Yes there are sewing kits in Interloper, They just are never there when you need them
Just been watching through this Long Dark series since I'm on an interloper kick myself after a year and half off from playing - your series has the best commentary, I can actually listen to you for long periods of time and enjoy it, you give insightful comments on what you're doing and just an all around joy to watch Hadrian - you've definitely gained a long term subscriber here!
The new cooking mechanics are so great. You can just sit there and listen to meat sizzle and water boil. Really adds to the experience.
I saw a lot of backlash in the forums. I actually like hearing meat sizzle.
And you can be more productive by doing stuff in the background of the cooking
When you eat dog food or other things your character keeps the cans
"Useless body." So business as usual.
Still waiting for Hadrian's reaction to him having almost a dozen empty cans on him. :P

I'd really love a React video of Mark and Jennifer responding back to some of the stuff Hadrian has said in episodes. That'd be so funny.

For your information:
The cooking time for the water is for melting the snow, it does not include the boiling time, so you must take that into account while making water
"I'll spend half an episode picking cattails, I don't even care - lol" I like this guy ;) liked and subscribed :D
The water takes about 30 minutes to become potable water because the snow has to melt and then it has to boil.So that's why your fire goes out before finishing the water.
Ah, cattails. That means Hadrian is happy.
Great episode! Loving this series; helps to while away the time I spend filing documents at work. I'm still new to The Long Dark and haven't gone past Voyager; Interloper seems like an impossibility to me.

I don't know about sewing kits in Interloper, but you should probably yank some gut from a carcass if you can to start curing it for line. You may need a fire to thaw it enough to do by hand (?)

I don’t know. I have many many hours in TLD and I’ve never found the heavy hammer! Here you have it in the first few days. Wow. Love your videos. Keep it up Hadrian.
You can also Harvest scrap metal to repair hacksaw
Don't forget to drop those saplings every chance you get when you're inside... especially if sleeping or cooking for a while or whatnot. I struggle with remembering to do it, too.
Also, when you said "pardon me" I got Incubus stuck in my head.
Jennifer Alvey He doesn’t like to micro everything in the game. He stated in an earlier video since its overly tedious haha. Might not be as efficient but oh well
I wouldn't really consider dropping them while you sleep "micro-managing" since they're useless weight unless they cure, and the only way to do so is to drop them for decent amounts of time.
would you not be able to use the old mans beard as insulation? that would be cool, natural insulation
Okay so I’ve noticed he’s complained about the time to make potable water. Here’s the reason. Firstly you melt the snow that takes the first 19 minuets then it has to boil the water which take more time than melting.
if melting takes 20 min the boiling too. its always the same ammount of time.
To boil water in a recycled can at cooking level 1. It takes in total 38 minuets on a campfire. 19 to melt the snow then 19 to boil the water. With a boil out time of 30 minuets. In a burn barrel same. Cooking stove two slots same. Cooking stove 6 slots same.

In my old a.f Voyager world (over 130 days) I have about 100 cattails.
I always hold a fresh gut on me in a case like Interloper to have something for the wolves to grab instead of me! lol - so maybe just harvest 1 gut from a deer if you don't have time?

You can pass time when cooking. You click it and it will say pass time.

Whats up with car batteries and flashlights? Do they work, how and when..anybody know? Saw old reddit posts but do they still hold the truth?
Yea the only time anything electrical works is during an aura this excludes cars they don’t work in general but maybe one day. But yea during one flashlights gain battery life and radios work. Watch out for cables you can be electrocuted.

In this playthrough, he found his in a fishing hut, of all places.
