@@AbhijotSingh-cs2uk they've seen a decline in build quality over the past 4 years, and their customer service is atrocious. Even if your machine needs repairs under warranty, they'll tell you that it's not covered.
@@AbhijotSingh-cs2uk Some people in US had warranty problems. It seems to be blown out of proportion. My personal experience with their warranty in Europe was excellent
Costco is selling the Vivobook with Snapdragon X Elite and 32GB for $1299, so hopefully returns are not an issue there. Also helps to purchase using a credit card that extends a laptops warranty.

Production quality went down, making of a mockery of "military grade". For example, hinges are only superglued together, c'mon now! Regardless of this issue, ASUS in the last two years has developed the habit of doing everything in their power to make your warranty void - including small scratches on the case as reason for consumer made damage. Issue is, they force you to remove the memory from the device before sending it in - which you should always do, but opening up (for example) an ASUS ROG handheld ain't that easy. You most probably will scratch it at the locker at the very least.
If that wasn't enough you got no way to communicate or challenge the claims during the checkup process. You must go on their social media, ridicule them publicly and hope for an answer.
Once done, you get extremely confusing letters with a badly written listing of the damage and additional repair costs for procedures you don't need and never requested to begin with.
Issue is, other companies are the exact same in this regard. ASUS is maybe more outrageous lately, which is worse 'cause they promised to solve this issue just last year... but Razer, ACER, MSI, Dell, HP and so on all handle warranty issues the same terribile way. :P
Wonder if this new Qualcomm chips will solve music creators problems that the wintel pc's throws or the Windows OS will still remain not perfectly optimized for music production

Agree! The cinematic ratio is the worst thing happened in PC computing by far. Add the icon bar, a status bar and you ended up with no space for content! A BS decision from PC vendors... just to be able to watch movies!?!? what a dumb decision. I use PC (and my colleagues) for work not as a TV!!

Well, it has integrated graphics as part of the Snapdragon X processor: 'Qualcomm Adreno GPU'.
Fun fact: 'Adreno' is an anagram of 'Radeon' (AMD), as the two companies have a history of collaborating on these graphics chips.

Uh. It’s already slower than M3 in single core and M4 is faster in multi-core and it’s the base M4. M4 pro and M4 Max is still coming. Microsoft OS looks fantastic now though. Intel is dead for sure on chip!

to summarize ASUS issue, their warranty service is scamming customers for unnecessary repair, and threat if you dont want to pay for the quoted repair, they either hold your product or send it back to you disassembled.
My personal experience here ATLEAST in malaysia, im currently working as customer service / technician in our I.T store. If you comparing laptop brands, HP and ASUS is the worst at RELIABILITY part. Lenovo always first placed for me. HP, ATLEAST due to volume of customers buying so you know that, but asus, everytime theres a warranty claim, no. 1 reason is always DEAD LAPTOP. Asus is famous for their dead on arrival motherboard in laptop and even their smartphones ( ROG and zenfone series ). Not to forget asus also overpriced.
Try using Google instead of spamming the comments on a RUclips video. Read the reviews before you buy their poorly built and poorly supported machines.
Basically if you send your device in for warranty repair they will try to charge you multiple hundreds of dollars for other unrelated "repairs" that are not related at all to your issue so they can get out of honoring their warranty, Gamer's nexus video has it covered.

It seems like they're trying to tell me something really exciting and important... but they are really bad at it. Side note: typing it on my Zenbook UX434FQ, had Zenbook UX32VD before -- never had any trouble with warranty. Because I never needed it.
We had up to 15 different Asus notebooks. No issue whatsoever. The only time we did have an issue was users fault, 2x! But we had Toshibas, HPs, Dells and also some Chuwis (extremely cheap Chinese notebook junk) and we had huge problems. Toshiba was particularly bad, ohh, not to mention DELL - Top shiiiiit (in a bad way of course).
Asus is reliable as always. Their warranty support in my country (Malaysia) is very good. Fast, efficient.

Immediate thoughts perhaps too clever by 1.75? Nothing on video and photographic editing. Graphics compatability? Max only 1Tb? Need far more info before considering further. Downwoods compatability? Worried about comments on guarantee. I had no problems returning a high spec ASUS when it overheated running even a short render of an HD video….

agree! For a serious productivity we need a "taller" display a 16:9 is an old shi**. What is needed is at least 16:10 or better. And with the bezel becoming thinner and thinner a 16" would be a proper size!
