Don't waste high tier zombies on porter spots. It doesn't matter their quality. They will move and deliver stuff at the same speed no matter how many white skulls they have.
Don't use sticks for fuel. Especially if you are trying to max your graveyard.
Don't make mausoleum (2:35 building with gold) for your graveyard. They give 20 per but you can get more with lawns and they are much easier to make.
Make sure to upgrade you well as soon as possible. You can get up to 500 water without needing to use any energy.

0:50 uhh no. Just repair them, the whetstones aren't a one time use item, in fact I've lost count how many times I've used them but i can safely say even without beelining for it I've unlocked, broke, and repaired the rusty, iron and steel tools multiple times over before the whetstone needs replacing

Honestly, I think it depends on your play style and when you unlock zombies. That is, if you have them. They are in the base game on Steam, but console versions have to buy the dlcs. There were players on Reddit who ran out of their whetstone on their basics tools and couldn't afford to buy another one.
Personally, I saved my stone for my upgraded tools. By then, I could afford another one if needed.

Remember to bake and eat a cake before studying items. It’s relatively cheap and increases the number of tech points you receive.
Remove gravestones and grave fences from your finished graves temporarily to study them for easy blue points.
Crafting low tier gravestones that cost 2 stone generates about 5 blue points. The gravestone can then be deconstructed back to a single stone brick. It’s grindy but a good way to farm blue points if you need to.
The quality of your fishing rod influences which fish will bite. If you speed through to get the best rod early it is easy to miss being able to catch low level fish. Like frogs down the line in Ms Charm’s quest. Once you have a fisherman’s bag keep the good and excellent rods in it to swap between.
If you have the Better Save Soul DLC you can use Sin Shards to augment the quality of organs. You can use this to really buff up your zombies. You can only augment six organs: skin, flesh, heart, intestines, brain and blood. Each can have three white skulls added to it, meaning you can get +18 on top of the body’s natural purity and embalming bonuses. Super zombies!
Conversely, the quality of a zombie has no effect on its movement speed or carrying capacity. Porters can be any old body. Save the good bodies for important work.

Great tips! Since the switch version doesn't have Better Save Soul, I never got to play with it.

Don't bother with the cakes. They only give 1-2 bonus points. It's not worth the time or effort to make them.

@ I guess it depends on your play style. I never made cakes to be honest.

My biggest tip would be being aware that this game is a major grind fest, whilst the satisfaction is there at the late game, it feels likes a non-stop early game of Factorio of you building and doing everything yourself. Be weary of this factor, if this is your type of game, go for it, there's no major time requirements for completing tasks just restriction of when certain events can occur.
Also, don't be afraid of using the wiki, this game barely explains any of its mechanics nor does it offer a in game guide in case you forget previous knowledge.

Exactly! This is why it took me 3 tries to finally beat it.
