Imogen is so quirky, down to earth, creative, and highly intelligent. I love her!
How is she quirky
@@Lethallime1234 quirky doesn't mean a negative thing, it just means having a unique energy around you that strikes you as different- as they said, in a creative and intelligent sort of way!
She reminds me of someone who thinks faster than she can talk. Not a bad thing.
I love listening to her explain stuff. She gets lost in thought and starts rambling. I can really relate 😊
I do the exact same thing. I can relate to your statement
so do I and I never understood why some people hate it lol..to me it's just part of explaining
she is just straight up a brilliant woman, and i love getting to watch her raw mind process in real time her own thinking process and explain in her own words why her music is so great.
My brother bought me Hide and Seek back in the day for my Birthday. Blew my mind. Always great to hear music that's got a different angle. Iconic album it came off for me. Can believe it's 18 years ago.
Unequivocally, without question, peerless, and my favourite female artist of all time.
Well said
Bjork is a peer
@@vicetube I'm a huge fan of both, but I don't hear any Bjork in Imogen.
@@fl00d69 Sorry for the lack of clarity. They do have different sonic signatures, true.
Bjork is a peer in caliber.
@@vicetube Maybe in terms of general success and uh... 'innovation'. I concede.
But guess who I've clocked more hours listening to by far...? 😁
Imogen is a legend and hero to all her loving fans. She inspires me to never be afraid to reach out into the abstract, and make something of it.
The part about the breath (around 3:00) is a big part of what makes the track so, well, breathtaking. The whole track feels like a wall of desperate churning - until the end. I think that’s what makes the end so compelling, it’s precise, simple, delicate straight-ahead, total whiplash after the swelling intensity of everything that came before.
I’m so grateful this interview happened & was uploaded- thank you! I love getting a chance to look into the artists mind, the how & why of their true intention. We as fans imagine up so much and paint songs with our own memories, but it’s invaluable to hear where our faves truly came from ❤️
Imogen Heap and Trent Reznor needs to collaborate.
Oooh that would be ethereal and spooky
That would be super cool.
A collab with Steven Wilson would be dope too!!
@@BTBAM819omg I'd love that! I'm sure steven loves imogens work so who knows, maybe that'll happen someday.
she's the best vocalist ever
Imogen is a music legend
i am genuinely in love w the human being that Imogen is
we live in the imogen heap universe
She is a true artist and so true to herself. An inspiration.
I've never been a big fan of electronic / computer flavored tunes but have always loved Laurie Anderson's music.... and now Imogen Heap's!
her zach braff show version is my ultimate favorite version, maybe even better than the studio version
Wonderful 💖 now I’m gonna listen to the song again to hear the train, cooking, and ice cream van
I love how matter of fact she is about it, just like the song! Edit: Would love to hear a major version too
Great interview (she's always thoughtful and worth listening to). What a loverly (inside and out), intelligent woman and an amazing artist. Glad I finally learned of her existence (maybe a year ago or so). ❤☮🌎
I've loved hide and seek since my hs (thx Mr O!) teacher played this in the background during a class. It's nice to watch this ages later and see how Imogen is and her personality. She's great. 😊
This is an awesome song and awesome interview. Thank you.
Random dude’s mug appears like a bombshell.
💀💀💀💀
💀💀💀💀💀
I have always loved her since I was 18 this is such a 2013 vibe ❤️
Quite an interview...guy steps back & "she's a gusher"! All good stuff. Only recently I picked up a dvd of Jeff Beck at Ronnie's place which is the first time I saw/ heard Imogen...( KNOCKED OUT!) by her. She did My Blanket & Rollin' & Tumblin' & could not believe how well her material was supported by Jeff Beck's beautiful guitar work. Watched her sequences over & over.😂😊
Such a great artist. Imogen's voice and melodies comfort me, sadden me and move me all together like no other artist does. One of the best musicians of the century. Truly remarkable work❤
Thank you for this! Brilliant.
What an interesting af background to an interesting af song!
great video, genius artist
Into the mind of genius….much love & respect!
what an amazing look in to the mind of a genius!
She is a legend and has created some amazing songs in her career.
Imogen is really special ❤
She has a speech pattern and tone that remind me of Stevie Nicks.
I appreciate this
The intelligent mind is never bored.
So this song was kind of an accident. How ironic.
i felt bad about her pc blowing up can you imagine the hits that died with it?
i just love her
This is freaking awesome!!!
Imogen (4what it's worth) I LOVE THE LONG HAIR! 🙂
And the live versions I've heard are fantastic!
Whose that kid who keeps popping on to the screen???
She's had long hair for a while-- she just wears it up. The "kid" is the interviewer.
@@tracylf5409 his comically bad editing was that confusing for some I suppose!
@@Flowilty it's a zoom call ffs whoevers mic is making the most noise shows up on the screen, nothing to do with editing
She looks a lot like this actress named: ‘Sally Hawkins’ she portrayed Ms. Mary Brown in the Paddington movies.
I like her.. no.. I adore her, really
i want to see her and Jacob Collier collab
I love her
It’s so interesting that the lyrics include “trains (and sewing machines)… they were here first” bc a train actually would intrude on her recording and she must have accepted it like “well the train track was here first” 😂 I don’t know if that’s true but I like to imagine it is.
Let go is still the GOAT
Why is Drake Bell interviewing her?
PFFT😂
wow your so funny making fun of someones looks.are you 7 grow up
XD
Lolol because he's been jobless? XD
💚
❤️❤️❤️❤️
🥰❤ her
When someone like Imogen Heap asks you to borrow your vocoder, YOU HAVE TO COMPLY!
LEGEND
😍
Does anyone know what the vocoder/harmonizer she used is?
Roland AX-Synth
Digitech Vocalist Ⅳ
the hell happened at around 2:02…?
Don't know maybe glitch
That was a jump scare
@@Liz-sc3np 😆
To figure out all the harmonies despite the fact that you were using a harmony engine.
Is the song about post-colonial effects on indegnous. I can’t figure it out.
Let me guess...did she say something controversial and you're here to troll her?
Disliker is a punk

tea or coffee.
what's ur next plan .come on let's creat an unforgettable memory.abot thinking something.
u r looking like in a hurry
I'm losing interest..................................
She looks deeply depressed. She needs Jesus. God bless her.
Huh?
She's 46 years old and presumably hasn't had any cosmetic procedures done. You're just not used to seeing a celebrity embrace natural aging.
