I might be in a category of “the meet up” because I don’t even have anyone yet since I’m a freshman and wouldn’t be interested in that stuff until I’m a senior or in college, also a lot of people are pretty suspicious to me sometimes since some stare at my direction even if they are zoned out or aren’t zoned out or just like my “company” around those suspicious people

This is honestly really helpful, and surprisingly enough, let a lot of weight off my chest. I'm currently in the disillusion/doubts stage with my partner, just that spark we had when we first started dating just doesn't seem to be there anymore, but despite that, we're both working together to keep ourselves close, because we both know that beneath all of the cons, we still love each other more than anything. Might seem counter intuitive but find some separate things to do and then talk to each other about those experiences. Having your own little thing gives you space to be yourself and something exciting to talk about with your partner.
I think every ex I’ve ever had, I never wanted to leave them after 6 months or so for most of them, even though they often got busy and didn’t get back to me, I still wanted to stay every time I was hurt. With the exception of my one emotionally abusive ex, I think I’ve always been the one broken up with.

Honestly me and my boyfriend never been really into these phases after the doubts, we just talk things out every time and completely work on eachother. Weren’t lying and not admitting if we did something wrong, so were 100% honest with eachother. There ain’t any big problems besides some small discussions or conversations. Also we see us everyday. Now i’m scared that this isn’t normal or healthy because we never had those stages :/

Same with my current one! I had doubts, but I just calmly talked them over with my bf and he and I have come to an agreement. It’s nice that way. Sounds like you both are quite mature and are upfront with each other and don’t dwell on small problems.

I believe me and my bf are the stage with doubts. At least I'm there cuz I'm doubting if he still loves me the way he used to. But we talk about it often and he just makes it clear for me that he loves me a lot and he's not even thinking the things I am. So at least that makes me a bit more confident and calm.

Relationships are work. Also helps to keep doing the little things you always did before if you want it to last. I move to intimacy quickly and this will either get them excited as either they’ve missed it with all the casual flings or it scares them because it’s intense and catching “ feels” was not their intention. I get used as a “rental” which is fine but I’m currently not doing online dating because I do want something deeper. People are more willing to work if you meet in your environment instead of online.

I'm definetely either at or past the doubt because, me and my bf, we are almost one in the same, we are similar in personality, tastes, affectionate etc. We did notice our small differences and flaws, but we accepted them and even tried to enter one another's interest :3

I think this cycle is really valid. And I think this cycle repeats, how often depends on the relationship dynamic. But I find that this happens in romantic and other close relationships not just once but almost constant, we end up choosing or not choosing one another. This is great, thanks for the insight!

If most of the phases are doubtful and disillusioned, there is really no point of putting yourself through a fake "honeymoon phase". I'd rather be single than be in a relationship that is just doomed from the beginning. The relationship should get stronger, but most people are convinced that everything good has to fade but you have to stay in a dead relationship to avoid being alone. No thanks.
This is why it’s a good idea to learn about narcissism and manipulation, be true to yourself, and know what you want in life. With those tools, you’ll find someone who’s not as bullshitty as others wanna be in the beginning of a relationship. There are real people out there, you just gotta weed out the NPCs first.
Edit: the tools are not for you to use them, but to recognize those fake and controlling traits in others. Also, not everyone’s perfect, so they will come with flaws, just like ourselves.
Well this video is ironic,since I'm actually planning/struggling to "break up" with someone I recently met...Well not really a break up since we weren't even together,but I still feel bad for turning down his expectations,but I think it may be the best choice rather them give him false hope in the end for feelings I don't share the same way he feels for me...

I'm in a LDR for 8 months now and we're pretty much over the honeymoon phase. As part of building the relationship together, doubts/disillusionment is pretty normal. I had my share of doubts and fights with my significant other but we always sit down and talk about it. Communicating with your partner and being open with your concern does wonders, helps you understand what went wrong and what things needed to be fixed. Most of all, if both sides can't agree on something then COMPROMISE. I went through a lot of difficult relationship before due to lack of communication, being too selfless or selfish. In the relationship I'm in now made me realize that both side should contribute equally, with the same effort, with open communication and putting your heart in a plate for them to see. They're your partner after all, so be open, let them know what you feel and think.

I've been through all of these. Disillusionment is a very hard phase. We took a break and think about what we want and how to make things better for each other. Now we are stronger than ever and plan to get married when we turn 18 :)
I'm glad you guys were able to get through the disillusionment phase and come out stronger in the end! That's a very hard phase to get through and it's great to see someone so young do it.
Though I would advice not getting married so young. This is purely from a medical standpoint. At 18, neither of your brains have full developed. The person you're currently in love with could change a lot by the time their brain has developed fully. This could also be said for you, you may change and may no longer be interested in your partner. It be best to at least wait until after you've both fully grown (early to mid 20s) to see if you're still a good fit for each other.
But I wish you two happiness nonetheless!

