If an artist like Pablo has to 'live of dry bread' to 'maybe' get the instrument he had to return, then clearly there's something wrong in the Gibsons endorsement department. They should thank the Lord Allmighty to have a player like Pablo promoting their overpriced, only obtainable for dentists and lawyers objects of investment.
There was something wrong, which is why Gibson replaced the CEO with JC. JC immediately gave him any instrument he wanted. He got the company back on track.
Great video! So what pots did you put in the LP? Linear taper pots? Inherently the “problem” with 8-10 being the sweet spot on an LP is the 50s wiring. The 50s wiring sounds better than modern to my ears, but the 8-10 sweep is not ideal. If you have a fix I would love to hear it. I always install top shelf CTS pots and the sweep is still very limited. Thanks!
He just gave you that LP? 😱 Wow something in the cosmos really likes you or you just are one lucky SOB!🤣 That is a sweet looking R9 and i am glad you got the one that hit home with you! Btw, i do not feel you did anything sacrilegious to it by swapping the pu's and pots. Those are pretty common things to swap out on a Re-issue. Guitars are very personal and it is rare to see one stay 100% stock from the factory.
So the Firebird has had basically every electrical component replaced, the bridge, a tremolo and the tuner pegs (which broke off!?), but “in essence it’s a stock guitar”. 😂
what a genuine guitarloving person underneath the stylish wannabe masquerade. making it actually non wannabe, and non masquerade. cheers dude. great tone! -must be some reincarnation of some guy...
If you get a chance to see these guys live, do it. Not only a great guitarist, but great songs, a great band and great showmanship.
Pablo van de Poel with DeWolff is one of greatest Rock bands ever. So much great songs and great musicians. Don’t miss them!
Really great guitarist in a truly great band. Fantastic liveband! 🤩
DeWolff have been among the best rockbands on earth for more than a decade - no clue why they aren't more popular
DeWolff is underrated as fxck! They're simply amazing.
Firebirds are my fav! Mine played really well.
The wraptail is actually stock on a fbIII
Such tasty licks! Great player, from a great band 👍
Didn’t know DeWolff was a band, thought the guy had a hell of a name!
He still does “Pablo van der Poel”. Cool
you sound great. all i can say.

I’d say most R9s remain stock
Which Throbak pickups are in the Les Paul?
Haha, yes indeed maybe Pablo could chip in…. DT102s maybe?
