Great vid and simple explanation. How long will it takes to import a file size of 100GB? Does it also import RAW as it is. As the days goes by, the photos will be accumulating. Does the import repeat the transfering of photos already imported before and taking twice the time or it can auto select only new photos. Can it import vidoes together with photos at one go or must do two separate operation?

my files are usually JPG and My Movies are just MP4.

I tried to import the videos off my dash cam but when I plug everything in, it doesn't show anything on imports. I have a iPhone 11. Do my videos on my dash cam need to be a certain format like MP3, or MP4? I'm really puzzled, I don't know why nothing is showing up. What am I doing wrong?

Hi was watching your tutorial to learn how transfer my photos to my SDCard but when I plug in my device and put the SDCards I don’t get the import camera icon on my phone. Do you think it has to do with the type of iPhone I have? I have an iPhone 12 Pro Max

That may be how it is for that particular SD card reader but I’ve got one and it doesn’t say anything about import. It actually has a whole bunch of complicated options to try and download.

I have an older SD card reader and with the other IXpand you recommended it won’t fit into my camera which I’m using a micro SD card in. I have the adapter but I have two iPads and an iPhone and I go to photo like you show I plug in the reader and put in the card and nothing happens. Maybe my SD card reader is faulty but it was kept in a nice electronics bag and doesn’t have a scratch on it. Don’t know why it’s not working? I tried it in all three devices and same result.
+Troy Vincent there should be a Side Bar that shows your Photo Folders and other Stuff; it really depends on the Card. Micro SD Cards may not work on it; I've never tried it.

I figured out how to do it, you gotta click on “save to files” and then click on the “untitled” option, that’s the SD card.
It does not work the other way round. You cannot export pictures and videos to the card from your iPhone.

Ok what I want to know because I can’t find it anywhere, I have a sd card reader for my iPhone 13 and the sd card is sandisk and I know the adapter has a switch so u can delete the sd card, but it won’t delete any videos or pics from the card itself, but I can do it if I hook it up to my laptop, but don’t want to use laptop so let’s not talk about using my laptop, any info would be great.😃👍

If you have a Micro sd card just get a card reader for that an import it that way.

Yes you can, just save to files, the SD card is probably named “untitled”, save it there.

you can buy what is known as a Wireless USB Stick which Sandisks makes OR get what is known as an ixpand from Sandisk.

I have 5,000 photos on an SD card. I scanned old photos with a small photo scanner. I hope this will actually upload 5,000 photos to my phone. I don’t know the format they are in from the scanner.

@@BlackapinoTheTechGuy found out scanned photos on SD card won’t work with the adapter. They have to be from the digital camera.
The import icon didn't pop up for me.
What does it show? did you name the SD Card? is it a genuine apple product and not a 3rd Party card reader? some of these 3rd Party one's don't work well with iPads.
I was able to import photos from sd card to phone but they disappeared when taking the sd card out.

No Storage on your iPhone or iPad? have you checked the amount of space you have? sometimes if there isn't enough room even if ya think there is, try removing something to see if that works.
The import doesnt come up for my phone
*unplug then replug it back in, try force closign your Photo App or Buy the Sandisk which I talked about in a later video.*

Go to photo and scroll down you will see an icon that says { import} then it will appear for you all the photos and yes !

mines is saying no photos to import.
try reconnecting the it, make sure the SD isn't locked .