Although I am not in a relationship, number 4 in this video meant a lot. In my previous relationship, that’s where I started to doubt things, and just get tired of being with that person because every day I would talk to her, it would be the same old crap everyday. We said we love each other at an overly excessive amount, and then she became clingy. I felt bad leaving her, but it had to be done... we have both moved on and I still talk to her though.

Additionally, most men in this generation don’t attract me because they lack the testosterone and masculine qualities that make a good husband, such as a strong relationship with God, maturity, intelligence, financial independence, among others. Personality is more important than appearance for me. I tend to like older men because they have more of the aforementioned qualities I look for in a husband.

I think for a lot of women, their perspectives about men are dominated by the most stand-out examples of them. The rest of us have our whole entire views on ourselves & sometimes I'm amazed what girls think about my testosterone-d anatomy & how I live with it. I'm honestly just realizing this; it's the same vice versa with how guys think of girls obviously, that their perspectives are insane and more often than not horrible for too many of them, but I never realized the former because I never questioned girls.

Thank you. I needed this. My GF (of 3 years) has been working and going to online school non stop since 2020 and it's somewhat hurt our relationship. But we have since mended things. She's working hard to be able to come up to live with me full time and she had a crush on me before we started dating. She's a sweet but tough woman and my mother utterly adores her. We have a great deal in common and we're excellent to each other. I have gone through doubts many times but I realized it comes with the territory of trusting someone. She's planning to come up to live with me in the winter of 2022. I already have a room for her at my place and there's plenty of job opportunities for her here as well. Regardless, trust your partner and take things slowly. That way you can more easily smooth things out when (not if) bumps in the road come up. Thank you for letting me ramble. Have a good day!

My characters are forced to work together, because the girl was ordered to be the guy's mentor. They are obliged to spend basically every day together, wether they like it or not. The guy liked the girl almost from the start, she, on the other hand, despised him. But during their work together, she noticed him trying his best at training just to impress her, and she is indeed impressed. Eventually she starts to feel closer to him, develops feelings for him too.
However, they will not be able to go through all these stages of relationship that were mentioned in this video, because the guy is highly likely gonna sacrifice himself to save the world, and to save Her.

Personally, I am young and have had little experience with love, but I think the best thing to do is to tell her. It's hard to find how to say some things, but sometimes you can find the moment to talk about things and let your emotions on the topic kinda slide out. Talking your feelings out sounds like something from a young children's television show, but I think that sometimes it can work to heal things, whether they are personal struggles or stress in a relationship.

There is a big stage between honeymoon and doubts. Which you'd probably call comfortability. Yall r settling down more in your relationship and r comfortable with each other and their flaws and little things. You know each other at a deeper level and have experienced things together. Yall r comfortable with embarrassing things around each other and sitting on the couch eating a bag of potato chips comfortably. Idk how to explain it. I just know theres a point in the relationship where it's more relaxed. It wouldnt just go from honeymoon to doubts. :)

My boyfriend and I have known each other for over 15 years now. We basically (unofficially) dated/were together for the first five years, only to move away from each other and grow distant. We randomly started talking again, moved closer to both physically and emotionally, and are stronger than ever. We've been through all of these phases, multiple times. Now that we're older in our 30s, we're mature enough to seethe love we always had for each other, but could never freely admit. I've been introduced to his family as his "hetero life partner," since I'm still a bit distant and weary about full-fledged marriage. The way we both see it, if we've known each other as long as we have and know every horrible thing about the other, have seen each other at our literal worst and we still want to spend our time with each other, that's true love.
Relationships are hard, especially when strong personality traits are involved. Everyone wants things done their way, but that's just not possible to achieve. Compromise and understanding is everything. Know you're going to fight, about *everything.* And know the hate is largely temporary. Anger will fade, but love and respect will not.
I love and hate this channel at the same time. It gives me help when I really need it, but also allows me to build up false hope that I can find a relationship. Like this video.

One thing that I have learned is that you can't have open communication when the other person doesn't want to communicate or understand. You could be talking for hrs, days, or say the same thing different ways and still make no progress.

I see all of these. I agree with them. Number 5 though…. People change with or without relationships… your partner may become another person in the process of loving you, they’ll never be the same person you met and fell in love with. It’s human nature.

Chronologically we're in the honeymoon phase, but we move blisteringly fast. We're facing things from following stages but so far we've been dealing with them as a team, exactly like in the video. I don't see any reason why we wouldn't keep that up through a relationship's ups and downs.
