Greetings from Calgary, Alberta, Canada 🇨🇦 just found you last week and I have been binge watching your Fantastic videos and tutorials, I'm gathering my supplies for the adorable snowman and plan on making these for Friends and Family! Thank you! Enjoy your day!❤
Thank you, Karen! Yea, it's fun doing all of this with my mom! She's fun to go treasure hunting with at the Thrift Stores and Flea Markets! Anyway, thanks so much for the WONDERFUL comment and for watching! I really appreciate it! XOXO
Mom taught me to make a small funnel by cutting an envelope across the corner (making a triangle) and then cut the tip off to whatever size you need. LOVE love the snowmen, particularly!
Thanks for the tip, Steph!!! I'm so glad to her that you love the snowmen! Aren't they just too stinkin' cute??? Anyway, thank for taking the time to comment and share! I appreciate that! Have a GREAT day, Steph!!!
Thank you, Elaine! Yes, that one was my favorite, too....although...I love the snowmen, too! You're right...they're all cute! HEE HEE How can we pick just one, right?!?!? LOL Anyway, Thanks So Much, Elaine for taking the time to comment and share! I truly appreciate that! XOXO
AwHhhh...thank you, Kristy! That was so sweet! And, yes...you're absolutely right....I totally could see that, as well! That would be VERY cute! Anyway, thank you for taking the time to comment and for watching! XOXO
Thank you, June!!! I think the pallet tree was my favorite from this video!!! I'm going to make some up for my booth this year!!! I think they will go quick!!!
I actually liked all of your projects. I really liked the farmhouse paint effect on the small houses and guess what? I also liked the paint effect you described as primitive. Now I can't be certain what motivated you to paint these houses and it is certainly your right; I just think it's unfortunate that people feel pressured to follow what is trendy; a couple of what used to be favorite stores of mine(specifically Pier 1 and The Body Shop) have closed recently and I think it was likely due to someone's insistence that the stores look like all the other stores with a modern theme. Sorry, some of us like old and we seek out places which reflect our tastes, we don't care what is trending unless it happens to be something we like. I also feel compelled to mention that the glass jar you paid $1.99 for was available recently at Dollar Tree stores in my area and sold for $1.00. The difference was that the Dollar Tree stores came with a lid. Yes, I know all of us who frequent flea markets and thrift stores are subject to buying things while unaware of exaggerated markups in price, even though the markup may not be done awarely. Finally I want to point out that the items you inserted into your last project were pictures not pitchers. Again I did like all of your projects and do hope you'll continue with more.
Hi Claudia! I get it....I totally understand! Actually, I use to make Primitive dolls, believe it or not.....so I was heavy into Primitives for over 10 years. I had the jelly cupboards, the Primitive Quilts, etc... It's not that I didn't like the little houses Primitive, because the Primitive look has always been close to my heart. It's just that I have grown to love the black & whites of farmhouse accompanied by the natural woods. Yes, I know it's trendy right now, but I truly like the look. I appreciate all art & expressions of it...new and old, though. I agree with you....you shouldn't do something just because it's trendy! You should do it because you love it....not just because it's popular right now, because trends will come and go. If you love Primitive, I totally get your love for it.
Hi Marilyn! Thank you for taking the time to let me know which projects were your favorite!!!! I'm always curious about that! I'm so glad you liked the projects this week! Thanks so much for watching and for sharing! XOXO
A few little wood "presents" would look nice on the base. I could see a little pair of wood skates, an "old" little hockey stick, and even a wood animal, that looks like a stuffed bear?.?
OHhhh, Liza....your comment touched my heart! I just wanted to give you a hug after I read it! I love that my video could bring back memories for you and I so happy to hear that it made your day! Thanks so much for sharing that with me! XOXO
Thank you, Diana! I'm so glad you like everything and thank you for letting me know which project was your favorite! They really were cute, weren't they?!?! Anyway, thank you for watching and for taking the time to comment! XOXO
Hi Simone! WELCOME!!! I'm so glad you found your way here to my channel! Yay!!! I'm so glad to hear that you loved the pallet tree and the salt and pepper shaker snowmen projects!!!! Thank you for taking the time to share that with me! Enjoy watching a few of the other videos! I have a lot of great projects that I think you'll like! Anyway, Thanks Again, Simone and You have a WONDERFUL day, today!
