D6 & SM57 are classic mics for a bass amp, AT4040 is for a different perspective. Did you use a corresponding monitoring system to listen to a 4000 € amp? 😉
Good question :-). Yes, I always use headphones when listen to music videos on RUclips especially with bass guitar. My first impression was that there is a lot of room in the sound so as if the me Mikrofone was far away from the speaker. But I will check and listen again.
@@wolfram4321 The AT4040 was setup as a room microphone, the other 2 are close up to the cab. Throughout the demo I keep switching between them. You can see on the bottom left of the video when I change the mic
I love ampegs combo practice amps but when it comes to the big rig then I would prefer the hartke . but I would for sure use my ampeg bass preamp pedal with a hartke stack just to spice up the tone . the ampeg ba combo amps are the shit . I got the ba 110 and im satisfied with it but I really wish I would waited and extra week and kicked in the money to get the ba 115 combo amp . thats a fine bass amp without a doubt . I may sell my ba 110 and go for the ba 115 because I always prefered the 15 inch speaker over the 10 inch speaker. but with my ampeg bass preamp pedal it kinda makes me feel like im playing through a 15 inch speaker . but since my ba 110 is such a good combo amp , im not in any hurry to sell it and upgrade to the ba115
I LOVE SVT’s!!! But none of them can keep up with my GED-2112 preamp into my Crest CA9 stereo power amp, pushing 900 watts per side into my pair of Mesa PH212s and my Mesa PH610.
The D6 can sound really cool in a mix as a blend or even as the only mic, depending on the guitar tone. It's very scooped and it gets you one of those "you either like it or you don't" kind of tones, so I totally get it if it's not your cup of tea. As for the b52a, I did try one on bass ages ago, but it didn't really fit the sound I was going for on that record. Would love to give it another shot sometime if I get my hands on one
very cool stuff and great video production!
Thank you!
Awesome demo! :D
Thanks!
Took the building rattler for a spin 🚜
This is so cool thanks!!!!
Glad you like it 😁
How does your playing sound if you use a Harley Benton amp? That would be an interesting comparison.
Very good amp!
Loud as hell too! 🔊
Nice!
Thanks!
Ampeg aka the monster that makes my paint jars dance on the shelf ..
The party starter! 💃💃💃
Power!
Yeah! 🔥
Cool
Sound quality is low. Did you use a corresponding Mikrofone that ist worth a 4000 € amp?

I'd love to try out one of those Ampeg combos. Which Hartke amp did you refer to when talking about the big rigs?
The Amp only sounds as good as you can play. Never better than you. :D
And remember, the sky is always up if you are below it.

Would love to try that combo out!
This is the girl.
oh no...
yeah... but why?
Some new strings would of made it sound better
Most certainly! Unfortunately changing strings for every video would get really expensive, really fast
Never use a Audix d6 on a bass amp, use a Shure b52a instead

@@Garnoo Sennheiser MD421 is my favorite, it’s more a classic but still works for modern bass
