's why they thought he was dead?
Bangarang Hook ref, Brandon!!!!
Coy!!!
Technically you have metals in all of us, like Iron, one can say we all are IronPeople
Correct me if I am wrong, but I thought it was established in the show that Apocalypse needs mutants alive in order to turn mutants into an his horsemen.
If that happens in the comics that's one thing but that's how its established into yhe show.
Is it fair to say Xavier and Magneto are like Jack and Locke from LOST and Bastion and Mr. Sinister and like the Man in Black and Widmore.
The danger room delivery simulation
Missing the set up for a potential time loop.
Morph also changed into Spiral and from what I think I know of her, which isn’t much, she’s not a mutant?
Also I don’t think it was established that Morph can only change into mutants 😅 especially after we just saw him turn into the Hulk
I think Spiral is a mutant and so Shatter Star and Long Shot!!!
@@sanitizerwilson1599ohh okay, fair enough, isn’t her story something about going back in time to create her origin or something like that ?
Nightcrawler's limit in a single jump was 2 miles in the pride of the x-men, which i know isn't canon since wolverine was Australian lol
Bastion attacked genosha with the help of a handful of human villains. Magneto is def in over kill mode.
THAT WOULD BE CRAZY! Although where is Cortez's body?
Shameless version of professor X😭 at first I’m like wtf is he talking about and then it just clicked 😂
One thing I don’t understand about Magneto. Don’t get me wrong I agree with him. But it wasn’t humanity that attacked Genosha, it was Bastion. So why he pissed at humanity?
Have you been paying attention at all
@@Mjsports3730 Yea and he made peace with humanity.
@@ayezoop884 Literally anything that happened before that
@@ayezoop884 Magneto was TRYING to walk Xavier’s path but it didn’t work. If you have seen, read, or watched ANYTHING with magneto you would understand exactly why he doesn’t like humanity. Especially if you even understand his origin. Who made the sentinels, humans. Who formed mobs during magneto’s court trial, humans. Who volunteered to be prime sentinels, HUMANS.
theres an episode in wolverine and the x-men when nightcrawler has to do a series of jumps from genosha to the x mansion
Nearly kills him too. Pretty bad ass despite how unintentionally hilariously fruitless that endeavor ends up being. 😂
I dont know why but i remember Nightcrawler had a 2 mile limit. Am i nuts?
Mystique will morph to put the clip on Baston
A friend of mine was theorizing that Mystique is Morph and the real Morph is actually Dead.
Damn, i know we thinking onslaught and heroes reborn, but what if the dr doom and zemo, spiderman and hulk cameos amount to a house of m season 2?
Guys it’s pretty clear Hugh is playing the Logan from the Wolverine deleted scene
That’s the same Wolverine from the regular X-men timeline. He won’t be playing that version
It was a joke, since that scene was the only time we saw anything close to the blue and yellow suit. But since it was a deleted scene completely different from the canon ending you could argue it’s a different timeline that got pruned

Someone farted at the end... LOL
Magneto said you should have aimed for the Head
I think I just saw a clip of Brandon with short hair in a sketch with Scott Auckerman about vhs tapes? Can someone confirm this for me please?
Cable has been weird towards jean considering she's entirely his mother apart from the physically giving birth. Even if he doesn't wanna consider her his mum she's atleast like an aunt (like your mum's twin basically) but even closer
Because she didn’t give birth to him 😂 it’s not weird it’s normal to be like, you’re not actually my mum
@@J.O.R.D stepmums literally exist and considering she's got the memories and feelings she's even closer than a step mum. But even not she's atleast an aunt then
Nightcrawler can only teleport in his line of sight and a series of jumps. He can’t teleport directly over ocean or would be a series and he could get exhausted he couldn’t make that move.
He went from Genosha to the X Mansion in WatXM in a series of jumps. And passed out once he made it back. Dude was exhausted.
We get white phoenix of the crown next season
Blink can teleport further than nightcrawler
First of all the height:Cal Dodard's Wolveri is shorter whereas Hugh Jackman's Wolverine is taller!
i think Mustique is the president
that would be a surprise
39:45
Mystique was more apocalypse's servant in the og series. And was another character that was put more into the spotlight in the live action movies for sex appeal i guess or singer had some weird fetishes. And i guess her powers are easy for cgi artists hahaha.
People really want x-men the animated series to be the mcu x-men. The x-men animated series should be is own thing and should not be the mcu x-men. I like x-men the animated series but that doesn't mean it should be the main mcu x-men.
I think Scarlett Witch & Quicksilver should come back to slow down Magneto
I’ve been waiting all dam season to see these two in this new style, that’s why I was hyped when Quicksilver showed up but then it was Morph 😅 When they mention the avengers getting involved I just kept thinking are we going to see the twins, and I love how they ignored the stupid retcon with mystique and nightcrawler so hopefully they do that with these two
What if the events of the finale wolverines actions cause the end of the entire xmen as a variant version of Deadpool and Wolverine story
