@@jacobrubin217 FMC is basically a home pool for me, I love that warmup pool is warm bc then I can quickly dry off and throw on my parka pre race and I feel really warm
I'm going to go into mom mode here: everyone take a lesson from Cody: don't assume anything you may get sick from is COVID. Cody was smart to test right away, but my daughter assumed it was COVID when she fell ill (stomach problems) and it was something much more serious. She put off going to the hospital b/c of her wrong assumption and now, she's finally on the mend almost 2 months later. If you fall very ill, please get a COVID test done right away, it could save you from a lot of pain and frustation.

Glad you’re feeling better! We were there on Thursday and Saturday and definitely missed seeing you, but by an amazing stroke of luck we met Annie and Lilly on their way into prelims! My thirteen-year-old was so thrilled!

4:20 I can give a bit of insight so FMC was built in 2020 and first used in either October or November of 2020. And me being from Illinois I haven’t had the chance to swim there yet.

I went to this event and it was so much fun! I got to meet so many Olympians(Including Cody ❤️❤️) and soon to be Olympians. It was really something you need to experience. Thankyou for inspiring us ever day!

Hey Cody! The FMC was built about 3-4 years ago, so it’s pretty new. Too bad I wasn’t able to see you swim, I’m hoping TYR brings the series back to Westmont so that I can see you next time! I had a great time!

I got to come to the meet on Friday afternoon because I only live 15 minutes away, was sad I couldn't get to see you but it was so cool seeing Ledecky, Held, Dressel, and all the other swimmers compete. I got to swim in FMC's pool for many months with my club team during the pandemic and that place is amazing. Illinois is having high school state there the next like decade. Can't wait to see you if and when you guys come back!!

I was in west one for central zones and I’m from ND and we don’t have a lot of nice pools except Bismarck and Fargo.

Kids… they are germ monsters. So sorry you got hit. This meet was absolutely the highlight of the year so far. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU to all the people who thought of our fancy new facility, those who said yes, the volunteers that made it happen and especially the athletes for giving it a chance. The buzz this created will send shockwaves throughout the state for months. In over 40 years of swimming here I’ve never seen this much talent in one place. Sorry they didn’t drop the temp of the lap pool, did you get to feel the funny bottom? You are 100% correct, having two major airports so close and lots of places to stay this is great for elite athletes all over the world. Really hoping the ISL pays us a visit too!! But first…. IL masters state meet in a few weeks. :)

Crazy story! Just a few days ago I went to the biggest meet I have ever gone to and was seated fairly highly. We got to the meet, was feeling great, my first event went amazing! Then I gained a tiny bit of time on my 50 free. And then a few hours later I did the 100 breaststroke which is my best event. I dove in, my first split was a 37. A drop for me. Then my second 50 I was insanely more tired than I normally would be. I ended up gaining 2 seconds when at the last meet I had dropped 3 seconds. I ended up going a 1.23. I finished the race and was definitely upset about it. We were going home and my throat started really hurting. The next day I ended up having a fever over 101. So my sickness was definitely what made me drop time. Just thought it was funny that a very similar thing just happened to you! Half you’re feeling better!
