She and Allie Ostrander are among those who are opening up to help others avoid eating disorders. I'm so proud of these brave young women.

I appreciate when she said "I was always eating.." I did the same in college. I ate, so no one really noticed, but was burning so many calories working out-that I got to 10% body fat. Foot fractures followed, weakened bones, etc. Parents/coaches need to be aware of this. Thanks for the video. Very helpful.

Really appreciate her vulnerability and ability to express her experience. It will be a huge help to other athletes and people going through similar challenges. Much love and God bless

Thank you for sharing this story. It is a real but mostly hidden problem in the sport.

Around the same thing happened to my sisters. They were running so much and so hard and they weren’t getting enough nutrients in there body that they stopped growing. It’s been a couple of years now and they’re still trying to get back to where they should be.

Such a shame! I’m a victim of an eating disorder but also a strong distance runner. I’m glad me and my eating disorder have parted so I can focus on being strong.
