Exactly this. Firing Nick isn't going to change the outcome of this Eagles season. An interim coach isn't going to come in mid-season and lead this team to a Superbowl. So we might as well just ride it out for the season, and hopefully, things can get overhauled in the offseason. Coaching staff and roster.

The only positive is we have the offensive pieces locked up. Just gotta hope Jalen can look good again under the right coach. I don’t feel like the game is being schemed well for his skill set, too many long developing plays and deep balls. He has a pretty deep ball but it only works when you mix in short quick passes.

His main problem is that he STILL thinks this is the 2022 eagles that went to the chip. He calls things the same runs it the same trust his defense and offense way more than he should. Even has the same offensive system that worked wonders that year still going. Last year you had guys watching the game calling what the eagles will do BEFORE they did it! League caught on adjusted shut it down mostly now YOU need to do the same and change things up and stop going for it on 4th when your offense is struggling and giving the other team short fields when your D is garbage. CHAAAAAAAAAANGE!!!

Quiet literally the worst game of football I have watched in years! 0 yards in over 20 minutes of play, just inexcusable. We need leaders other than BG to step up, and take charge. For the coaching gameplan to be a passing attack against a weak run defence while missing Brown and Smith is beyond foolish. Most of all I am sick and tired of hearing another completely crappy game is "on" Sirianni, talk is cheap. Where the hell is there any real accountability and action in this group?!?

This team fell apart once Sirianni started running his mouth and doing stupid stuff on the sidelines during games. Makes him look like a punk and it also made other teams not respect the Eagles as opponents. Now you see more dirty plays and scuffles than in his first 2 seasons leading to more injuries and flags. Just distractions from whatever was supposed to be the 'main thing' they kept talking about. Eagles players are lacking composure while committing too many penalties and mental errors, and it isn't that hard to guess where that comes from when the supposed leader of the team notably lacks discipline himself. People wanna say it was all Steichen doing the heavy lifting to carry us but I think the team just respected Sirianni back then and actually listened to him, I don't think anyone listens to him anymore unless he's praising them and we tried switching to a defensive coordinator whose scheme isn't going to work against half the league when they just force us into nickel all game long and pick it apart underneath the zones. Fangio will never have this defense playing man successfully and so it doesn't even matter what the pass rush can do. Teams can march on them 10 drives a game with ease and score 30 pts off field goals in the RZ to win the game.

OK I think I figured out the problem. It's multi-faceted.
Sirianni has built up too much of a "I'll always have your back and I'm a fun coach to play for" attitude which negatively translates to holding people accountable. He'll let these millionaires get away with murder because he never actually earned anyone's respect so he'll go-along-to-get-along to try and maintain the lockerroom facade.
He might very well be a great coach somewhere else where he doesn't set the precedent early that he's able to be walked on, but this is an obvious situation of a mutual breakup benefitting both sides.
The Eagles will never take that next step forward with Nick as our head coach. It's the unfortunate reality we're stuck in. Either cut ties and let Nick flourish in another system while securing the right fit for our group of guys or punt the glaring problem down the road until it's too late and we miss Jalen's window.
I don't even hate Nick, I just think the way he's handled adversity up until this point by letting the team walk all over him and publicly being labeled as a "CEO coach" is working against everyone in the organization.

😀 Well hello again. I think I know what the issue is. Lurie is against running the ball. It clashes with analytics (and it’s a passing league now). This is why we are seeing similarities between the Wentz situation and Hurts. Sirianni is only doing his job. This decision doesn’t make sense because Lurie has so many weapons on offense. Look at the 49’ers they are a run-first team. Shanahan still uses analytics but he also goes with his instincts and experience. But Kyle is a football guy. Lurie and Roseman aren’t. That’s the difference.

It’s like no thought went into field conditions, player conditions and our mental health conditions… Depending on 6th round rookies and practice squad players to fill the void is gonna be a rough couple weeks ahead. A run-first offense goes with the personnel they have right now (like PB&J). It’s their strength and identity (not a pass-happy offense which is what Lurie wants). The "bend but don’t break" philosophy is outdated because it’s been dissected and figured out. Today’s game leans more towards an aggressive defense (high pressure forcing mistakes from your opposition). This was going to be the direction Dennard Wilson was going to take the Eagles in defensively (if they would have made him DC).

Jalen has played football for a huge chunk of his life. He knows to do this. I think Lurie and Roseman want the big flashy plays. Wentz did this also, but the smart qb’s live to fight for another down. They don’t take unnecessary risks (only calculated ones).
Remember last season Hurts and Johnson wanted "the system to evolve and become more layered" and Sirianni wanted to keep things the same. Maybe this is what Lurie and Roseman wanted. So you have an owner and GM (who aren’t football guys) and a HC who doesn’t understand the game at a high level (the NFL is the highest level), these are the individuals making all of the "football decisions".

I was sitting in the third row behind their bench yesterday. I saw him walk up to Hurts one time, and besides that, never saw him try and inspire his team.
I hate saying this cause I actually do like him as a person and his perspective. He just doesn’t hold the value or energy needed right now.

I don't know....its not really the plays that are being called ....its the miss tackling and the personel on the field on defense Devin White or Trotter should be getting snaps....im sorry but Dean cant play coverage, so White preferrably Trotter jr should get on the field with Baun...Howie needs to look for a edge rusher ASAP or they need to let Baun play the edges or Booker...as far as offense Hurts needs to play better and stop trying to play hero ball all the time....too many open recievers in the middle of the field left open...he has to get better throwing in the middle of the field between the linebackers and the safties....the posts routes digg routes are where his ints are ..whether throwing across his body or strait up step in and throw...overall focus for the rest of the season needs to be in the middle of the field once again..,attack the middle of the field better on offense and defend the middle of the field better on defense with NO TURNOVERS...
