Congrats on the career change! My crazy GSX-R 750 story: At the end of the riding season in 2016 I bought a brand new GSX-R 750, black on deep charcoal gray, and I was absolutely in love with it. I rode the crap out of it until November, and then put it away for the winter. I also dropped my comprehensive insurance for the winter because I wouldn’t be riding. The VERY FIRST DAY I took it out of storage in 2017, and before I reactivated my insurance, some loser stole it. So I was left heartbroken with no bike and a monthly loan payment. I bought a RSV4 as a replacement, but never got over losing my 750. 2 years later in 2019 I get a random letter from the NYPD stating that they recovered my bike, and I had 14 days to pick it up, otherwise it was going to auction. I figured the bike was in awful shape, but I still made arrangements to pick it up. I go to this warehouse in Brooklyn, and there are literally 1,000s of bikes there. After talking with the clerk, I found out the bike was found literally a week after it was stolen, but because it was part of an open investigation, they couldn’t tell me. The only damage (luckily) was a hot-wired ignition, cracked rear fender/blinker and they brutally ripped my yoshimura fender eliminator off the bike! And so I got my bike back. I ended up trading up for the 2018 GSX-R 1000R because I felt like the bike had bad juju on it from the loser who stole it lol, but I still got it back! I have no idea why I’m sharing this, but hey, if you read all this, ride safe, have an awesome day and KEEP YOUR BIKE INSURED!
@@RKMotorsports thieves are the worst, but someone who steals another man’s motorcycle… they’re bottom of the barrel. Thanks for the reply bro! Love your channel, best of luck going full time!
Thats awesome you got your bike back, but that's bs that they didn't contact you and give your bike back as soon as it was recovered. How can they keep your bike because they're investigating? What would they need the bike for?
Watching your channel inspired me to go to Motorcycle Mechanic school in my area. Congratulations on the big jump! I hope it works out for you guys. Love the channel!
Why gsxr s are so good looking? 🥺😭 I love your videos and feel confident about bike rebuilding and all. Currently rebuilding my own bike. Love from India ❤️ thank you.
Listen I like your vids. You guys do full restoration and amazing. But I think you can squeeze maybe 4 or 5 more vids for every build. I think you can explain more here and there and unbox things as they arrive and give us what is in store on the next video.
That’s great that you guys took the leap to go full time on RK 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼… I really love watching this channel, I just hope you guys don’t change (like everyone else) and become an infomercial (trying to sell products every 5 secs in the video)…good luck you guys
Congratulations on doing your thing full-time. You guys are going to do great! 🍾🎊🎉🍻 This is like a crash course on buying from auctions. Can't start off using business checks, mileage doesn't match paperwork, and I guess there's lots of waiting around. It's all going to be worth it in the end.
My brother unfortunately crashed his cbr600 yesterday and is currently in the hospital. I mounted brand new tires and ordered a new fairings kit the night before and the bike was totaled from a hit & run. He has had the bike for less than 2 months and is devastated. Poor guy. The tow truck driver said “wow those tires look brand new”. Of course they did they had only 20 miles on them. He had a plate and screws put in his wrist as it was shattered and dislocated and now has no vertical “hinge” movement (just one of his injuries) and will not be able to ride for at least a year if ever. All this because of someone else’s carelessness. Of course I want revenge but there’s nothing I can do
Can't wait to see the future builds you'll have now that RK is full time! Btw if you ever get the chance grab one of those ztr 3 wheel karts from China been wanting to see an in depth view of them and I think it'd be a cool project or toy for you guys
Congrats on going full time! Glad you’re going to do something you enjoy. Good job on picking that Suzuki, because that doesn’t look like it’ll be too much work. I’m also assuming the previous owner hasn’t butchered the wiring harness for the LEDs. As for fairings. I’ve always liked the OEM blue/white scheme, but you commonly seem to have a trick up your sleeve when it comes fairings. Good luck, dude!
In all honesty the bike doesn’t look that bad just some minor scuffs and little bit of fairing work but it’s under the body work that’s the big question
Rob, so STOKED you picked up that Gixxer!👍🏻 I’ve owned many different generations of Gixxers and the K11 (11-20) Gixxer is my favorite. Many of my past rockets were “R” titled . Honestly they just aren’t worth the wrench time. Parts etc. UNLESS one were to keep an “R” title to keep/ride. You lose your ass on them when selling. A got a legit 2014 Gixxer 750 and said to hell with the “R” title dealio. Just my 2 cents. Hopefully you do better flipping it than I did. Peace
Your going into business for yourselves is great! Be your own bosses! A question. I watch your channel a lot. Are sport bikes the only ones you work on?
Love the vids man. Did they tell you exactly why they deemed the bike salvaged? I thought they only do that if it was stolen or if there was frame damage.
Congrats on the career change!

