I haven't seen this mentioned anywhere else, but at one point in this series, you get to see famous Swedish film director Ingmar Bergman and the assassinated Swedish
former primer minister, Olof Palme, dancing with Death on top of the hospital building, in a scene eerily reminiscent of Bergman's masterpiece, "The Seventh Seal".

I don’t think it’s the same script. In this I got the impression that this woman was watching the original TV show and she wandered into the hospital looking for the characters and she actually entered the world of the show

For anyone whose seen this already, is it really necessary for me to see the other seasons in order to enjoy this one ?
It's a big enough "meta" departure with an almost entirely new cast so you might be able to get away with it (though some parts may make just as much sense with context as without), but if you have the option I'd say to give the first two seasons a spin anyway just to get a feel for it. There's only eight episodes and they're all pretty great.
