- This is the last episode, in a THREE part series of DIY Easter Home Decor Makeovers and Holiday Decorating Ideas. In this episode, we'll be making a ROYAL Bunny Egg from just a paper mache egg and an old candlestick that we got from the thrift store. Next, we'll go on to make our own bunny & carrots from cloth and add them to a bag that we made from an old flour sack. That so like Faberge egg turned so great. What a cool idea. I don’t know how come with all your wonderful ideas. Now your prize ( even some time consuming) was your bunny n carrots in a bag. So stinken cute. Loved it! I still got to get to the store n get that material you use but I thought this was clever at what you did. Mom had some great ideas too. I bought that rabbit pattern on Etsy, but, of course I had to change it. I made it larger and added legs. What's neat about this, is that you can make it with Osnaburg, fleece, muslin or drop cloth. Love it. I also tea/coffee stain the fabric first.

I love this napkin covered eggs. They are so very pretty. I've worked with napkins several this, but haven't covered anything round yet. I have seen others do so and have learned that smaller sections of napkins work better on spheres. There are fewer wrinkles with smaller pieces around them

It amazes me as to how detailed the molds appear when you compare it to the air dry clay. Your molds are the best I've seen. Your Mom had such an eye! Thank you Joanne and Kelly!
Thank you for that observation...yes, my pieces keep all the detail with the magic sculpt...but putting it in the freezer for 15 minutes really helps keep it in shape until it dries. Need to have a frozen cake pan glass of metal, (but it it needs to be a clean one. A new one from Dollar Tree would be great and affordable to use with crafts. Use the outside bottom. Just my thought.) with some cornstarch on it when you dump your molds out, so you can put your molds on them and keep them cold while you get the glue on them. That would give you extra time to work with the molds.
It would be really hard to sell that egg!!! I'd probably have to keep that.♥️♥️♥️

WOW these Easter Thrift Flips just got better and better with each episode. Loved everything! The bunny in the grain bag with the carrots has to be my favourite, although I must say your bunny did remind me of a kangaroo but I'm from Australia so go figure. Incidentally in Australia we have bunnies, chicks and all that but we also have the chocolate Bilby, a native australian bush mammal. Very cute ideas and fun to watch. I would love to see a slip stitch when you finish your seems so that it wouldn't show the knot.
You can use a needle to hold that egg up while you do that or a small sturdy piece of wire and then you can just pull it out when you get to the end cuz it should be pretty much dry by then love love everything you guys do

Does the magic sculpt crack like IOD clay?
Nope...there is no cracking. It dries as is...rock hard with no cracking! Like I said, it's so durable!
