Yey! The kiln works! Your bird feeders look great. I bought some Mason stains on your recommendation, mixed them with clear, and got a beautiful translucent red glaze. Very pleased to have custom color glazes for not much money. Slips next. Thank you!

That is fantastic! So glad it worked out for you! Can I ask which Red Mason stain you used? Thanks!

I am waiting on new elements now, great timing, right in the middle of the Christmas rush of course 😅. I just did a kiln opening, 12 and a half hours and it didn't even reach Cone 5 on the top shelf, argh! I have a market Friday night, hoping I have enough stock for it.
I love your little clams, they are super sweet. I need to try and make some of your bird feeders, I really like them. As usual, your scraffito work is absolutely gorgeous! It is lovely to see you back at your kiln unloadings. Thank you so much for sharing x

I know right? Sometimes the Universe has a weird sence of humor when it comes to timing. lol Good luck on the market! Not much markets here on Bonaire, just the Christmas market but I am skipping that one this year, no stress! I am loving your videos too! I hope to see a bird feeder in there someday soon. 😘

Hoi Sheila, dankjewel!

Hey there Monique. Glad to see you. So happy you figured out your kiln! I absolutely love the bird feeders! I need to start thinking about how I’m going to change my elements in my kiln. I bought the elements quite a while ago because I thought I needed them but it was the relays. The kiln is taking a little longer to fire so I need to change them. Just really afraid to do it. ❤

@@micheledickey4066 I hear you, it seams daunting but it really isn't. A kiln is actually a simple thing. Tip: take good pictures of all the connections before you take anything out! And if possible replace them 1 by 1. And you can probably get help from the manufacturer, just call them for assistance. I f your firings start taking longer check if you reach temp with witness cones. Good luck!

@ Thank you. What a great idea to take pics. My kiln is a manual kiln so I use witness cones on every single shelf every single time. Well worth the knowledge that everything is vitrified! Thanks.

Lovely to see you again Monique - I love the bird feeder - I have a question though - does water pool in them? I live way down in Dunedin New Zealand and we get a good amount of rain haha

Thanks for chiming in! Yes, water does pool in them. For some of them I make little holes in the bottom for drainage, problem solved lol
