I enjoy your shorts, though gain so much more from your commentary accompanying the tying techniques and decisions of materials.
    Many thanks!

Thank you Davie, great looking fly. I couldn’t believe that the FM dubbing is made in Kenya 😮.

Davie, yours is the first channel I sub'd many years ago when I signed up for RUclips. You are a master at the bench and have taught us so much. Thank you!

Have never seen wings on a Comparadun. Love that. Also the rough and ready look. Fine and dry May float better but R&R catches fish.

The largest % of dries I tie now are sparkle comparaduns for mayflies. Fast, easy, and best of all, they WORK!

great pattern and as always thanks for all the content, I relied heavily on comparaduns when I was first learning to tie and couldn’t afford dry fly hackle, mine never turned out this nice

Oooooo I wonder if this is exact pattern on a larger size hook would work for Hexagenia hatches down here in the southern USA.
Might want a detached body dry for trout but for big smallmouth hookups would be better on a #8 or #10 hook.

Great video, Davie. As always. I like the looks of the dubbing. You said it is from Fulling Mills. Does it have a name and can it be purchased?
    Thanks, again!

      Hi Joe,
I forgot to list the materials and a link to the dubbing so I have listed the materials and attached a link to Fulling Mills dubbing for you to see..It looks like they have sold out of the dubbing I used though they are a wholesaler as well so if you do a search you may find a shop online that has it in stock..If not I am sure it will be in stock very soon..
      All the very best Davie..
