Best scenes of the season: - Fleabag punching Martin - Clare dumping Martin like the trashbag he is Oh, and that "I'm very horny and your scarf doesn't help" line
@Keren Crispe he is not ' the worst ', he before that was a complex male character with flaws like you have. it's not all about brow beating men right ? I mean ,that's what equality means or is it only ok for women grieve in a specific or animated way
I have a theory that the young actor who plays Jake is going to grow up to become another Benedict Cumberbatch and a huge star. He has the height, the voice, the quirky but somehow cute looks and he walks with a kind of confident grace. Much like BC.
@@Ilive_420 Thanks. I'll look him up. But to be honest, I don't really have time to obsess over another actor while I'm currently spending all my time obsessing over Joseph Quinn 🥰
I noticed sometime after watching the second season that Flebag ends up by herself (aside for Hilary and Stephanie, her pets): Her mother and Boo are dead; Claire runs off with Klare; her father gets married and even more inacessible now that he is more submissive to her godmother; Martin and Jake are no longer in her family; the blond guy finds a new job and becomes unavaiable to help her; and, of course, the Priest, who decides to chose God/Church. Geez, she even let go of the camera (us). Like in the first season, Fleabag ends up alone. However, this time, she is ready for starting over and forgive herself, moving on from her trauma and finding love on herself and maybe someone else.
i love the way she writes men, she's really not afraid to show real sides to masculinity like vulnerbility and flagrant emotions. rather than some stoic six pack hunk. awesome!!
I rather like that she writes men realistically. Both good and bad things. Dudes you would probably meet on a thursday. Most female writers write men like they wish men *were* in real life and the dissonance is too much for me. I need them to suck just a little bit to like them
this show - she honestly deserved all those awards tbh its so brilliant and unique and original, Phoebe Waller-Bridge a huge asset to the film industry!
@@Jaerb4 And what does a "bad" person even mean. Just because he has symphatetic qualities, and sometimes feels bad - and everyone does to a degree, doesn't mean he isn't a shitty person.
I know what you mean but to be honest I never get sick of this show. (see thumbnail) I've lost count of how many times I've watched it. It's become my comfort show. When I've had a bad day I get into bed and watch my favourite Fleabag scenes. Never fails to make me smile.
If anything could shake me out of my depression from watching Snape’s tearful delivery of the word “Always” from Harry Potter, it’s watching Olivia Colman’s hilariously insincere delivery of the same word multiple times.
Love the randomness of the show, like the former bank manager keeping the pinny/apron or that weird kid plays the song Where’s Claire at the wedding 😂😂
Season 2 was an absolute masterpiece!!! The end made me feel like I actually lost a friend, went into a mini depression after I rewatched it for the second time
I'm still obsessed, nothing better has appeared since. So funny, so clever, so symbolic and full of many many layers yet still so emotional and moving. Love it.
I love Fleabag and could watch every scene of every episode forever and never get sick of it. But I couldn't help feeling that a lot of these funny moments were missing context due to poor editing. There's no point in hearing the punchline if you don't first know what the joke is.
@@Kit_spivaye That is so weird 😵💫 I honestly don't remember even writing that. It really doesn't sound like something I would write because I thought the editing in Fleabag was exceptional. Like I said...weird.
For some reason I don’t understand the “you look well, where have you been?,” “Boots, it’s lovely this of of them year,” and then Claire just walks off? Am I missing something?
Claire running off with Klare at the end is genius writing. Claire learns to love Klare in the end, A.K.A. love herself.
Love that!
I'd never thought of it that way!
…the fact that I didn’t get that until I read your comment.
Oh my god this just literally blew my mind. Phoebe you clever son of a bitch
The fact you had to clarify the point of your comment is insulting to people’s intelligence
“What does he do?”
“He’s a priest.”
MUSIC KICKS IN
THAT BIT
Excellent!!
the musical cues are killing me fr
I love how Claire immediately connects the dots and realizes how fucked the situation actually is 😂 and instead of chastising Fleabag she just laughs
It was so sad when Claire had her miscarriage. Then the way Martin acted when Fleabag was covering for her. He made me mad on so many levels lol.
@Cullen Porter im not stupid ik yall are bots😐

When Fleabag turns right to the camera and says "Bye Claire," and your name is Claire.
Bye Claire :)
That moment must have been so good.
I literally involuntarily reached forward to exit out of the window before I stopped myself 😂
Funny, like really funny....Bye Claire!
Haha
A bassoon piece titled, “Where’s Claire?” and he still managed to deliver that line with a straight face. Brilliant

Fleabag, immediatly: whOTD A FUCC-

i love the small "don't bring hillary!" during the phone call with claire
Priest: You were in my prayers last night
Fleabag: *breaks fourth wall, smirks * Likewise

So basically the whole season....
Fleabag is the star hands down but the actress who plays Claire is a savage.
My anger for Martin is infinite. Phoebe Waller-Bridge is such an inspirational writer. 💕
