    This is so easy. In Australia there is one months quarantine and Rabies vaccination to be given 6 months before travel and blood tests regularly during that period to ensure it is developing antibodies. All in All total cost USD 10000.(AUD 15000). You can't take the dog out of the airport. It goes straight into quarantine for one month.

    Thank you very much for this detailed video! We are planning to move our furbabies too from India to the States. One query I have if you can help with. Polo is a labrador and he travelled to Canada where the temperature is very low than what is it in India.. so during the transits how did you made sure he doesn't feel cold when exposed to such harsh temperature ? Eg: can we add a blanket to the crate or need to put on a Jacket on them or any other tips of possible. All other info helps but I am not getting this info from anywhere so if you can help that will be great! One of the agents mentioned that they dont allow to put anything inside the crate another person said they are not allowed to travel during december to february. So a bit confused on when and how to travel safely accomodating Casper and Archie . They are 2.5 yrs old. And Polo bejng a labrador is not furry too hence reaching out as its yhe same situation with us😊 Lots of love to Polo ❤❤❤❤

    Best video I saw on RUclips regarding pet travel to canada. Thank you so much for educating us.
    I heard that Canada doesn’t allow pets in summers. Also, do we need extra checks for Europe if we are taking our pet through Lufthansa or Air France?
    Also, do we need to choose a long layover so that our pet can travel with us?

    • @maplecoconuts8089
      @maplecoconuts8089  Год назад +1

      Thank you
      We have never heard that Canada has restrictions on bringing pets in summer.
      If you are coming through Europe then definitely check the guidelines that the particular country’s government has.
      We would always suggest to choose short layovers and avoid multiple layovers as if the pet is boarded to a wrong flight mistakenly or something happens like if you miss your flight then no one will take the responsibility. I was told this thing by the airline staff.
      So please try to avoid multiple layovers and prefer same airline.
      Long layovers should not be a problem just that your pet will be tiered.

    • @maplecoconuts8089
      @maplecoconuts8089  11 месяцев назад +1

      It’s easy to get but it’s costly. Our recommendation is that ,there are certain companies that offer pet insurance to the employee’s pets. But if you don’t get one then take from outsiders which are popular as certain insurance companies do not cover full cost.

    Hi, thanks for this! My dog is a bit anxious and might whine if she's taken away from us. Would the airport authorities have a problem with that? Also, do they let you see your pet during the layover?

    • @maplecoconuts8089
      @maplecoconuts8089  Год назад

      All dogs become anxious and scared as well as the journey in cargo is a bit different for them. Don’t worry airlines can never deny the pet from travelling due to this as they know most of the pets are like that. And that’s quite natural.
      If your layovers are more than 3.5 hrs then you can request to meet your dog and sometimes they allow but it all depends on the staff and the airline regulations.

    I am planning to bring my retrievers (X2) to Canada from Bangalore. However when I called Qatar airways in Feb 2024 they said that I have to go through Agents as they don't undertake this service upon themselves anymore. The Agents are only quoting Manifest Cargo, not excess baggage that comes out very expensive. Do you have any contacts/ leads in this regard.

    Congratulations you are united with Polo. would u please mind sharing about the flight details .
    Qatar airways don’t operate directly to Canada .They go upto Doha I recon.
    After that They have a tie up with other airlines such as American Airlines etc .
    Did you contact Qatar airways and American Airlines separately as Qatar airways won’t take responsibility after Doha.
    I would also like to share that emirates policy is different for pets . As per my talk , they won’t allow pets in baggage section if travel is more than 17 hrs . Then cargo air is option.

    • @maplecoconuts8089
      @maplecoconuts8089  Год назад

      Sometimes they tie up with other airlines but then it’s completely your responsibility to coordinate the flights and your pet.

      Our Polo is not from a breeder who could provide us a KCI certificate. Nor he was given his first vaccination either. The only benefit of KCI is that they do microchip and you have the microchip number ahead. Rest all you have to do by your own. My friends have brought Indie street dogs who are amazing dogs to foreign countries.

      Hi
      We don’t know how things work for cats but could be somewhat similar.
      We landed at Montreal airport which is not at all friendly and also I needed help as my pet travelled in cargo so we had problems with getting out of the airport. As you are travelling with your cat in cabin then I don’t think you need any more help.
      At Bangalore Airport and in Canada they will check all the documents that are required by AQCS.
      Once you get a confirmation from AQCS then you will get a clear picture of what all documents are needed.

    Hey. Thanks for the video. I've been really anxious about taking my dog to Canada since a year. And have tried researching a lot. This video was super helpful. If I get my study permit, I'd be going in August. I had some questions, would appreciate if you answer:
    1. Will there be any issue if my dog is aggressive. That's the reason I'm taking him with me. He has nobody to care for him except me. I've been doing most of his works since 4 years and nobody else can go near him as he's aggressive and has very specific trigger factors. So will they inspect my pet when I reach Canada? Is it fine if I keep my dog at a distance from them?
    2. You mentioned that during layovers , they might take the pet out of the crate. Again the same issue, my dog isn't friendly and may bite. Is there any way by which I can be sure nobody will open his crate and pet him/ feed him/ get near him other than me?
    3. Lastly, how safe is it according to you? I've done a lot of research and there is risk involved in taking your pet as cargo. I wish I could take him in cabin. My dog is a 9 year labrador retriever and has been sick the previous year. So how much risk is involved according to you? Neither will they allow me to go in cargo nor will they allow my dog in cabin which is really unfortunate coz he has separation anxiety as well.
    Thank you so much for the informative video;))

      Hi Abhinav,
      Thank you so much for your feedback.
      We also went through a lot of struggle with finding such video that could help us.
      So no one will touch your dog as most of the people are afraid to go near to them if they see that the dog is aggressive and more over the dog will never let them touch unless they feel secure.
      You can also write on top of your dog’s crate certain things like: Live animal inside , Don’t take the dog outside, Don’t feed him and anything that you think might help. Just put a note.
      That is why I said in the video try to book a short duration flight or where layovers are not more than 3 hrs. It’s not compulsory that the crew members might take the dog outside of its crate every time. It was told to me by our friends that sometimes they do so.
      Your dog is 9 year old. To be very frank he is quite old but that doesn’t mean he cannot travel. The best thing you can do is to consult a vet and the vet has to certify the your pet is healthy to travel.
      I’m not discouraging you but due to the age and it’s a long flight so you should consider consulting your vet. As it becomes really difficult for the dogs and they get scared most of the time in cargo.
      Anyways whatever others say if you want your dog to be with you and if he is supposed to be with you then no one can stop it.

    First of all thank you for the video. Could you please let me know if a person can travel with two pets in the cargo ? I have two pets and I'd want them to be relocated along with me. Please help me know. Also, is mild sedation recommended to calm anxious dogs during travel ? Articles on Google aren't exactly helping about it real time.

    • @maplecoconuts8089
      @maplecoconuts8089  Год назад

      Hi Mahitha
      Never ever give sedation to your dog at any cost. I know some airlines suggest that but it’s really harmful. Don’t even think of it.
      Yes definitely you can bring both of your dogs , as I said in the video Qatar Airways allow upto 70kg for one dog.
      Just that you have to book way in advance. Let the airline know about it at least 30-45 days before your travel.