It amazes me how far behind USA banking systems are. In southern Africa cheques became redundant some time ago already

Thanks Mike! Happy with the choice so far!

Looking forward to this rebuild - shame you can't get a new nose for it, as that gen GSXR is fugly!

I got a 2015 600 and agree.

I am absolutely no GSX-R fan but i really want a GSX-R 750 at least K5 but preferably K7 upward.
Just waiting to find a good offer in my area.
I can’t wait to see the build videos for that bike
I like all the motorcycle that you restore...hope someday...i hope someday i own one sportbike

How to get a title for a salvage bike?
Your going into business for yourselves is great! Be your own bosses! A question. I watch your channel a lot. Are sport bikes the only ones you work on?
I am mainly sportbike focused, but we work on ATVs and dirtbikes as well
Love the vids man. Did they tell you exactly why they deemed the bike salvaged? I thought they only do that if it was stolen or if there was frame damage.
Convert it to led fully. No underglow leds though. They don’t suit bikes or cars at that point
I would never have bought a salvage bike with 21,000 miles on it . I can see how you got the bid...wow did you get ripped off !
is SEAN amish, is he rumspringa his wild oats!!! he is so cute!!! maybe we can share a potatoe sometime. BIGGEST FAN !!! love your vids.
Sean is actively taking applications for new friends to share his potatoes with
So cool 😎
I have a 1996 Suzuki GSXR 1100 with 21.000 miles on it an people was telling me it had too many miles I guess they were wrong
Is it good idea to get a bike from auction ?
congrats!!!
Thanks Gavin!
Hard to believe that was deemed a total loss... How?
That bike has more or less just cosmetic damage.. How did it get a salvage title? Any hidden issue that's not apparent initially?
I've noticed more often than not bikes will get totaled just for damage to the fairings...
can i ship you my Honda CBR 954RR Fireblade for a rebuild? btw i am from Greece hehe! keep it up RK! ✌✊
That would be an expensive shipping cost for sure!
Hell yeah
I’m trying to purchase my very first sports bike
this one's gonna sell fast...great score, RK & (stay away from BK!)😅
Hahaha that BK really got me this time
How can I get in the salvage auction
Do you sell the bikes to im interested in buying one
Yes another Boss pissed.
Hahahaha
Yes, weekly vids?
That's the plan from here on out!
@@RKMotorsports good choice on this Gsxr I’ve loved the body style and do you buy these bikes fix them then re-sell them?
What is the total you spent buying new parts?
The potato looks raw tf
shout out idol
👍👍👍
I got the older version k2 1000 it scares the sHit out of me 😅
I bet what happened is the tires was not broken in and he did a wheelie and down she went. Just a guess.
Do you sell any old parts that you remove off the bikes you rebuild ? I need a few left fairings !😂
Not at the moment...
Burger King make you wanna do a number 2 dwl🤣🤣🤣...
Bro how much you gonna want for it when it's done ? I'm looking for a bike ASAP
Keep an eye on our facebook page! we will be posting it once ready for sale!
I thought it was you primary job
Nope! Not until now!
i bet you the previous owner guy simply went too hard on the new tyres and slid out by the looks of it
That's what we were thinking!
Hopefully your getting own plastic not the remold bc there cheap and thin what I’ve heard
Eating a potato 😂
