- Gondwana Voices is Australia's internationally renowned children's choir for treble singers aged 10-16. Voices performs with Australia's leading music ensembles such as the Australian World Orchestra, tours internationally, performs at national events and records for ABC Classics.
This concert was filmed in January 2014 at the Concourse Concert Hall in Sydney. This concert is the culmination of a two week National Choral School, which includes Gondwana's other choirs and offers an intensive two weeks of rehearsals, performances and workshops with the leading figures in Australian choral music.

Their blend is better than so many of the adult choirs I've seen. Their vowels are BEAUTIFULLY in sync, and the flaws, if any, are small and few. I'm very impressed.

seinesalz it's...definitely not that great. Their lower tones are almost non-existent, I feel like I'm only hearing the top half of the song. The rich bass in this song is what makes it so rounded and full. The chorus is a little better when they get around to it, but still.

Sage Elison yeah, you're right. Rereading my comment was definitely too harsh lol, also what I just realized too is that probably the camera is making them sound way worse than they probably actually do within that venue, recording devices always distort it for the worse :(

This choir has one of the best alto sections I've ever heard. This was definitely the best choir I've heard sing this song. One of my favorite songs- not sung by choir- but sounds gorgeous like this as well!

yeah, other covers use auto tune because its too difficult to layer their voice. sadness = 100%
There's other vocal repertoire composed for way more parts with far more complex harmonies than this song. Plenty of vocal ensembles pull them off thanks to classical training.
I agree that plenty of covers DO use Autotune or similar, but I'd like to point out that the original song uses a Vocoder. That's the sound that covers are trying to simulate, I'm sure.

Damn. Your criticisms are invalid. Tuning and balancing these dense chords would be difficult for a professional adult choir, but kids? And to do so with such obvious investment and passion? Jesus H.
I find fault more in the rhythm. The conductor should listen to the actual song more - I find more pleasing when it's more true to Imogen Heap rather than what the score says. It's choppy, rushed, and unbalanced. Easy fix - get the students to read the conductors hands, whilst that being said, he should have more ebb and flow; less robotic schemes.
These aren't just "kids". They're an internationally renowned treble choir. Plus, the majority of varsity (even state, nationally, and internationally) accomplished high school choirs range from just thirteen to eighteen, generally.

john doe just because you listen you the song a million times doesn’t imply you understand it. If you don’t understand it, listen to it more. There is no “oh I listened to it 50 times, therefore everything I choose to do with this song is right” you’re under the impression hard work = perfection when in fact, you can work your ass off and still be inaccurate.

I don't think you really got the chords right. Or maybe it's just that some parts were a little too loud.. But the chords didn't feel as wide as they do in the original. Still a huge accomplishment!
Hey you made this comment two years ago but whatever. there are no bass voices in this arrangement so thats why it lacks depth. The deep low notes really give the song impact that is just missing here unfortunatly
it's cus they're some kids no one in that choir has close to a tenor or bass voice