@@FLEAMARKETRESCUE. I have bought several little pieces to do this sort of stuff but I’m like I have to see something I like to fix it. I also got a ton of stuff from dt. My husband passed 4 yrs ago. And I’m trying to find something to do.
OH, I'm so glad to hear that you love the projects, Mary!!! ! Aren't the snowman just too stinkin' cute?!?!?! I LOVE THEM! Yep, I have a part 2 coming on Thursday!!!! Yay!!! I realized when I was putting this video together, that if I were to put all the projects in...it was going to be like a TWO HOUR video, so I had to break it up!!! So, stay tune, Mary...I have a more great projects coming!!! XOXO
Oh boy lady now I’m on the hunt for the salt and pepper shakers so I can do those with my grands. So stinking cute! ☺️ thanks again it’s always a super fun time. ❤️
LOL...yes...that's how I felt, too! I had to get my hands on a pair of salt and pepper shakers....I was on the hunt! I hit every thrift store I could! You'll find them and this would be the PERFECT craft to do with your grandkids!!! They are going to have so much fun putting these together with you! PS...that was so sweet of you to say it's always a super fun time watching my videos! I love it, Theresia! Thanks So Much and you have a WONDERFUL day today!!! XOXO

Weren't they just too stinkin' cute?!?! I was so excited to make them!!! Anyway, thank you for taking the time to comment on my projects, Trish! I really appreciate it!!! XOXO
OMG you make me nervous drilling and screwing with bare hands and no stabilization! You never know when it might jump or slip; don't take for granted that nothing has ever happened...it could. On a happy note I love watching you shop and diy.
I'm so glad you liked them, Bronislava Tomkova!!! Weren't they cute?!?! Anyway, thanks for watching and for taking the time to comment! You have a GREAT day! XOXO
Thank you, Margie!!! XOXO I know...I just LOVE them!!! The different caps make them all look a little bit different, too! Like the bigger salt & pepper remind me of a pill box hat from the 70's, the middle size salt & pepper reminds me of a kid's knit type cap with the ball on the end and the smallest shakers remind me of the British Guards! LOL They are just too cute! I LOVE THEM! Anyway, thank you for watching and for taking the time to share which project was your favorite, Margie!!!! XOXO
The rustic tree is simply gorgeous!!! I think the snowmen are just priceless. You have really been working hard and we get part 2 !!!!! That is wonderful!!! Just so many great ideas!!!! Cant wait for the rest!!! Have a great week 🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲🌲❗❗
Hi Charlotte...yeah...I had so many projects that this video would have been TWO hours long! LOL I was like, "I have to do a part II!" I thought that would be a nice surprise for everyone! I'll have it posted Thursday...I've been working on finishing it up! I'm so glad that you loved the rustic tree and the snowmen, Charlotte! Weren't those snowmen just too stinkin' cute?!?!? Anyway, you have a BEAUTIFUL day, today! XOXO
Kelly! These are all great! I’m amazed at your freehand drawing of the doors and windows! That display came out really cute!! The farmhouse tree you made from pallet wood is such an inspiration and of course, the cutie patootie snowmen! Many thanks!
Hey, Pam! Thank you so much!!! I really appreciate the WONDERFUL compliments on my projects!!! It really means a lot to me!!! You have a GREAT day! XOXO
The snowflakes, depending on where you put them...made them all look different! Just putting the snowflakes on the top of the hat, reminded me of like a kids knitted hat with the ball on top. It's funny, because the caps made them look different, too. Like the bigger set, reminded me of a pill box hat from the 70's and the smallest set reminded me of a British Guard! HEE HEE Anyway, so glad you loved the snowmen!!! Thank you for the WONDERFUL compliment on the Christmas decorations, Avery! That made my day! XOXO
I'm new and I love your channel. You may already do this but rubbing wax onto the screws helps them go in your pre drilled hole much easier. Looking forward to more video's
Hi Mary James!!! WELCOME! I'm so glad you found your way here to my channel!!! Yay!!!! Thank you so much for the sweet compliment and also for the tips on the screws! I did not know that and will most certainly try that on my next project!! Thanks for sharing and watching! XOXO PS...I have more videos to come, so stay tune.....
I loved your shaker snowmen! I like to glue a small bottle brush tree in the bottom of the shaker with a little bit of snow before adding the head and embellishments.
