I’ve enjoyed watching Jalen since Bama but I won’t say he’s regressed but he’s looking for the big play instead taking what the defense gives him. Last week against the Saints, I believe was a damn good game on his part. Also, the defense didn’t do him any favors. It looked like the same defense from last year; missed tackles, no pressure, terrible backend play. Lastly, he’s working in a new offense. Give him time and by the end of the year, it’ll be much different. I still believe in him.

As a big Eagles fan since 1979, I also was rooting for Jalen Hurts to succeed, but, I am beginning to see the real big picture. A friend tried to get me to see why Nick Saban pulled him at halftime of the championship game between Alabama and Georgia. Hurts is a good but not great quarterback. The offense that he ran under Shane Steichen, fitted his skill-set. Jalen can run a RPO system, but he struggles in a pro-set offense. I still think that Hurts can get us back to the Super Bowl, but the big question is: when! Overall, Jalen Hurts is not the only reason why the Eagles are struggling. The entire defense (talent & scheme) sucks; offensive play-calling is unpredictable; and, the head coach has an ego problem with his questionable decision-making.
The problems are not just Hurts and Sirianni. The dysfunction runs DEEP! Lurie and Roseman are are meddling with the playcalling on offense. Lurie will never hire a head coach that has complete and total autonomy. Unfortunately the eagles and cowboys have similar problems in that respect.

As an Eagles I would have also fired Sirianni after last season. Shoulda just with new coaching all across the board. If there's anything AJ's and Smitty's injuries have shown me, is that we need a solid serviceable 3rd WR who can actually step it up when your number is called. I’m tired of hearing the Eagles do nothing great. That’s not true. They are great at running the ball when they commit to it. That last part is key. That should be their identity and the lack thereof is a coaching issue. Jalen needs to be better, absolutely, but coaching is the main issue.

Even before yesterday, Hurts was making bad decisions. And he has been since the middle of last season. Lead the league in turnovers last season and probably will this season as well. As for Nick, I completely agree. I wanted him gone at the end of last season, but they brought him back because he got to the big game the previous year. If things don't turn around after the bye, Sirianni won't finish the year.

Dak and Dallas can get stomped and if they beat a bad team, they are automatically back to there they were. Bucs are actually a good team. And we weren’t out 1 All Pro WR, we were out both our starting WRs and LT on top of losing Kelce and other other Center. In 110 degree weather, when your defense gives up 14pts early it’s hard to stay motivated with all the missing pieces, the heat and deficit. I went to this game (my first time seeing my team play on an away field) so yesterday I was crushed 😢 but at the same time, I actually have respect for Bucs. Simple as that. This team is lacking consistency on both sides of the ball, due to a HC who isnt good on either side of the ball. Which is regressing ALL the players on this team. Players we know are good. EVERYONE regressed last year and the team had no identity. This is a HC problem, a DEFENSIVE SCHEME problem, possibly a Howie/Jeffery problem, and now a QB problem due to Jalen having to do more and learn fast compared to 2022.

He committed 3 turnovers against the packers you know when he had everybody at full strength. You should exercise pause a bit until at least half through the season because he doesn’t show progression with the qb whisperer so far. He has 7 turnovers on the season and looking sort of reminiscent of last year the only difference is saquon.

I’ve enjoyed watching Jalen since Bama but I won’t say he’s regressed but he’s looking for the big play instead taking what the defense gives him. Last week against the Saints, I believe was a damn good game on his part. Also, the defense didn’t do him any favors. It looked like the same defense from last year; missed tackles, no pressure, terrible backend play.
Lastly, he’s working in a new offense. Give him time and by the end of the year, it’ll be much different. I still believe in him.

As a big Eagles fan since 1979, I also was rooting for Jalen Hurts to succeed, but, I am beginning to see the real big picture.
A friend tried to get me to see why Nick Saban pulled him at halftime of the championship game between Alabama and Georgia.
Hurts is a good but not great quarterback. The offense that he ran under Shane Steichen, fitted his skill-set. Jalen can run a RPO system, but he struggles in a pro-set offense.
I still think that Hurts can get us back to the Super Bowl, but the big question is: when!
Overall, Jalen Hurts is not the only reason why the Eagles are struggling.
The entire defense (talent & scheme) sucks; offensive play-calling is unpredictable; and, the head coach has an ego problem with his questionable decision-making.
The problems are not just Hurts and Sirianni. The dysfunction runs DEEP!
Lurie and Roseman are are meddling with the playcalling on offense. Lurie will never hire a head coach that has complete and total autonomy. Unfortunately the eagles and cowboys have similar problems in that respect.

Even before yesterday, Hurts was making bad decisions. And he has been since the middle of last season. Lead the league in turnovers last season and probably will this season as well. As for Nick, I completely agree. I wanted him gone at the end of last season, but they brought him back because he got to the big game the previous year. If things don't turn around after the bye, Sirianni won't finish the year.

Bad WRs. I’m leaning on Hurts never coming back to 2022 form, but that’s why we went out and got Barkley, but I think people are overreacting to this loss. Dak and Dallas can get stomped and if they beat a bad team, they are automatically back to there they were. Bucs are actually a good team. And we weren’t out 1 All Pro WR, we were out both our starting WRs and LT on top of losing Kelce and other other Center. In 110 degree weather, when your defense gives up 14pts early it’s hard to stay motivated with all the missing pieces, the heat and deficit. I went to this game (my first time seeing my team play on an away field) so yesterday I was crushed 😢 but at the same time, I actually have respect for Bucs. They are soo much better than people give them credit for, and that stadium was loud. Great win Bucs, but expect a different outcome when we get our weapons back 🤪
Bad coaching, outdated scheme, and weak players. The off the ball defense backs is over played. I’ve seen Philly loose so many games to average quarterbacks. Oh and it was hot and the team just didn’t feel like playing. Just rolled over.

The drama is still here and its making everything worse. Look at the team its like there not playing for the love of the game. You look at head coaches that teams love and they play 120% all day. The eagles were letting them get huge amounts after catching the ball. Completely missing tackles and not even running the ball after a 3 and out? This coach needs to go. Yes it might hurt us for 1-2 seasons. But atm nick is just going to be a coach that keeps getting worse. We wont even make the playoffs atm with him. Hurts admitted that they do not even talk. Look at Reid hes doing tv ads with mahomes. A coach that talks to his qb and is friendly will always do better then a coach that does nothing and admits it. He literally said on the off season that he has staff that does everything. That he " Might" go to more defense meet ups. I'm not sure what coach we go for. But atm id say pick one thats hands on cause we need to rebuild the team. These players look beat up and don't even want to play anymore when they lose. Even when they win they feel like its not good enough. Something is going on.
Simple as that. This team is lacking consistency on both sides of the ball, due to a HC who isnt good on either side of the ball. Which is regressing ALL the players on this team. Players we know are good. EVERYONE regressed last year and the team had no identity. This is a HC problem, a DEFENSIVE SCHEME problem, possibly a Howie/Jeffery problem, and now a QB problem due to Jalen having to do more and learn fast compared to 2022.

The team was better for sure on the stat sheet sort of along with the win against Green Bay. Your missing the whole thing though. He committed 3 turnovers against the packers you know when he had everybody at full strength. You should exercise pause a bit until at least half through the season because he doesn’t show progression with the qb whisperer so far. He has 7 turnovers on the season and looking sort of reminiscent of last year the only difference is saquon.
