    All the many corn silks I have thrown away over the years. Who would have known they could have been used for a Thanksgiving decor item or everyday decor farmhouse item.
    As a preteen many years ago, I took Sweetgum Ball and spray painted some gold and some red and put them on our Christmas tree. This was was before the DIY movement began. I am 55 now. At 18, our you youth group was going to have a fond raiser with the theme a luau. I made about 10 bamboo huts from bamboo from the bamboo from our property. My friend and I went to the creek and got several buckets of sand, lined the floor with plastic and made a beach scene with some of the huts and umbrellas made out of bamboo leaves, little balls. The other huts were spread out on the counters and window seals.
    Using the sand was approved by the pastor after we had told him how we were protecting the floor and it would not be tracked everywhere. My best friend was the pastor daughter. She was the best friend that I had ever had.

    Sorry to be late in checking out this week video. Been sick my friend . As you know I like to watch as soon as it’s up.
    Love that idea making pumpkins out of yarn n you picked some great colors too. They looked so good in that wooden bowl. Your idea of making those dried up flowers out of the stuff from the corn husks definitely gave you a work out. I was getting a little skeptical but they actually turned out really cute. Looked good with the bitter sweet n that cool can. Awww the bench. I love benches. That was a good size to work with. Loved how you decorated it with all the goodies you made. Definitely a great vignette to use for all seasons.
    Wanted to let you know I emailed you. Check to see if it came through. I think once again I wrote it down wrong. I’m such a dummy.
    Wanted to let you know how much I love my pig bag. He’ll be used I guarantee it. Already have my Flea Market Rescue key chain on my car key. Love it!
    ♥️♥️♥️😊👍👍👍

    When I see a new video come up from you I get a little shiver of excitement! The corn silk florals were so unique. I think they would have even been pretty as the original color. People pay big money for those types of florals - would it look strange for me to rummage through the trash can at the grocery store where customers can shuck their corn before purchasing it? I’d love to have all those silks. It wouldn’t be the first time I rummaged through the garbage!🤭 Have a great weekend. ~ Linda

    Kelly thankyou so much for your fabulous Ideas they are stunning Instead of using spray paint you could try flour and water yep self raising flour mix together with a little warm water to make a glue consistency add a little paint to that and remember that's the old fashioned way to hang wallpaper or news paper if you didn't have a lot of money yes to the walls so thanks again take care of your self and family from the UK 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 🇬🇧 😍

      Oh, I love that you look forward to Thursday morning, Pamela!!! PS> Sorry for being a bad influence! HEE HEE Anyway, I just want to say...those pumpkins with the yarn are sooooo incredibly easy! Just pick out some colors of yarn you like and before you know it.....you'll have a whole set of pumpkins that you can display for Fall!!! I know you said you're trying to downsize decorations, so maybe you can just swap old decorations out for new ones. That's what Debbie (the one I showed her house) does. If she hasn't used them in a year...she donates them. That's how she's able to keep changing things out without all the clutter. Well, thank you for watching, Pamela and for the sweet comment!!! I have a question. The mixture you made up of the glue, paint and water, you brushed it on, I wonder if you could put the mixture in a spray bottle and spray it on instead with a brush? Would that work?

    • @FLEAMARKETRESCUE
      @FLEAMARKETRESCUE  2 года назад

      Well, if you sprayed it on....then you'd have to really water down the mixture so that it could go through the spray bottle's nozzle, so I don't know if that would be strong enough to make these all bond together and stiffen, but that sure would be easier and less messy if you could! It's worth trying.