Yep...when I was putting together the video that I just posted, I realized that it would have been like a two hour video if I had put everything in. YIKES!!!! It would have just been too long! So, I was like...I have to do a Part II !!!! I thought that would be a nice surprise for everyone!!! So, yep....stay tune. Rosie! I'll have Part II out on Thursday!!! I'm finishing it right now! XOXO
Yep...you know me....I'm crazy with the things I do on that counter top! LOL That counter top has seen more projects that I can remember even doing! Yeah, we can switch off, counter top twin....one week at your house...one week at mine! HEE HEE Hope you had a GREAT Thanksgiving, Delaine!!! XOXO
AwHhh, Alicia...how sweet of you to say that! What a WONDERFUL comment and I'm so happy to hear that you love watching my videos! That's AWESOME! Thank you for taking the time to tell me that! It made my day! XOXO
Thank you, Michelle! I really appreciate your sweet comment! I'm so glad you liked the snowmen!!! They were so stinkin' cute, weren't they?!!?! Anyway, thanks again and you have a GREAT day!!! XOXO
Just watched your latest video. I love the snowmen and have been seeing them in at craft shows and reclaimed market places. I have a few ideas for easier application. I know everyone has there own way and I’m cool with that but just some thoughts. The paper clay head you could use a little tin foil or styrofoam balls and put the paper clay over that. That would make drying time quicker. For the Rosie cheeks I use cotton swabs and dry brush. You can even use real blush. Love how they turned out with there cute scarfs and hats. I have bought some salt and pepper shakers this summer to make those snowmen. Thanks for all your fun videos and ideas.
Hi Lanie! Yes, we had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving! I got to hang out with my Mom and my sister! That's always fun! I'm so glad to hear that you loved the projects! I have a Part II coming on Thursday, so stay tune..... XOXO
Thanks for sharing that with me, Faye! Yea...I tried a funnel that I had here at the house and it just wasn't working at all! Oh well...I'll know for next time!!! Thanks Again and You have a WONDERFUL day, Faye! XOXO
Could you use different sized wooden beads, as the snowmen heads? They already have a good, which may need a bigger "carrot", or to fill the hole in a little. I'm impatient, and hate to wait for things to dry! LOL
What do you think about leaving the little snowflakes white and just putting some mother of pearl which turns out to be like a variegated pink and green glitter on the snowflakes it would make it show up a little bit better on the hats instead of blending it you're putting the same glitter on makes it blend in
Hi Karen, yea...it just seemed like the openings weren't big enough to push enough snowflakes though, especially on the smaller set! Thank you for the suggesting, though! I really appreciate that! XOXO
Hi Amber...Oh, thanks so much! I did those cuts on a 22.5 degree angle, however, the last board I did on a 15 degree angle, because it was just so big...I needed to cut it at a different angle to make it look right. You just want to make sure the boards are getting smaller as you go up or visa versa. But, they will all be cut on the same angle...unless you do the last board like I did on a 15 degree angle. Ok? Hope that helps!
I would of saved the geraniums...put in flower bed w other..flowers ..haha..i do that & get compliments on my garden".....just thought they were pretty.....love urns too....
Ohhh....I'm sorry, Karen! I love that you put the fake flowers in the garden! LOL You know...I'm not that great with plants, so I think you're on to something!!! Urns are my favorite....they make everything look so royal!
Oh Kelly, how adorable everything turned out. Those snowman salt n pepper shakers turned out… you got it, stinken cute. Their adorable. What a clever idea using them. Loved how you did those hats too. I just love old dresser drawers like yours. It’s amazing what you can do with them n your idea farm house style. Have a question. On your checking tags m the other kind are they to be down loaded or do you send them like they are? Long question huh? I’m not to great at the computer n don’t rightly know how to down load. If you get a chance please let me know. I love love wall that you do. Your the best. ♥️♥️😊👍👍
Hi Shelly! How are doing? Yes, those salt & pepper shaker snowmen were so stinkin' cute...I just love them! I'm glad to hear that you do, too!!! I got that drawer in Springfield and it's such a great drawer! Not too big and it's the right natural wood color...it's perfect!! Ok...on your question about the hang tags. When you purchase them...Etsy sends a link in an email right after you pay. The link will have a download button. You click on the download button and it will download the file onto your computer. Once it's downloaded...you click on the file. It will open and you can print it off as many times as you want. I hope that helps! If you have any trouble....message me and I will send pictures step by step to work you through it. Alright? Thanks so much, Shelly!!! Hope everything is going good for you! XOXO
Love all of these! Question: Do you think a wooden bead could work for the head of the s&p snowmen? There’s already a hole for the carrot nose. I could use wood putty to fill the hole on the back. I’ve never used paper clay....
