      One doesn't mind if it's done well and relevant to the audience. This was slick. Didn't even feel like we were watching an ad.

    Not a restoration video, but it was cool as well, and now you have a new tool that opens up a lot of possibilities 👍🏼

    Glad to see you back. A very nice build, indeed. A lot of possibilities there with the laser cutter.
    Cheers.

    A machine like that opens a lot of possibilities, great work as usual. Thanks for sharing and take care!

    Videoclipul acesta mi-a adus aminte de lămpile de traforaj din anii 80 😊

    • @TheSmallWorkshop
      @TheSmallWorkshop  Год назад +1

      Laserul seamana foarte mult cu traforajul si pirogravura combinate. Din pacate asta inseamna ca majoritatea proiectelor sunt decorative, pe cand eu as dori mai mult proiecte utile.

    It is very important that anyone considering one of these open bed cutters buy a full enclosure, if for no other reason than proper protection of your eyesight. These things are no joke, and the orange cover around the laser base is rarely enough to properly ensure you're safe.

    • @TheSmallWorkshop
      @TheSmallWorkshop  Год назад +1

      I have the enclosure, especially for smoke removal.

    Can you share the template for the lamp please? I'm especially interested in the trimming and the temple-like top.

      I'll probably stay in the homemade tools / workshop jigs area. I'm not a big fan of decorative work.

    Just a curious question but what is the maximum thickness of material the laser can cut through? My dad's been looking for a laser engraver for a while and if it includes precision cutting, he'll have a look.

    • @TheSmallWorkshop
      @TheSmallWorkshop  Год назад +1

      I've only had the tool for one week, so I have not tested it to the limits. Thickest thing I've cut was 8 mm laminated flooring. See the manufacturer website for full specks.

    Omgg, this is so different from the usual restorations!!! I've used a laser cutter before and it was super cool!! I hope you have fun using yours :D
    Where's the lamp element tho? No light for us? 😔

      I usually try to alternate one restoring video with one build video. I've done this for the past five years or so. Initially the channel was about building stuff, but one of my quick tips video about rust removal took off and then I started adding restorations to the channel.
