This is possibly one of the most cool/badass lighter hacks you will ever see. I think a good and challenging idea to add to the glove is a ring of LED's to indicate gas flow. This could also double as a safety feature when not in use. Light of, safe/ lights on, armed and ready. (Red lights ofcourse)

I’m actually going to try making this, but I’m going to slightly modify it. I love the design being small and portable, but I might make the lighting switch next to the thumb so you could start it up with only the one hand. And possibly make something less farmable that holds the actual flame projector(like the glue)

im gonna mix this, the electric glove, the smoke one, and the lazer for the ultimate gadget! B)
I like the idea but I doubt it will fit all in one glove. Also If you will make a electric glove you can take out the ignition in the bbq lighter and make the butane burn by going through the electric spark in the electric glove to save space on the glove. (Also in my opinion the laser is pretty useless if you have electricity and fire for damage ond something similar to freezing. Also the laser doesn't do much. Just saying)

Couple of Questions:
1) The fire seems to be spurting out other than the direction the hand is pointed in, is this normal? And how would you fix it to only throw fire where you point it? (e.g: Stop the gas leaks)
2) Is hotglue a good idea to use on a flamethrower..? Is there any substitute material I could use instead?

thanks. I have a similar flamethrower which is bulkier but has a larger flame and uses bigger gas canisters. I will try and implement the lighter shown here.

You should add a button either electronic or mechanical instead of the pull activation but still the best tutorial by far, we can expand upon this ourselves.

Can it be done with a skintone glove with transparent tubes to shoot the flamable liquids out so that it looks like you're able to shoot fire out of your hands?

I loved your videos!!! I just wanted to ask if u put anything inside the glove to prevent it from burning you. I showed this to my designing and engineering teacher he laughter at me and thought I couldn't do it so time to prove home wrong. Any tips on making this would be much appreciated.

If you are having trouble with the pressure use hot glue. Made one for my Tsuna cosplay and the tube would always pop off until I used hot glue.

Hey there, you just made my dream come true! I always wanted to make a wrist flamethrower and now I will.
Another suggestion would be:
When you pull out that sponge tube which restricts the gas flow, you can then fill up the lighter with some other liquids.
What can you do?
Make a pepper spray solution (mix chili powder with water, then filter the liquid, add something else to taste)
Fill half of the lighter with that solution using a syringe, then top the rest of it with butane. Bam, you have a wrist mounted pepper spray that you can use with a pull of a string.

What that how did you do it can you explain the steps and what you need to make this cool stuff.
ive been messing with lighters for a week. when i take apart the bbq lighter it stops working. idk why, maybe the arc isnt enough to get it to light. so i decided ill get a plasma lighter and work with that. until then, i tried making the fuel cell and i can't get the butane to go into the lighter after removing the air restriction tube.

@ Zyphar. Sadly , Neyedye was found deceased last week in his Dad's basement workshop . He apparently was burned over 50% of his body , the other 50% dying of hypothermia , in what authorities believe was a freak accident which they cannot explain . He was found amidst an odd assortment of gloves , BBQ lighters , wires , butane cans and a glue gun . He is survived by his loving parents and older brother and sister . He was only 4 paychecks past his 16th Birthday .