Thank you, Mary and absolutely...that most certainly would work!!!! If the hole is a little too big for the nose, you could also just use a little wood putty in there to make the opening a bit smaller, but yea...to your question, you could definitely use a wooden bead! Hope that helps!
Yes it would, I use sharpened pencils for bigger noses on bigger snowmen. Anyways paperclay is easy to use, sometimes it cracks after drying then just touch it up with another piece of clay. It paints easily too. I made a Snowman and Santa Claus with it, they turned out so cute.
I know, right??!?! LOL No...actually we do Vintage Markets and sell our stuff through out the year....so, that works for us...but we do have enough stuff that we could have a shop! HEE HEE
Hi Fiona!!! Thank you for the sweet comment!!! My mom is doing good! Thank you for asking! I keep telling her that people still ask about her! I wish I could convince her to do another video or two, but she's in her 70's and she just kind of wants to do her own thing. I totally get it! Anyway...I will let her know that you were asking about her! It will make her day! Thanks Again, Fiona and you have a BEAUTIFUL day, today!!!

I preferred the ragged edges on the boards for the wooden tree
some times when i make snowmen especially when i use material like muslin or feedsack, I use real, cheap blush.

Hey, Carol! Thanks so much for sharing those tips!!! They were all very good! PS> Thank you for the wonderful compliment, as well! XOXO

Hi Lanie! Yes, we had a FABULOUS Thanksgiving! I got to hang out with my Mom and my sister! That's always fun! I'm so glad to hear that you loved the projects! I have a Part II coming on Thursday, so stay tune..... XOXO
Happy holidays to you and your family! These projects are cutie cutes!
Thank you so much, Joanne! I'm so glad you enjoyed the projects! Happy Holidays to you, too!!! XOXO
I made my own funnel to fit the shakers by rolling a piece of paper in the shape of a funnel.
LOL
What do you think about leaving the little snowflakes white and just putting some mother of pearl which turns out to be like a variegated pink and green glitter on the snowflakes it would make it show up a little bit better on the hats instead of blending it you're putting the same glitter on makes it blend in
Just a piece of paper to make a funnel for small openings
Hi Karen, yea...it just seemed like the openings weren't big enough to push enough snowflakes though, especially on the smaller set! Thank you for the suggesting, though! I really appreciate that! XOXO
Hey Kelly 😊 Tree was super cute 😍 I don't think I heard you say what angle you cut all the boards at. Can you share that with me please.
@FLEA MARKET RESCUE yes, very helpful. Thank you Kelly 😊❣️
I'd have washed the flowers with soap and water and used them in other projects. Unless they were faded.
Yay!!
I know, FINALLY! Yay!!!! Hopefully, you still have part of your lunch break left to watch it!!! HEE HEE Thanks, Nikki!! XOXO
I was able to watch it all! LOVED the little snowmen! SO Cute! Can’t wait until Thursday! 😁 BONUS! TFS!
I have two tiny vintage shakers. I'll copy your idea.
You need a shop, lol!
I know, right??!?! LOL No...actually we do Vintage Markets and sell our stuff through out the year....so, that works for us...but we do have enough stuff that we could have a shop! HEE HEE
Keep up the great work my great you tuber.PS. how is mum and your family?
I bet the thrift store would keep the faux plant next time so you don't have to throw it away.
Wow love everything!
Stick the flowers under the shower to clean them up. Waste not want not...make a spring wreath!
Next time don't angle your boards. I like the boards as is. It makes it more primitive, homemade.
Les, I personally like the boards angled...but, you can do them however you like. There is no rules to it!
🎉need a sta.p made for windows and doors
What?
Your going to ruin your kitchen counters.
I love all your videos But the drill light is shining into the camera. 🙂
You should of made longer to shorter on each board
Dangerous
😂
They would be real cute if they didn't look like pope snowmen
Nice stuff loved it all
