The issue is at 0:35, if the opponent decides to ignore the knight, and moves their knight back to cover the space in front of the queen, that will screw up your entire strategy.
Or if they Move the bishop to d7, blocking off the queen.
Or they move pawn at g7 up one, blocking the eventual bishop, with a pawn supported with another pawn.
Or the enemy thinks of sacrificing their own bishop at c8, moving it to e6, enticing the knight to kill it, instead of the pawn at f7, and if they don't go for the bishop then, then the bishop can take the knight after it kills the pawn, keeping the king quite safe.
Your entire strategy is based on the pawn at h7 moving. If it doesn't move, and they move many other pieces instead, then it ruins your strategy.
Otherwise a cool thing, will have to try it out sometime.

I feel personally offended by this video and the comment section in general. As a professional chess player, I can guarantee you that no one over 500 elo will fall for this dumb trick. Anyone that's "quite skilled at this game" will see Kxf7 and won't play h6, as the knight isn't really doing anything there and it violates the basic knowledge of developing your pieces. Even if someone did play h6, no one with more than 20 seconds in the clock would take the knight. The only scenario I can see this working is in a 500 elo (or less) bullet game.

Which is essentially like 2% chance to happen even when you're in that sweet spot of the best chances for this to happen because black can make so many other moves that change things up and requires white to improvise (even if they get a lead)

You're probably just thinking of the fork attack by the knight (or specifically queen-rook forks). That is very common. This just uses _a_ knight fork, but it is not _the_ strategy/opening being used here. Pretty much nobody -whether they know chess or are clueless about chess- play this sort of opening. It's far from good and it's far from brainless, and there's no reason for people in-between to play it either unless they specifically had this strategy in mind.

    1. play against a bot in another tab
    2. set it to insane or the highest difficulty
    3. copy your opponents move with your own chess pieces in the other tab playing against the bot
    4. when the bot responds with their own move, copy that move on the tab with the human opponent

Long before ICBMs even existed, this was called the Tennison gambit

  • @jimkarlos2289
    @jimkarlos2289 2 месяца назад

    Friendly tip:
After the gambit, if the opponent moves pawn e7, they prepare the dark square bishop for a check at b4. That move also activates the opponent's rook, that now threatens the queen, turning the gambit into a huge disadvantage.
    Solution:
After queen takes queen, if the opponent moves pawn e7, your queen should take the opponent's b7 pawn. That way your queen guards the b column, removing the bishop threat.
Alternatively, you can move your king to f1. However, you lose castling.
    Happy elo climbing 😊

Ive won a handful of games based on this strategy (that I didn’t know was an officially, named move set) where I find an opening in my opponent’s defence and load one or both of my rooks up in front of my queen. When the chamber is loaded, I send one after the other. Typically, the first rook is taken as a response, only for the second rook to respond. When or if they take the second rook, the queen is the decisive piece that garners the checkmate.
The set up is always a gamble as it has to been done subtly enough for the opponent not to notice, therefore it can take upwards of 5-10 moves to “load the chamber”.

I have a strategy I do and it works basically every time… I have not found someone competent enough to counter it. It’s really easy to counter and because I do it at the start of every game, I even straight up announce that I’m doing it… yet people still don’t defend themselves, or at least take advantage of my predictable set up.
What I’m saying is that I haven’t found anyone that would even be competent enough to let me use an ICBM on them
